Mathematics Proves Holy Scriptures

Rate this book
As watermark identified the genuineness of paper, so there are mathematical patterns beneath the surface of the original text of the Bible so complex they can only be accounted for by Divine Providence. This book reveals some of these patterns found by Ivan Panin and shows how he used these to arrive at what he considered a possibly pure Greek text he then translated into English in his “Numeric English New Testament”. (“Mathematics Proves Holy Scripture” is the same content as "Ivan Panin's Astounding New Discoveries".)

I’m a sucker for numbers as well as the Bible so this book seemed right up my alley. I also thought the author, Ivan Panin, had a captivating testimony for why he became a believer. He was a well known atheist living in Russia who, having stumbled upon reading a certain Bible passage, started a lifelong investigation. The passage is as follows: “In the Beginning was the Word and the Word was with THE God and the Word was God.” This is the literal translation of the famous verse in John, but most translations don’t include that awkward “the” before God. But the question arises: why is there an article before “God” the first time and not the second time?

Panin began investigating this phenomenon by counting the number of words and number of letters in certain bible passages and found a strange association with the number seven. For instance, the number of words in Genesis 1:1 would be seven (or 7x1) and the numbers of letters would be 28 (or 4x7). He started digging deeper and started counting words that started with a consonant and words that started with a vowel ... and they too would end up being a multiple of seven. Much of this research wouldn’t just stop at certain passages but expand through out the whole Bible. For example, the number of times the word “Moses” appeared in the Old Testament is a multiple of seven.

As one can imagine this business of counting and dissecting countless Bible passages is extremely tedious work. Panin literally wrote tens of thousands of pages of raw data over the course of multiple decades. Which is the kicker for my somewhat low rating ... this book isn’t actually written by Panin, but is actually another author who looked at his data and is giving it to us in a digestible way (after all, who has time to look through tens of thousands of pages of raw numbers and figures? Certainly not the average Joe).

But this particular author, I felt wasn’t that great of a writer. Certainly the subject matter is very interesting (e.g., numerical designs found in the Bible), but it was written in a very repetitive, nearly boring fashion, with countless phrases such as “amazingly newly discovered facts”, “strangely hidden under the surface of the biblical text”. These same lines would repeat themselves over and over again, I felt I was being over the head with the same points.

Don’t get me wrong ... it’s a good book if one wishes to increase their faith in the authenticity of the Bible (especially from such an unorthodox source) ... it’s just not a very entertaining book and is somewhat poorly written.

Almighty God has provided the 'scientific' (man of science) brain conclusive evidence of a singular 'divine' source of inspiration for the Holy Bible, even though it has been proven to have at least 40 seperate writers over nearly 2,000yrs of documented history.

This is my third attempt with regards to explaining my apparent 'back peddling' in ref to Ivan Panin book on Bible Codes proving the validity of Scripture.
The first attempt was a few days past and after spending a couple of days researching, i felt comfortable(ish) to go ahead and explain away my new findings. The thing is, this never happened due to a rather annoying bug buzzing around my head and computer screen, which i eventully managed to squish, but only after erasing a few hours work, which, if i am honest, was not altogether unexpected as similar occurances have happened many times before now.
The second time that i attempted to write and explain, i simply lost the 'will' to finish it after a couple of hours, so lost the text (timed-out).
As stated, these 'mysterious' occurances have happened on quite a few occasions before now, and i believe 'most', not all, were from God (due to myself leaning on 'my own' understanding and not that of the Holy Spirit (my guide, John 14:13 and 1 John 4:4).
So, i can only apologise most sincerely for what i now believe to be an erroneous initial posting and hope that this did not cause one to stray down the wrong path in any way.

My mistake was made evident to myself after it was impressed upon me to take a closer look at Bible numbers such as the No:9 and combinations thereof ie 144, 72, 81, 18 and so forth (after researching the 144 thousand of Revelation verses).
It was then that i took another look at Ivan Panin and realised that he (apparently) attributed his early works/discoveries to that of Westcott' and Hort' 'gnostic' versions of the New Testament (circa 1881) and of which were taken from the Alexandrian texts, Codex Vatanicus and Codex Sinaiticus, as opposed to the Textus Receptus (received text) that the KJV Bible was formed and compiled mainly from (the works of one Erasmus i believe/understand).

After spending the last week earnestly attempting to research into this very important subject, and after having looked at much information from many different websites, books, reviews and commments re said matter, i concluded that the best option for myself regarding coming to a 'satisfactory' answer ie conclusion, was to determine the matter through using my common sense (God given senses or gut-feeling) and that of 'which' kingdom stood to gain or lose more in this particular instance, that of the kingdom of Almighty God, or that of Satan the devils.

Around the era these individuals were around, Westcott, Hort, Panin etc; there were great debates held regarding the True nature of our world, our early history and the origins of man.
Needless to say, the evolutionists won the day with Darwinism and natural selection, along with the Capernaem theory and that of the big-bang theory (all the understanding of man) winning the day, and all contrary to that of the Holy Bible narrative and the Truth of our Creator Father.
I have recently posted many comments regarding my findings re modern day bibles translation and interpretations, as opposed to that of the KJV, of which i, personally, believe justifiably demonstrates the validity (Truth) over that of its modern day counterparts, which are quite frankly 'left wanting' in some cases in comparison to that of the KJV translaion (in my own firm but humble opinion).

Furthermore, there are evidences of dablings in the occult ie 'mysticism' associated with said characters Westcott and Hort, of which they fessed-up to and made their excuses, but only 'after' being exposed first, else they would have very likely remained silent in the hope nobody would find out, which is what most people attempt to do with their sin (shame) today.
Then there is the matter of the early teachings of Origen, of which both men claim to have been admirers and followers of. Origen 'denied' the deity of Jesus Christ, so then 'why' the confession that they admired and followed Origen' teachings? (Contrary Mary' are rife in our modern day churches).
Chuck Missler has a very revealing post I would urge you to go watch and listen to regarding these last statements, entitled; Westcott and Hort verses the KJV Bible by Chuck Missler, of whom is my second favourite servant of the LORD and whom i, personally, trust emphatically in this matter to deliver you and i with a Truthful account of his (Missler' findings).
Chuck Missler also delves into Ivan Panin and his heptadic sequence Bible code of Mark 16:9-20 (or the last 12 verses of Mark chapter 16), which is very, very intriguing indeed to watch and listen to.
The main problem that i, myself, have with Panin is his 'reported' earlier claim to have been 'insipired' by both Westcott and Hort and their modern day interpretation of the New Testament via the Alexandrian 'gnostic' (mystic) texts, is that Panin, Wescott and Hort (among others) were from the upper-classes (and thus likely knew each other, or at least knew of each other) and as Panin was said to have been 'exiled/banished' from his native Russia in 1882, due to plotting against the Czar, i think it fair to state that an asset such as Panin would never have been allowed to leave Russia, may st certainly not for plotting against a Czar (which history informs us were ruthless on the whole), not unless there was another ulterior motive, such as shedding doubt on the Truth, which is that of the KJV Bible and the Word of God (just a guess on my part, but i believe it to be a valid one and very poss True, as a genius such as Panin could have 'cooked' the books ie arranged the words of the New Testament interpretation of Westcott and Hort to suit their needs).
Furthermore, Panin appears to have done a 'u-turn' regarding his earlier stance with Westcott and Hort and provided us with "The Last 12 Verses of Mark" which was first published in 1910 and uses 'original' Greek text from the septuigent Bible.
Panin demonstrates very convincingly that the chances of the text being that of anything other than that of God are almost impossible to imagine, and Panin demonstrates this claim with both words and numbers (gematria).
It is hard not to imagine that Panin might well have had a 'change of heart' at this stage in his life as he would have had very compelling evidence to substantiate the validity of a Creator God and the authenticity of His Holy Bible narrative? Go see on Chuck Missler video online and decide for yourself what is Truth, as it is important you do just that as i can assure you/promise you faithfully.

Since Panin also first went to Germany in his early years of said exile/banishment, it was also impressed upon myself to take a look at The Throne of Satan (Seat of Satan from Revelation chapter 2), whereby German archeologists (who were identified as the ancient tribe/race of Assyria by Herbert W Armstrong) had managed to find, unearth and bring back to Germany around 1850, coinciding with both the birth of the German nation, along with the birth of communism (through Karl Marx, coincidences?).......the anti-Christ is said to be the Assyrian of Zechariah 11:17, so it should be no surprise then that both WW1 and WW11 were initiated by the German nation, who even now as we speak are the strongest nation in Europe (again).......Will we ever learn?

Lastly, regarding using one's God given senses to determine a Truth, it is no coincidence that only the God of the Holy Bible is regularly attacked, and not that of any other, be it from atheists, agnostics, other religions, whatever.
It is only the deity and sovereignty of our Lord Jesus Christ and the good news of the Gospel Message that is regularly attacked today by just about everyone, including that of many professed Christians (shocking, but True).
And it is 'only' that of the King James Bible that is attacked regularly over that of any other would be version, translation or interpretation.......these facts alone should inform the seeker of Truth they are on the straight path.
But please don't take my word for it, go look for yourself.

"Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
(For all these things do the gentiles seek. For your Heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day 'is' the evil thereof."

Matthew 6:31-34
