She started writing her first novel in June 2013 and hasn’t looked back since. Working at home as a full-time writer of books, when she is not pounding on the keyboard she can be found reading, playing with her kids, spending time with her family, and connecting with her close friends. She’s spent her entire life in the Pacific Northwest, lives in Portland, Oregon, and can’t imagine ever being anywhere else… except maybe somewhere tropical.

***BOOK 1***

I love Anie Michaels and her books. Hard. I will read anything that she writes without looking at the synopsis. I don't care what it is about, I will read it. When she said she had a secret project in the works and it was a serial I was super excited.

Lena married her college boyfriend Derrek and when she did she was so happy. She found her happy ever-after at nineteen and he was also someone her parents would approve of. She was expected to marry a businessman and she felt, he was perfect for her and not just someone she was expected to marry but wanted to marry.

Now, Seven years later she was where she didn't want to be, in a marriage that was one-sided. It was not all of sudden but getting worse by the years. She didn't know what to do next but she knew she needed a change. She wanted her husband back. What will happen when complications suddenly appear?

I try my hardest not to have any spoilers in my reviews so I will stop there with the overall review part about the book.

I will say that I love Lena and her her overall attitude. She is not going down without a fight. The book has some mystery to it which I love since I believe I was a PI in my first life. I can't wait to find out what happens next!

Anie did an amazing job on her first serial, it had me hooked from the first page. And it was also different then anything she has written before.

***BOOK 2***

Private Encounters picks up where Private Affairs left off...Lena on her way to Preston, the man her body craves but her mind shouldn't want. But it does. She wants all of him, every single side of him. Preston knows so much about Lena but she doesn't know really anything about him. All she knows is that he wants her trust and she has given it to him. Is she right to give it so soon?

Preston wants to protect Lena and get the evidence she needs to start her life without her asshole husband. He always wants her in all kinds of positions and they are all very sexy ones. They are so hot together, their chemistry is amazing and know how to eat at a restaurant like nobody's business.

I am addicted to this serial. It's sexy, mysterious and has its twists. Lena wants to know more about her mysterious PI and trying to figure out her future, with or without him. Preston is sexy as sin, demanding, sweet and very protective. But Lena can walk away from her marriage with nothing...is he worth the risk?

Anie is the Queen of Cliffhangers and I for one f- love it!

***BOOK 3***

Lena is angry and heartbroken from all the betrayal around her. She needs to get away from Portland and start a new life and fast. She doesn't even know where she is going until she gets to the airport...Maui it is!

Lena is still reeling from her life in Portland. She misses her best friend and thinking about Preston. She doesn't want to think about him but she can't help it, he got to her like nobody else. But, she needs to move on from that life. She can't just sit in her hotel room, she has to find a job and a place to live.

Lena develops some unexpected friendships on her way. She has a hard time trusting people these days but they are helpful and don't ask too many questions about her past. She seems to be getting along great until boom! (Not going to tell...)

Will Lena stay on her new little island getaway? Can she really just let go of the past?

I love this series...it gets my mind going and all detective like. I can't wait for the next book!!!

***BOOK 4***

Private Property is the fourth and final serial in the Private series. It starts where Private Getaway left off, Preston and Lena together in Hawaii. They are working on their relationship and trying to figure out what is the next step to moving on but everyone is ready for them to do that...not yet anyway.

When Lena's ex, Derreck left Portland he made more than one mistake. He made many, but the biggest was leaving with Edgar's money and now it is time for him to pay up. Edgar won't let Preston and Lena start their new life until Derreck is in the gone for good and he has his money back and believes Preston is the only man for the job.

Preston and Lena have a plan to end it all once and for all. It is calculated, illegal and the best way to end Derreck for everything that he has done to Lena while they were married and after screwing her over after it ended.

Preston will do anything for his love, protect her, own her and give her everything she deserves. The first step to moving on is to deal with Derreck even if in the end, he is dead.

This was the perfect ending for the series. Preston and Lena met under very difficult circumstances and have gone through so much and deserve to move on from their past but can they in the end? Can Lena ever go back to the one place that broke her?

Overall...I loved the series. Preston is sexy, protective and sweet. Lena is stronger than she believes and together they are one hot and fierce couple. It is a unique story and full of love, forgiveness and suspense.

Great Read

Some surprises here that, well, took me by surprise. Little bit of mystery and suspense with lots of steamy heat. Lovely romance with great character development.

This serial is my first read from this author. I am delighted with the words she puts down on paper! Anyone who comes up with ideas on how to do something properly, no matter how bizarre, is talented in my eyes.

Private Affairs by Anie Michaels is absolutely fantastic!!! Talk about an emotional, on the edge of your seat, and wanting revenge type of book!!! WOW!! I truly loved it! 
I felt with Lena through out the entire book. My heart was breaking for her and her broken relationship with her husband, Derrek. I won't even tell you my thoughts of the husband. Preston Reid, on the other hand, is the hottie hired by Lena to prove that Derrek is unfaithful. What is uncovered to Lena will rock your world. I won't go into detail, I don't give spoilers away. You must read this book!! 
Let me tell you, I couldn't put this book down. The suspense of the story makes you want MORE, MORE, MORE!! I can not wait to read Private Book #2. 
Anie Michaels is one of my all time favorite authors. I have read all of her books and will continue to do so. I highly recommend Private Affairs and all of Anie's books.

*Private Encounters
This is the second book in Anie Michaels The Private Serials. Private Encounters starts off right where Private Affairs leaves us. 
Private Encounters is a very HOT and steamy read. The intense chemistry between Preston and Lena are off the charts. Private Encounters is full of action packed, hot scenes, betrayal, lies, revenge, and a whole lot of oh my goodness moments. This book hooks the reader from the very first page and doesn't let go at the end. This book will stick with you long after you read it. 
Anie Michaels has done it again in Private Encounters. Brilliant. Five AMAZING stars!!!

*Private Getaway
I will start off by saying...Anie Michaels has done it yet once again in this absolutely AMAZING read!!! Private Getaway is book three in this wonderful series. 
The title is absolutely perfect for this book. The beach, the running, the feeling of starting over and leaving it all behind. The way Anie Michaels describes the setting, I could see it!!! I could picture it all in my head as if I was there with the characters. 
The story flowed very nicely and kept my interest the entire time. I could have EASILY read this all at once and not put the book down, but being a Mom I had to put it down and only for a little while. 
I could feel it in my stomach that something was going to happen. I knew that Preston had deep feelings for Lena and he would have never been able to stay away from her. They are just meant to be. I knew something was for sure coming...but that was totally unexpected and totally GREAT!!
HOT, STEAMY SCENES, love, betrayal, secrets are just some of the emotions you feel through the characters as you read Private Getaway. The ending...oh WOW! Someone is in for it!!
I can not wait for the next book!!!!!! I want more!!!! Preston and Lena are off the charts! HOT couple with revenge on their minds!!! Wahoo!!! ABSOLUTELY FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC!!! Five stars!!

*Private Property
Private Property by Anie Michaels is an absolutely fantastic read. This is book number four in The Private Serials and continues right where Private Getaway leaves off. Preston and Lena are working towards building their trust and relationship back to what it was before. However, people from their pasts are showing back up and bringing with them sought after revenge and redemption. The fans of The Private Series must continue on with the journey of Lena and Preston. 
Anie Michaels does not disappoint in this fourth book. The twist and turns leave you on the edge of your seat and wanting more. 
As with all of Anie Michaels books, you as the reader, feel all of the emotions as the characters do. The story was very captivating and I couldn't put it down!
I highly recommend Private Property and the entire Private Serials. This series is OUTSTANDING!!!

The Private Serials is a departure from Anie Michaels’ normal storylines. While this story begins with the emotional devastation I’ve come to love/hate from Anie, things heat up in this story in a new and exciting way. Our female lead, Lena, is about to have her world turned upside down and as events unfold, Anie had me twitching to see how this would all play out. This story had me hooked from the beginning, completely intrigued by the chemistry between the characters from the moment they met. Anie Michaels hit the nail on the head with this one, keeping us securely locked in on the crazy rollercoaster ride that is Lena and Preston’s story.

I enjoyed watching the sparks fly between these two and Anie had me giddy with their fun and sexy banter. I adored the character growth we see in Lena during the book. Anie really brings her into her own. Despite what she’d been through, Lena never felt jaded, allowing me to maintain my connection with her character as she continued on her journey. Preston is just… yum. He is alpha and passionate and so very much the opposite of Derrek, who Anie had me wanting to punch in the face. I loved the contrast of these two men in Lena’s life. The secondary characters were great additions to the story, giving us another perspective on both Lena and Preston, adding to the growth of these characters.

Anie Michaels is full of surprises, giving this serial a suspenseful turn that kept me hooked. Preston and Lena’s story was incredibly revealing of this couple. The situations they find themselves in put their kindness and compassion to the test and I thoroughly enjoyed watching them handle things. The Private Serials had me riding the full spectrum of emotion. My heart ached for Lena and it beat wildly at the prospect of what Preston could bring into her life. The Private Serials is fun, sexy, enticing, and unexpected. The world Anie Michaels has created is full of vivid, colorful characters, exciting twists, and addictive tension that will leave you grinning.

Outstanding

I bought this book as a random purchase. Never have I been so enthralled so quickly. This series pulled me in and never let me go. It had an amazing story line, well written and kept me engrossed until the end. I haven't read anything from this author before so am pleasantly surprised, I will be looking into her other books without hesitation.
