As the showdown with Akim draws nigh, have Staz and Wolf trained hard enough to make a difference in the coming battle? Would their strength even matter if the Blacklisted actually take the stage, or will Demon World's most notorious villains eradicate one another before the games even begin? And of course, all of this may be a moot point if Braz's scheming pays off...
The showdown is on the horizon, but is Akim just too powerful now for anyone to have even a prayer of surviving...?
Things are getting really good. I'm glad we're getting to see more of Patti and the possibility of a redemption for Burgundy.
I like that it's starting to look as if we might actually get somewhere with the romance that's been hinted at from the very start. I also like that Bell was able to get her feelings off her chest and hope she gets something come the end of the story (whenever that may be).
That ending was quite the cliffhanger, though. I can't believe I have to wait months to find out what happens.
Blood Lad drips with fanservice, but don't let that (nor the cover in this case, ahem), fool you. This is a witty and smartly written series. I just wish the releases were closer together...I think it's been about a year since I read volume 6? That's way too long, and will be too long until volume 8 comes out. sigh.
The story is still good and the characters are interesting, but there are too many of them and it's getting too hard to keep track of who's who. 4-stars is still a good rating.
QUITE a few characters in this one, the fights got a little confusing, and, well, it just kind of felt a little all over the place. Moving on to the next!
An interesting turn of events, to be sure. This collection had more heart than any of the others, with relationships between characters getting more definition in a serious manner, instead of the soap opera way it was treated before. And having to root for Braz is a new experience, but unfortunately it probably won't end well. This is the most exciting the series had been!
It's been awhile since I read the sixth omnibus, so I was a little confused trying to remember who everyone was and what they were doing. That said, I still enjoyed this story as everyone moves in on Akim.
