The war is on! Conflict grips the Iron Head Nebula and the star system that Jake, Ayan, Minh-Chu and their loved ones call home. The Order of Eden, British Alliance and other organisations creeping in the shadows enter into an all-or-nothing conflict that will change the political shape of the galaxy for centuries while Freeground is forced to leave its home space in search of help and safety. This is what the crew of the Triton, the Warlord and the residents of Haven Shore hoped to avoid, but it was inevitable. The great galactic war has begun, and there are even more combatants waiting in the shadows to exert their influence on the conflict If you'd like to begin reading this best-selling indie Space Opera from the very beginning, you can find the first volume, Spinward Fringe Origins, for free wherever quality Ebooks are sold.

The series are not consistent, looks like the author doesn’t know where to take the series, something is getting lost on the way. Ayan and Jake are not meant to be together, why push it? Stephanie and Jake were a much better couple, more chemistry. Still upset that the author tries so hard to find a reason to keep Ayan and Jake close but not together. There are plenty of unanswered questions too. What happened to Liam Grady and the alliance between the Order and Earth. Read it if you are fan of the series but don’t expect something exciting or new.
Another good book in the Spinward Fringe series. There are times that it felt a bit disjointed or rushed. I have some questions about the actions of Citadel and feel like that could have been better explained. However, they are a super secret faction, so maybe we would be left guessing as to their motivation. Can't wait to read the next broadcast!
Wow, what a great return (for me) to the Spinward Fringe series. I had missed reading these novels and loved the way it played out with the old and the new reuniting again. This is a great action-packed series with fantastic characters. What made this series stand out for me was the insightful vision of future technology that is far beyond anything I have read in scifi or space opera books before. I would give it a 4.5 only because I need to have room for the future books to score perfect!
Been reading this book series off and on since my junior of college. This space opera is well written and full of plot twists. The authors imagination is vividly expressed in every letter. I would highly recommend.
I am disappointed at these last three books. I was hoping they would get back as good as the first book. I stopped looking forward to the next book. I am done.
Book number nine in the Spinward Fringe series, number ten if you count the prequel, maybe number eleven if you count at least one short story or novella I can think of that has taken place along the way. This is still a great series and it definitely meets the definition of a Space Opera, but I think it's starting to run out of steam. Three stars might be the lowest rating that I've come across yet. I would encourage the writer to come to a conclusion I think with these particular characters and move onto others in the same world if necessary.
This book saw a normal amount of combat (lots) for the series, both personal and massive scale space battles that people love. Lalonde is a great writer and that shows with the character arcs that some of his characters have experienced in terms of growth and change more than in others. The Framework idea was pure scientific genius and I can't see many people realistically abandoning the entire concept of that the way that his main characters seem to be doing in rejecting it and having it removed from them in this book. Dangerous yeah, but so useful and awesome you'd be crazy not to try to continue advancing that technology and working the kinks out. For people who are otherwise so scientifically minded, that course of action doesn't make sense to me.
Personally, as much as I like the main characters, I'd be okay with a few of them getting killed off. Maybe that would revive the series a little. This has turned into a bit of a series where no one the writer likes dies and everyone around them in terms of supporting cast has been killed off and replaced about a half dozen times over by this point.
Spinward Fringe was the first large series I ever read, but I am glad I took the chance on it as I kept passing it by as it didn't seem interesting. I finally decided, hey the first book is free, I'll give it a shot, and the rest is history. I can't put it down. I have read through Broadcast 6 at least twice. I can only say that I recommend this series to anyone that is a sci-fi fan. You will love it.
I've just binged through 9 books in this series. I need a break no matter how good the series is. The story is very dense with activity. But it's mostly good activity. The only complaint I have is the editing could be a bit better. I recall one incidence of the word "are" being used for "our" and there were a few other minor errors throughout the book.
Apparently book 10 will be available before the end of the year. I'll be looking for it.
Once again the adventures of the crew's of the warlord continues. We see the crew fighting for their lives, but even the lost of their ship fails to stop them. They capture a new ship that will help them to continue the fight with their enemy's.
A great book. Lots of action, lots of space battles. Spoiler alert required for complaints: Space ships are not musical chairs. Character development is a bit off but that is explained though it still gives me mental whiplash.
Randolph has continued to prove himself as a wonderful storyteller. His characters are believable, the pacing of the story is excellent, and he again takes his readers on a ride that is both satisfying and over too soon.
My favorite one so far. This series just gets better and better. Maybe it is because I am so invested in the characters! Now that I am caught up, I cant wait for the next book and find out what is in store for the crew next!
A finely woven texture of plots subplots and scenarios
This series contains just enough detail, character development and technology to keep you hooked from book to book . The complexity and pace of development is very intriguing .
I burned through the first nine books of this series so fast, that I finally had to wait for the next in the series. If you are a fan of Space Opera, you'll love this series.
A great installment to the Spinward Fringe universe. We're out of the political posturing and back into the great action, awesome technology and the promise of a great storyline going forward. I wasn't disappointed.
