I have received the ARC copy of the book from the author.
"Off Limits" is the 3rd book in the Hunted series and my first story written by Bethany Shaw.
Eden is half human-half wolf, a Halfling, unable to shift and living in the Shifter's Sanctuary under the protection of Xander a full blooded wolf shifter.
The shifter society and those living under the protection of the Sanctuary is full of prejudices against the half breeds like Eden or shifter cross breeding.
Most of the shifters must mate by their 25th birthday with a shifter from their own breed.
Besides the prejudices among shifters there are Hunters who are experimenting and killing the shifters.
Xander has grown up with all the prejudices against people/ shifters like Eden however his heart has other plans even though he is denying it.
Eden and Xander are true mates and when they are both kidnapped Xander finally admits his feelings and their bond and the come together as a mated couple.
The story was fast paced and full of action pretty well written. Eden and Xander went though a lot of troubles for such a short story.
The book gets only 3 stars and I am ready to face people disagreeing with me because as it happens with most of the short stories there are gaps, things left unclear, unexplained events and there was a rush to finish at the end. The only love scene was not enough for me to connect with Xander and Eden as a couple. I wanted a connection with both Xander and Eden but for me it was not there.
The shifter society felt awkward and not even on defense mode with all the Hunters coming after them; they seemed more preoccupied of politics and prejudices than the well being of all shifters.
I admit I read the 3rd book in the series but from what I can see there are unresolved issues from the previous ones.
I know other readers will love it but I just liked it.

I received an arc copy of this book for review. This is a first time author for me and I will have to go over and read the other two books in this series. But this book can be read out of order. I found it an interesting book and would recommend this author to anyone who likes shifter romances.

I can't believe Xander's mom didn't even have a little or try to change because of her son. Maybe they too are working with the Hunters. I'm glad Eden forgave Xander to mate with him.

Off Limits is exquisitely written and breathtakingly captivating in its exploration of a love so full of power and promise that it cannot be denied. This was a story full of danger and hate that was permeated with a fierce yet gentle love that tirelessly worked to bring two beautiful people together. Theirs was a connection that couldn’t be denied for long without ripping them apart from the inside out. When the danger reached a critical level, they were forced to decide if they would allow themselves to follow their heart or let others forever tear them apart.

We can’t live fearing each other due out differences, but instead, we should celebrate our differences and enjoy the variety of those around us. We each add spice and joy to the other’s life. After all, just imagine how boring our world would be if we all looked the same?!

All I can say is : "WoW" !! Bethany Shaw continues to up the action and danger for Eden and Xander !! After finding out Eden is only half wolf, Xander parents become just as big a threat to their love as the Hunter's !! On the run and intermittently caught by the Hunter's, Eden and Xander decide their love is more important than safety at Sanctuary. The council wants Xander mated to a full she - Wolf , and Eden dead , so they do the best they can and try to free the others . At night, after all the days running and fighting is over, they give in to the call of their souls, their voices clamouring to be heard; mate, love, mate, love ; and they give into fate and become one. Now they must fight harder than ever to stay alive and make Sanctuary a true place of safety for everyone !! Not just full blooded wolves !! Great characters in Eden, Xander, Cullum, Sophie and Tess. Hard biting, edge of your seat action, that makes you wish you were there. 5☆'s. I recommend this book to anyone who likes paranormal romance. I received a gifted copy in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

Review for OFF LIMITS by Bethany Shaw
I received this as a gift for an honest review
I have found Bethany Shaw’s stories to be both engaging and nail biting good. Love her style and storylines.
What starts out as a quiet day of watching movies, ends up as a kidnapping for Xander and Eden. Xander is a wolf shifter and Eden is part shifter, part human and unable to shift. That makes her on outsider in both worlds. It also means she needs to be protected from the shifters who do not want a half breed around. When it becomes clear the kidnappers are hunters, their sworn enemies, and that the plot was setup by one of Xander’s friends, he knows this is not good. They are drugged and taken to a hunter medical compound, where it becomes clear they are to be used for experiments. When they are separated because Eden needs treatment for her gunshot wound, Xander is frantic. He has long been attracted to Eden, more than just normal attraction actually. He would lay down his life to protect her from all who would harm her. When another shifter is brought to the cells for holding, it turns out to be a bear shifter from Sanctuary, where Xander and Callum, the bear shifter, both live. Callum tells Xander to search his heart for Eden because they are mates. Xander has always had the feeling that was the case, but has always been reluctant to admit it or act on it because of the danger to Eden. Not everyone at Sanctuary is forward thinking and does not want mixing of the breeds or humans. The threat to Eden is very real. While been treated, Eden meets Sophie, a doctor it seems to cares for her injuries. Eden soon learns Sophie is a prisoner too. When Sophie steps in to help them, at great risk to herself, Eden vows to help her escape too. The escape does not go as planned and Sophie and Callum are left behind. The next events are horrible to comprehend. Xander contacts his mother, who sends a team to bring them back…supposedly. What really happens is an attack on Eden, with the intent to kill her, on his mother’s orders. They escape that attack only to be followed by hunters who are intent on retrieving them. Escaping once again, with the help of another unknown shifter, Xander and Sophie make the decision to go back for Callum and Sophie. They don’t find either of them, but they do find a baby and two teenage werecats, who help them kill the hunters and with the escape. The only reasonable thing is to take the three children to Sanctuary, where they are once again attacked, until rescue comes in the form of Patrice, Eden’s stepmother. Momentarily safe, it is arranged that Xander and Eden will meet up with her half brother, Nate, and his mate Tess. That is where the next story picks up….the rescue of Callum and Sophie. I cannot wait.

When Ms. Shaw decided to write this book I think she wanted to make sure she wrote about Betrayal, Prejudice, Fear, Hate, Rage and of course Love.
Eden was a half human and half wolf and that was what was wrong, she could not shift so Eden was shunned and ignored there noses so far up, Eden was used to this kind of life. And for that the Wolves of Sanctuary a safe haven for all shifter to live in peace and safe from hunters.
Of course it didn't hurt Eden was totally in love with Xander who was a full blooded wolf, who happened to be her best friend.
It was getting harder and harder for Xander keeping his hand off Eden and just protect her, but who was going to protect her from him. When Eden and Xander were captured by the hunters they shot Eden in the back, their was so much blood, they took her away for the doctor to take care of her and threw him into a cell. While worrying and pacing minutes turned to hour which turned into days, then weeks was she still alive?

Ms. Bethany really out does herself with every new book she does I mean I thought one was good two was excellent and three omg fantastic. It's more than anything with all these last few books you know Sanctuary was for everyone, every species was allowed in but they were all still prejudiced. Each shifter had to stay with your own bloodline, it's own species. Each had to be made it by the first full moon of their 25th birthday just so they can procreate. If the didn't the council of elders wrath began.

Action packed, it will keep you glued to the pages wondering how Eden & Xander will survive. Will prejudice prevale? They will get help from the most unexpected sources. Your left rooting for Xander & Eden to catch a break and the bad guys to get what's coming to them. There's a great lead in to the next book too. Great read. No! It can't be over already! I loved Bethany Shaw's The Best Mistake and I truly think this one topped that. This is the second book I have read by Shaw and so far they have been delightful to read. I only wish I would've known about her sooner! I'm definitely going to reading the first two books in this series now. I'm bummed I didn't get to read them before reading this one, but I wanted to be sure I reviewed this book asap. I completely understood this book as a stand-alone, but I think there is just going to be that much more I understand once I've read the first two. I just might have to read this one again when I'm finished with those. I'll see it through new eyes and I won't have this horrible sinking feeling when Xander and Eden decide to go back. Seriously, it was awful, but part of that could also be the timing. I needed to get to sleep for work in the morning, but didn't want to leave myself with such suspense but also didn't know how much longer I'd need to read to be assured of their safety out of the building. Since then I have looked at continuing with equal parts apprehension and excitement. I knew it would end well, but I didn't want to have to see them get caught, have awful things done to them (because now they're actually a mated pair and all), and for them to have to escape again. I was thrilled that they were made it out without being horribly scathed, but it was still so awful to have to go in there again. Having to observe all of the unfortunate shifters that were beyond help (again) was awful. The fact that they got out with the teens definitely didn't such though. I was happy about that. I found myself strongly connecting to the characters without really realizing it (until now, honestly). Looking back, I was completely roped in, making the journey with Xander and Eden, feeling their pain, anger, joy, love, sadness, and so many other emotions (but to a far lesser extent than I imagine the actual characters were feeling; it's not like I> was being tortured by Hunters or fighting for my life against, well, darn near everybody or having various devices cut out of my arms without (or even with) anesthesia). I would recommend this book to anybody looking for romance, action, and/or a mild dose of non-human. I love the book and I hope you do too. :)

In the world of shifters you often read about how half breeds are not accepted amongst either race. In this book the non-accepted are so rejected that some full bloods want them dead. Eden Is a half bread. Her mother was human and her father was werewolf. She has had a very hard curl life. She finds herself in love with her best friend Xander. Off Limits by author Bethany Shaw is a fast paced but steamy read. I found myself really loving Eden our Halfling. Everyone in her life has told her being half shifter, and half human makes her weak, but she is anything but weak. She is a strong independent woman with a mind of her own. She tries twice as hard to prove she is just as good as any shifter out there. I liked her spirit. She is a loyal loving friend you would want on your side in a fight.
Xander he is a strong male. He follows his heart, and is willing to go against traditions. He doesn’t care Eden is a Halfling. She is his mate and that is all that matters to him. He has a loyal heart and dominating nature.
Over all this is a really good book. I have not read the previous ones in the A Hunted series, but I was not lost in this book at all. I love that. I would like to go back and see what I missed now that I love this book so much. If you like shifters, true love, and a great storyline this is the book to pick up.

I was given a arc copy for my honest review
When I started this book I was expecting it to be about wolf shifters only but was I wrong. Bethany Shaw brings us into world the world of the shifters where it wasn't just wolf shifters she had bear shifters, panther shifters and their world is not perfect and for one half shifter who could not shift Eden is her name, it seems like everyone hated her and was against her for what she was. There was so much going on in this book and I just loved it. It was fast pace lots of action there was no rest for Eden and Xander a wolf shifter as they had hunters coming for them and even people from their own pack, Xander's mother and some other wolves wanted to stop them from coming together and mat. Well the whole time hunters want them for experiments will Eden and Xander survive all this keep each other safe will they stop fighting the feelings they have for each other and can they protect the ones that they care for around them?

Now that Xander has come to the realization the Eden is his Mate, he swears no harm will come to her..Now he realizes how evil and archaic his mother is, she does things he never thought she would do. He doesn't care if he never goes back to Sanctuary, his only concern is keeping Eden safe, even from his mother. He doesn't care if his mother says she's off limits for him, she is his!
Eden never thought she'd be running so much, or that she would be fighting next to Xander, he has a lot to answer for, but she can't deny her love for him. Now not only do they have his mother as their enemy, but the Hunters just won't stop chasing them. But what do they want with them and what kind of nefarious things are they doing to shifters?
Lots of action and suspense in this book of the series. Can't wait for the next.

The Hunters are a danger to all packs and weres so Xavier is there to protect her in case they come since she doesn't live Sanctuary.

I was give a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review .Off Limits was a fantastic read with tons of action and danger .Eden and Zander are very attracted to one another but there are a few things holding Zander back from acting on his feelings one Eden is the younger sister of one of his best friends and two shes only half shifter .Things get intense when Hunters target them, some of their own are out to get them and secrets are revealed .While on the run they realize exactly what they are to one another and wont let anyone stand in their way .I really enjoyed reading this story it was fast paced and kept me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen next .I highly recommend this book to other paranormal readers out there looking for an exciting and passionate read .

This is an amazing Romance with lots of suspense and action!. Xander,Eden, and Callum are captued by hunters. What is worse they had the help of a traitor in Xanders pack. Xander knows Eden is suppose to be his fated mate but his has fought the mating call. As his family forbid him to mate with her because she is a half breed who can not shift. Xander and Eden escape the hunters but had to leave Callum behind. Xander contacts his family for help this was a big mistake!. Now they are on the run from both hunters and Xanders family. After reading the Sanctuary I couldn't wait to read this book since it features Eden, the sister to our H in the first book, and Xander the H BBF. Xander loved Eden but he knew that she could never be his mate since she was a halfling. Eden has loved Xander forever but knows that they can't be together so she tries to be his friend. When the two are kidnapped by the Hunters they must rely on each other to survive. The two learn that they are mates and that the Hunters are not the only people who want them. This is a standalone and HEA but with a continuing storyline. Can't wait for the next book coming out in September.

Eden loves Xander but knows he will have to pick a different mate because she is only half shifter. His parents have very strong ideas about who he should be with and don't even believe humans and ones like Eden should be around them. When Eden and Xander are attacked, other things takes precedence over the wishes of others. If they want to be together, they have to escape and survive those who don't want them to be mated. I have enjoyed the books in the series. The couples have to really fight to be together and the story continues for them as they try to make changes that embrace others into the community. Really good! Wow my first reading a book by Bethany Shaw. I'm impressed. It's in depth, great storyline and characters with lots of twist and surprises.
It only seemed a little pushed/tossed into the story at the beginning for me because I didn't read the other two book lol. Still I found it to be easy to follow and fun. It also covered "their" story enough for me to consider it a stand alone type of book with the wild cliffhangers some books have but it left room at the end for the author to catch your attention for the next book and I so wait to read that one too lol

This one keeps you on the edge of your seat. Twists and turns aplenty in this one. Half breed Eden and wolf shifter Xander have adventure on their hands. The Hunters are hot on their trail and get the best of them, but can you hold these two down? They learn shocking news on what the Hunters are doing. With their lives on the line can Eden and Xander help and survive when all odds are against them. With everything going on can they ignore the sparks flying. Will they give into the call of love? Things are are heating up in this series. At the the end we are left with questions about Xander and Eden's friends.

Xander and Eden are well developed characters and the story line is definitely intense. This book had lots of twists and turns and will keep your interest throughout the story. There is plenty of action, suspense, surprises along with some hot and steamy action. Xander and Eden are in being held in a hunter compound and have their hands full trying to get free and stay safe. They definitely have lots of obstacles thrown at them. Will they finally acknowledge their feelings for each other or will they let the hunters and the people in Santuary tear them apart. I really enjoyed this story and can't wait to see where the author takes us on the next journey.

this is a great book. From Sanctuary, a haven for pure blood shifters, to a run for their lives across North America, Xander tries to keep his love safe. But they are trapped by Human Hunters, and betrayed by his family and pack because he is pure blood and she is the half sister of his best friend who will never be accepted as she is half human and cannot shift. Experimented on and tortured by the hunters, they have to escape, and do not know who to trust. This is an exciting, scary story with great characters. It is fast paced and a substantial read. I couldn't put it down

Off Limits is what Eden (a halfling) is to Xander. They both are facing danger because of their feelings for each other. Xander has to overcome all he has been taught about the way he is supposed to feel towards halflings and face the reality that Eden is the one for him. After being kidnapped and threatened with having experiments performed on both of them, they face threats of death from his parents.
This book keep me enthralled from the beginning to the end! I will highly recommend this book to others.

I cannot hate any book that comes from Bethany. It isn't possible not to love what she writes. Believe me when I say it since I've read most of her work so far.
This book had me clinging to the words from the beginning and I couldn't wait to get to the next part until I finally got to the end. Then I wanted to keep reading it from the beginning.
A beautiful, and action filled story that I personally think is one of my very favorite. I loved Xander. He was so damn fine and amazing. And stubborn. But he's a man so....anyway, an awesome story by an awesome writer.

This story is a thrill ride from beginning to end. There is danger, intrigue, betrayal and a whole lot more. If you are looking for thrills and chills, you have the right book! Eden is only half wolf. She can't even shift. Xander is a full blooded wolf who is expected to select a mate by his birthday. The problem is that he wants Eden. Since that can't happen, he vows to protect her from those who would do her harm. When all hell breaks loose, they are not going to know who to trust. Xander is pure bred wolf, but Eden is a halfling..Off limits to Xander..They are kidnapped together and must fight to escape and survive...Things quickly begin to get complicated as their feelings for each other begin to show through..

I received this book from the Author for an honest review. this book is the next one in the series and follows Eden and Xander. they are kidnapped. Eden has had surgery. they are being pursued by hunters. they rescue three children and are attacked when they bring them to Sanctuary. she finally talks to her dad and step mother. they go to rescue their friends and meet up with her brother and his mate. what will they find when they catch up with their friends we have to wait for the next story.

I have not read the first 2 books in this series, however I will now, the book is a great read, fast paced and full of danger, betrayal and romance. you will fall in love with Xander and Eden. They are fated mates but are kept a part because of old prejudices.Eden isn't a full blooded werewolf. Read and enjoy !!
