This is a mafia, forced married age gap romance.
Kira has been forced to marry Paolo but gets left at the alter. Dominico his dad steps in to take his place.
There is plenty of spice through this book with a touch of mafia.
I did find it a bit slow towards the end. And wpuld have like something a bit more from the epilogue.
Oberall its a quick read.

Because obviously I was going to read this. I have standards, you know. They’re just… very specific standards.

And yes, Marrying the Mafia Daddy delivered the deliciously dark, spicy goodness I was expecting.

Domenico DeLuca is ruthless, dangerous, possessive and absolutely gives do not touch what’s mine energy.

But honestly?

This book surprised me.

Because underneath the Mafia, the age gap, the possessiveness and the “well, this marriage took an interesting turn” situation, there was so much heart.

These characters are carrying grief, hurt and baggage, and I really loved watching them challenge each other and slowly find a way towards healing.

The grief especially was handled with care, rather than simply being used as emotional wallpaper, and that really worked for me.

And the church element?

I actually really appreciated how it was woven into the story. It found its place without judgement or preaching, and added another layer to the characters and their healing.

So yes…

I came for the Mafia Daddy.

I stayed for the possessive MMC.

I enjoyed the spice.

I questioned my life choices several times.

But somewhere along the way…

this book took my little dark heart and turned it slightly pink. 🩷

And frankly, I wasn’t expecting that emotional ambush.

If you like your romance dark, spicy, possessive and unexpectedly heartfelt, add this one to your TBR.

Now excuse me while I reconsider my apparently very specific attraction to fictional Mafia men.

This book has everything you'd want in a mafia, forced marriage romance novel plus some. The anticipation and build up, not just the steamy parts but the underlying plot of betrayal, lies and secrets is perfectly balanced with the characters learning about themselves and each other. B. Lybaek has a way of writing that draws you in and leaves you begging for more. Domenico's patience for Kira and his unwavering support was swoon worthy and he is going to live rent free in my mind for a long while. Kira's innocence was heartwarming and her emotional growth was captivating. As always B. Lybaek was able to draw emotions out of me with her writing, allowing me to connect with and sympathise for the characters heartbreak. This was not your ordinary mafia romance and I highly recommend Domenico and Kira's story.

After being blackmailed by her father to allow herself to be bought in order to save her mother's life, AND after being left at the altar by her intended husband, Kira ends up marrying her (now) ex-fiance's father. But maybe that's the best thing that could've happened to her. Daddy Domenico may appear to be the domineering, take no prisoners, Don of the Mafia but he's a big softy when it comes to Kira. I loved Kira's heart. Her strength to do whatever was necessary to save her mom. And Domenico was EVERYTHING! Stone-cold Mafia boss with his enemies and those who cross him or those he cares for, but heartwarming, caretaking, teddy-bear with Kira. I loved the full circle story line, the suspected twists and turns aren't always what they seem. The whole story had me on the edge of my seat. Excellent story!

I really enjoyed Kira and Domenico's story.
The tropes definitely grabbed my attention, but the plot itself had me all in.

This book had a bit of drama, danger, betrayal, and some twists.
What I didn't expect was all the emotions. It wasn't a bad thing either. While there was sadness and loss, we also got growth and healing too.
Yes, Domenico was a boss. He had the protective and possessive parts down. However, he also helped Kira and cared for her. He was so good to her. Kira herself showed so much growth. She became more confident and stronger.
The chemistry and spice between them was perfect.

OMG!! I loved this!! It's Kira & Domenico's story & it was awesome!! They have an unconventional beginning & she has preconceived notions about him; therefore, it makes her fearful. But the chemistry between them is electric!! There's a lot going on here, secrets come to light & betrayals are found. I loved this story!! It was amazing the way he took care of her & I loved seeing her become so strong. They have a lot of upheavals & overcome them all! The spice was absolutely fantastic!! Highly recommend this book & author!

I was absolutely hooked from the very beginning. After the groom left her standing at the alter the grooms father the Don Domenico AKA Daddy without hesitation changed plans and became the groom himself. She was much younger than him and not experienced and I loved that the relationship didn’t just go straight to spice from nothing and we instead got slow burn, angst and they both learnt to trust themselves and their relationship grew more organically and they leaned on each other. He was her protector is all senses. If you love the Age Gap trope and Mafia then you will love this book.

This was an interesting mafia romance! First we love hero Domenico. He may be intimidating and deadly but he genuinely cares about Kira. He allows himself to soften for her when she needs that while at other times being firm and pushing her to be vocal. Kira is a survivor who is trying to survive her dad selling her and an unexpected marriage to a man who was not her intended. I liked the underlying plot with a bit of mystery and danger. It held my attention!
