For 4 years, Lila Moore has lusted after barbershop owner Manny Perez, longing for the day when he’d give in to his desires and give her the best sex she believes she deserves. From the first day they met, their sexual attraction to one another has been magnetic.
As Kuts Kings first and only female barber, Lila has to hold her own and be one of the guys to fit in. But she worries her down-to-earth personality may be what’s keeping Manny from finally making the first move.
But that’s not the only thing keeping them apart.
On Lila’s first day working at Kuts Kings, Manny quickly established a “no fraternizing” rule that prohibited any sexual relationships from happening between the barbers and Lila, including himself. Instead of this ending any attraction Lila had for Manny, those two little words only intensified her feelings for him. She also suspected the rule was more for Manny than anyone else, and she might be right.
But this doesn’t stop her from trying to get Manny to break his own rule. Her consistency will pay off but not without a bump in the road.
To her surprise, Lila discovers Manny hasn’t been completely honest with her and has been keeping a little secret. But there’s no turning back. Both Lila and Manny will have to decide if they should honor the rule or take their work relationship to another level.

Good short story
This book was a good short story, Lila and Manny had chemistry from beginning to end. Ashley was doing too much! She was trying to claim a man that clearly wasn't hers to claim. I look forward to reading part 2.

All I can say is this book was a page turner from the beginning to the end. Lila was a woman who knew what she wanted and what she wanted was Manny. Manny was the owner of the barber shop that Lila worked at and he put in place a "No Franternizing rule". Lila wanted Manny from day one and flirted many times hoping he would give in, and he finally did. The only problem was he had this little thing he didnt tell her about. Lila and Manny were caught and now I have to see what happens next. This was my first book by this author and will not be my last!!! If you haven't read a book by Brookelyn Mosley, you should!!!!

loved it
This was such a fun and messy ride in the best way. The drama, the tension, and the spice had me hooked from the start. I loved how unpredictable things were and how the story kept me entertained the entire time. I’m definitely starting book 2 right away because that ending was wild.

This book was a rollercoaster for me. I didn’t like how many lead her on and then backed out. That hot and cold stuff just isn’t right just be real with the person. Great story though.

Good short story. Lila wanted Manny in the worse way. I thought he did his best sticking to the rules. Not sure if the choice he made was a smart one--will find out in part 2

Lila wanting Manny, Manny setting a “no fraternizing” rule, and both clearly struggling to stick to it is the kind of messy setup I enjoy. Manny had my girl waiting four whole years, which is absolutely insane, but whew… that ending had me shook. Definitely the kind of novella that leaves you ready for part two.

Great Story of Manny and Lia. Lia is a barber who has the hots for the owner of the shop. Story deals with her ups and downs. Lia is hocked to Manny has a girlfriend he has kept secret. What will she do? Stay and deal with the situation ? Or will she stay and accept he lied to her or try to wind him as her own?
