When Malinda Rose accepted a job as a live in nanny at a plush mansion in Manhattan it sounded easy. Room, board and a nice paycheck, however she had no idea what she was letting herself in for..
The owner of the mansion is reclusive billionaire Garrett Millieur. A man who surprises her with his youthful good looks and attractively authoritative nature.
Amongst other things, he makes an odd request, that his son Brandon must NEVER leave the mansion. EVER.
It is clear to Malinda that the stunning Garrett has many secrets and as she gets closer to him, it seems she is going to find out everything she ever wanted to know about his dark and furry side.
And she might just like what she finds...
This is a stunning paranormal billionaire romance filled with mystery, secrets, adventure alongside lots of hot mating. An absolute must read for anyone who enjoys shifter romances with a billionaire twist!
WARNING: Contains scenes of an adult nature. Only read if you are 18+
Who accepts an explanation of a dog that likes to climb trees? Dumb.
Also, the heroine wasn't given any parameters of her job. It didn't make sense. Her reactions were immature, including her feelings for the hero. I had zero respect for both of them.
Okay, the world where shifters retain barely any of their human nature is interesting. I liked and disliked that in equal parts.
That's the only thing about reading this book that I could say that was positive. Most of the irritations were already listed in abundance in other reviews so Ill just throw some out there quick like. Then I'm gonna move on and forget I read this book.
1. The h wasn't just stupid, she was a complete idiot. SO ANNOYING. I'm just surprised she had made it that far in life without being killed. By anyone.
2. The H's life. Seriously. WHO THE FUCK would decide "bad guy out there? that's cool, I just keep letting him kill my staff members and never let my son leave my house, there is no other options"... Except for later in the book when he talks about all the other shifters out there and his old friends... who would think to ask any of them for help? Obviously not our incredibly stupid H.
3. How many times did they 'kill' the bad guy without actually checking if he's, you know, dead? Or at least captured? You'd think after dealing with a psycho of this capacity for years, and losing his baby mama, the H would have been a little more on the ball with chopping that dudes head off. It felt like I was reading a Halloween movie, where the bad guy just doesn't die. Because of this the book just draaaaaaaaaged on and on and on. I'm surprised I finished it.
This isn't the worst book I've ever read, but I don't recommend it. To anyone.
What did I just read half of? At first I was enjoying where the book was going, but then I was left a little confused. I wish it was a little more romance and less history lesson.
The book, is actually good, I really don't know the genre to be exact. I assume it's between Paranormal Romance, with a little bit of Erotica too. I'm like Malinda, here because I would've been just like here, I'm curious as heck. If I want to know something I gotta know. That's why I hate when someone say "I gotta tell you something", and never tell me. When she found out he was a wolf , lol like man. That's something I tell you. I do wonder if his son is a wolf or maybe he just want to keep his son away from himself. But, then, I was surprise well, no not really especially when he actually wasn't a wolf but he's actually a bear . I didn't see that one coming.
Summary I from the book:
Lmao, when she gave the cab driver the dollar bill. I thought that was by far the funniest thing I heard of. The books I find and read always end up beginning hilarious in some way. That cab driver, was mad as heck, who wouldn't be after driving you someone somewhere and get no pay. Yeah that one dollar wasn't no pay.
Summary II from the book:
Bruh wtf, hell nah lmao. He was fusing at the rat like omg that was hilarious. I see why he was cursing and scowling LMFAO. It was his best friend (butler) Winslow? I believe. Can't really say, since I'm listening to it on audible. When he turn back onto human form. She said he March pass her pecker swinging in the wind. And that he was scrawny and pitiful sight to see LMFAO.
Part II OF Review:
Raul, is a worse some piece of shit. I was waiting patiently for Garret and Malinda to kill that evil wolf . I believe Raul was just jealous of Garrett and what he had from beginning probably before Garrett even killed his wife. Well actually he didn't kill his wife since she fell off the cliff charging at Garrett.
After, Garret, butler (Winslow) tried to rape Malinda I didnt hear anything else about him since lol. I wonder if he died with the rest of the house mates. Also, poor little Brandon, he been through hell and back, that freaking Raul bothering him. I also, liked how Brandon got call him Young Master Brandon. He wasn't cocky with it at all.
But I do think he (Garrett) should've told his son about what he was instead of hiding it from him and look what happened. And lastly thank God Raul died. I knew it would be Malinda the one who killed him lol.
P. S.
I like how she cared for Brandon as if he's her own.

Malinda just got dumped by her boyfriend and if she wants to stay in the big city she will need a job that pays decently. Just when she had given up and was about to head back to her moms in Oklahoma she reads an ad for a live-in nanny position. She shows up at a McMansion and meets Mr. Millieur and his 10 year old son. Garrett has a rule where young Brandon isn't allowed out of the house due to a wolf-shifter, Raul, who wants to revenge for his mate being killed. With things heating up between Malinda and Garrett it seems there may be more for Raul to take now. I listened to this book on Kindle Unlimited on impulse. Been reading a lot of fantasy books recently and just needed a break. Best way to do that is a good romance novel and I am never one to pass up a shifter book.
I hate to admit it, but I was wrong in this book. I was convinced for the first half of the book that Garrett was a werewolf. But the author is great at manipulation, it seems, and I was surprised. I won't tell you what kind of shifter he is, but I didn't expect it. On an unrelated topic, I have to say this is the first time that I have heard of a rat shifter. Very unique, but I suppose there are shifters of all kinds. I'm just more used to wolves, panthers, jaguars, bears, and the like.
My favorite character in this book was Malinda. Little bit of back and forth, falls for a man she barely knew pretty quickly, and plenty of attitude. A mix of typical for a romance and things I personally enjoy in a main character. This isn't your typical shifter book, however. Other than the less than normal shifters in the book there is the how people became shifters in the first place. I don't have any complaints about this book, but I rarely do on paranormal romances. We do have a sassy woman who has dreams and isn't afraid to go after what she wanted.
This book, was actually really good. Wish I had read it earlier. Worth the read. I liked the story, the title had me thinking that Garrett was a Werewolf, but in the end Raul was the wolf and Garrett was the bear. I kept saying after Malinda was Bitten by Raul, she and Garrett going to end up having half wolves and half bears babies or some could end up as bears and the other half end up as wolves. Hilarious. Lol, I did wonder why Raul just didn't bit Garrett son he kept on taking him from under their nose but he Bitten Malinda trying to take her away from Garrett I knew she wasn't going nowhere no matter if she was turn into a wolf. Her heart already belong to Garrett. They were bonded the first day she came. But I'm. Also, like how in the hell could she be a nanny when she only watch him like 2 times or was it once lol. Smh.

I believe this is the first book from this author that I have read, and I can honestly say I truly enjoyed it. She has taken the paranormal and given it a new twist and then some. When Malinda found herself down to her last dollar, desperate for work, she wonders if she wouldn't be better off returning back to her mothers home out west, leaving the city she loves behind. By chance, she comes across a discarded newspaper at the diner, with the employment adds opened, only to read one that catches her eye. It's not her ideal choice of employment, but at this point, almost anything will do. If only she knew what her new post as Nanny to young Brandon was about to become. Garrett has a secret. A huge secret that only a few select people know about. He also has a young son that needs protection, not only from his secret, but from the evil that lurks outside of his mansion. As soon as he begins the interview with Malinda, he knows he has to hire her. There is something there. A pull of fate that won't let her walk away. The author has written an extremely fast paced, full length novel, that will have you on the edge of your seat until you finish reading it. The suspense, action, pain, gore and heat is almost overwhelming....almost. If you are looking for something new with a huge twist or two, this is definitely a book you will not want to miss. Great read!
An unbelievable story of shifters, lovers and family. A five star rating was an easy choice. There isn't a dull moment in this one. Ms Valentina has created a unique shifter story. This is not your sexy billionaire meets curvy girl and they fall in love. Not at all, oh he's sexy—very hot. She is irresistibly drawn to him and he to her, but there is much going on here.
She stands up to the surly rich man, and he hires her to nanny his ten year old son. Brandon is a smart lively boy who is never allowed outside of his mansion. Malina Doesn't understand and takes him out to the park. Garret is not pleased.
While he cannot tell her why the restriction he makes his point and the truth soon comes out. You will find the evil enemy one of the worst villains ever. He just keeps coming back. The effort to lead a life and deal with his secrets makes life even more difficult.
Malina has always been a positive thinker, however this life is not an easy one but she is attached to both of them.
Read this compelling story to find out how they come to terms with life, their enemy, can love survive. One of the best shifter books I have read. A very strong recommend from me.
Although enjoyable, I felt it was far longer than it needed to be and there were sections that really didn't need to be in the book.
This is a romance between Malinda and Garrett. Malinda is down on her luck and has just decided to return home having failed in living her dream when she sees an advert for a live in nanny to a 10 year old boy. When she turns up for the interview, she discovers that the home address is actually a mansion and despite a rather disdainful British butler sniffing at her, she is given the job. The boy in question is Brandon and his widowed father is Garrett, a very secretive billionaire businessman who doesn't allow his son to leave the grounds.
This book isn't about just werewolves but about shifters of all types. Garrett is a shifter who is at odds with his animal half and he sees the animal in him as a demon. Despite the various types of shifters in this book, the human world doesn't know about their existence so it doesn't make sense when later in the book, 3 shifters are loose on the streets of New York in full view of the human public.
It was an easy book to read even though it does go off on a tangent sometimes but I'm not sure that I would read any other work by this author. Primarily because I thought it was too long winded.
Interesting and entertaining good story with action, a little bit of romance, mystery and suspense.
Different take on the shifter world. Animal spirits bonding with random humans. Didn't really care for this, but it did give the story an unusual and unique story line. The story flowed and kept moving forward. Really liked Malinda's character, even though she did seem a little dense at times. Loved little Brandon. Garrett took a long time to warm up to, but once the rough edges wear off he was a really likable character. I did like the fact that you were never quite sure what shifter Garrett was until farther into the story. If the story had been just a little longer with a little more romance, it would have been great.
Addison Spear's narration was good. Although she has a very pleasant voice and it is easy to listen to, there is not a lot of difference between the male and female voices. I think I would have enjoyed the story more if I had read it instead of listened to it.

The story starts off a little slow. The Male lead, Garrett Millieur, is fighting himself and his nature. The Female, Malinda Rose, lead is a little wishy washy. Garrett needs a nanny, Malinda needs a job. The fact that the nanny position is a live-in arrangement is an added bonus for Malinda. Garrett has one rule, he doesn't want his son to be taken out of the mansion by Malinda, EVER. Of course she has an issue with that and goes against his wishes.
I did get a little annoyed with Malinda for not sticking to her agreement with Garrett. Whether she understand or not, she agreed, therefore she should have followed her agreement with him, especially since Garrett provided a job and a roof over her head.
Despite the "misunderstanding" between Malinda and Garrett overall the story was rather interesting.
The narrator did.. ok with this book.

I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review by author Ellie Valentina.
Garrett Millieur is a billionaire and lives as a recluse. He has secrets and a past that keeps gnawing at him. Melinda Rose is hired as a nanny for Garrett Millieur's son because she made him laugh but when she takes him to Central Park Garrett is furious and demands that his son stay in the house. Now Melinda must learn why Garrett is the way he is and hope her heart does not get in the way.
I liked the story line flow in the book. It was smooth sailing from start to finish. Garrett and Melinda's relationship as boss and nanny is tested more then once and I felt sorry for Garrett because he was hiding from his secret.
This is for any paranormal romance book lover who likes a bit of mystery with their story.
This Paranormal Billionaire story doesn't center on Garrett's money. The author, Ellie, did a great job of creating a story that has twists and turns to include the surprise when Garrett shifted, I didn't have a clue. There are really two stories in one, maybe three if you consider what happened to Malinda. Ellie made the characters complete. You really get to know them. Ellie's take on a shifter was a little different from other authors imaginations. Because it is fantasy, she can write anything she wants. Great suspense, thriller and romance. It has it all. The narrator did a good job of creating individual characters in her voice. This is the first book I have listened to by Ellie Valentina and I know I will be looking for more. I was given this book free for an unbiased review which I have done.

This was an amazing read. From beginning to end, this book was filled with action. The simple fact that Melinda was so feisty made this book awesome. I also like the fact that one never really knew what Garrett was until it was actually revealed. It's awesome when a book can make you think one thing and then turn around in the same breath and prove you wrong. There wasn't a whole lot of sex in this book, but there was tons and tons of romance, loads of action. I really like this been on the shifter genre.
Overall, the story was very well written. Everything flowed smoothly and the narrator was on point as usual. Ms. Addison Spear did it again. I really like listening super narrations of stories. This was my first book by Ellie Valentina, but I did enjoy it.
I like a story that offers surprises and this one definitely did. It started out with a down on her luck woman looking for a job so she can stay in the city and pursue her dream of being on Broadway. She finds an ad and is directed to a huge mansion in the city. Talking back to her perspective boss gets his attention and the job. She really bonds with his son and wants to offer him more of a life but Garrett gets very angry with her when she takes Brandon for an outing. There is a wolf that scares her and she is almost driven away in fear but her concern for Brandon keeps her there. Lots of mysteries surround Garrett and when you think you have it figured out it takes a dramatic turn. I received a copy in return for a honest review.
New author for me & I did find the story line unique as well as interesting. With the main character fighting his nature, adding a bit of a twist The question of how the shifters came to be somewhat explained but left me with more questions... And although the characters were given enough background to support the story, I thought they still needed a bit more. I see potential for more books, with other characters having been introduced, so I will see what else this author has done. I did enjoy reading this book, even though I thought there were some holes in the basic back ground of the story. It seemed as perhaps the 2nd or 3rd of a series - but getting beyond that, the writing was very good, the characters interesting. If it is not a series, maybe it should be!!
I received a free review copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Malinda is out of work and can't find a job so she accepts a job as a nanny for a billionaire. She's having issues with her charge Brandon. Brandon is not allowed to leave the house for any reason and she cannot figure out why. Then people start dying. Not just dying but like they are being mauled by an animal. Garrett is Brandon's father and talks about his beast. He is a werebear but hasn't made peace with what he is. Then the threat attacks Malinda. Then the threat starts aiming at Brandon. You will love how this story plays out. It is really a great story and well written. I don't want to give too much away because then it would ruin the story. Enjoy this book. It is well worth it.
I loved the author's definition on Weres. it was interesting viewing Weres from her aspect. I like her version of them better than most other Were books I've read. I also loved the story she told, a couple finding love because of their love of, "Young Master Brandon", a little boy. But I felt like they feel in love to quick. The whole book happened to quickly. I felt like the author was rushed. I wished for a bit more elaborating details, I got confused a few times when I was listening to certain scenes and trying to picture what was happening. and also what about Milinda's dreams???? I didnt like how she forgot about her dreams all because she feel in love.

I liked this book! The only think I did not like was how the ONE WEREWOLF can kill so many shifters and keep getting in the Mansion. When do you think it was almost done you find that he wasn't dead after all-- -- basically it was a little long. I enjoyed the kid ..... I just didn't understand why they kept him locked up in the house. Good reason though!! The book Me wondering and by the way there's a wererat! Eww
The BillionWere by Ellie Valentina This was FREE on Amazon.com in the kindle store in January 2016. I don't know WHY this book got so many 5 stars ratings. There are lots of books out there in this genre that are way better than this. It needs a good editor, after 5 chapters and 1 sex scene that was meh..., I just could not be bothered to find out what happens next. I gave up. This goes on my DNF shelf. 1 star for Effort.
I couldn't decide weather the heroine was brave, smart, or terminally stupid, but continued to read anyway. The hero blows hot, cold, and round and round. The pace of this book is breakneck, hurtling from argument to sex to battle and back again. Sex scenes aren't detailed, which can be something of a relief, but neither are they sensual. The main characters fall in love and admit it in record time. On the plus side, editing is clean.
Malinda and Garrett make a perfect couple. He is a bear shifter. She is a wolve shifter do to a bite by Raul. Raul is trying to make Garrett pay for killing his mate. Garrett has problem with his inner animal. Malinda went for a interview for a nanny at the house of the billionaire Mr.Millieure. She had to take care for Brandon Garrett's son. She will do anything to protect Brandon.
I found myself thinking "are they serious?! The logic in the characters mind is not in the story. I also found myself trying to find the chemistry that I wanted to be there but I didn't feel that spark. The only reason why this book gets three stars is that I had to keep reading to find out what would happen next but all in all this book really deserves two and a half stars.
Good story with a lot of detail and well written characters. I like her style of writing as well, she gives you enough to build a picture in your mind of the scene. I will be reading her again!
I really enjoyed this book. It was a little different than your regular "shape shifter" books but the author kept me interested a and I finished the book in one day. I didn't want to quit until I reached the end. I would certainly recommend this book.
Garrett had a hard time trusting people. Miranda saw the good in Garrett and that his son was love. Ruan wanted revenge after losing his mate . Had a lot twisted and turned but love wins out
Kindle Unlimited read. No cliffhanger. She needs a job and when she's about to give up finds an add needing a Nanny. He has a secret to hide and a battle to win before his son can be safe.
Wow! Just wow! This was probably the most unique shifter story I've read in a long time. The excitement, thrill, danger, release, tension, fear, and agony was crazy. Then add in the hot mating with passion and a family. Truly awesome!
