Addison Little just got the chance of a lifetime. Her best friend won an all-expenses paid trip to Safari Island and she’s asked Addison to join her. Addison’s always wanted to visit the shifter-run vacation spot but it’s always been out of reach financially. Chet Gallow is one of the best workers on Safari Island. He’s been driving tour buses since the island first opened and he loves his job. I am a sucker for unusual shifters and how cool is a rhino shifter? However, this book was tedious. We didn't get to see a shift until late if at all (I didn't make it that far). The leads were okay if dull and the secondaries were grating. Not good for me.

This is a cute story, fast read and had more than a few issues. I could have used better editing a more story development.

Not Up To Par
I had been looking forward to reading this book after thoroughly enjoying the author's Mail Order Mates series. While I did finish the book I was sadly disappointed. This was unfortunate because the concept of the story is great and is different from a lot of the shifter plots currently offered. The performance of the main characters is juvenile and what little spice there was would have been better left out. The story itself was rushed with some actions inserted awkwardly, possibly in an effort to play to the target audience of readers who prefer adult themed shifter books. Hopefully the next book in the series will be better thought out then this one. Writing a ménage plotted story can be tricky and fall flat with little effort.
I'm not sure if I would recommend this book to others or not. Loyal fans will surely be interested but new readers might not make it through the entire story. I would have to wait to voice an opinion until I read the next in the series.

This is a bare bones tale, but for all the brevity it’s not too bad. Plus, there are shifters on Safari Island I’ve never read about, such as the drool-worthy Chet who is a rhino shifter. He can be ridden in more ways than one. Hubba hubba. Anyway, the characters and world could definitely use more development, but the romance is decently hot and the characters likeable. I received an eARC in exchange for an honest review. This is an amazing start to this new series by Lola Kidd. It is the first rhino shifter book I have ever read and it is the perfect story to start this series off with.
Addison and her friend Lily are off on their first vacation after completing college. Lily won this trip to Safari Island and off they go for a wonderful adventure.
Addison is a beautiful, feisty, curvy woman who is ready for a little fun, but finding a mate while on vacation was definitely not in her plans.
Chet is a strong, sexy, white rhino shifter who his ready, willing and on the lookout for his mate. He is ready to quit his job at Safari Island and go looking for his mate when fate steps in and brings his mate right to the island.
Neither Addison or Chet expected to find love so quickly, but love found them and this is their wonderful story. This book has it all romance, humor, hot hot hot mating and a wonderful HEA.
I highly recommend this book, this author and this series to everyone who loves paranormal romances. I know you will love it as much as I did. Be sure to pick up a copy of this first book in the new series by Lola Kidd, you will be very very glad that you did.

I liked the book. However the love story was rushed/undeveloped and the story needs polishing.

Read in the box set ONCE BITTEN.
Short story with easy answers for things and situations raised.
Okay, this really was on a spin cycle.
We start off with a nice pleasant Lily and a rather unpleasant Addison, then suddenly we get these two friends swapping attitudes.
Lily becomes this judgemental snob and Addison has sex with a virtual stranger who she doesn’t even like, but is then suddenly all, we are mates, yah.
I have grabbed the box set through Kindle Unlimited as I want to read about Lily, Finn and Max.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The book is well written and loads of fun. The story pulls you in with it's light-hearted, sweet, funny, romantic tone. I loved the characters. They are sexy, humorous, spunky and has great chemistry together. It's a wonderful story. You should get the book.

GREAT LITTLE ROMANCE!
This is a short book, well edited and an easy read. This would be a great vacation book. Read it on the plane, at the beach or curl up before going off to dream about your dream shifter.
This is purely romance. My only complaint is that it is too short, no buildup for characters or details to make it a great book. It doesn't really go into enough detail to endear characters or make a mystery about intruders. This book could easily have been a couple more hundred pages. The theme is a new setting with unusual shifters that would be all the better with more development.
It is a good paranormal romance. Anyone who likes paranormal romance will certainly enjoy and be entertained by this book. I recommend it for all adult readers 18 and older. I am going to read the next shifter romance "Two Crocs". More reviews to come.

Addison Little was excited that her roommate, Lily, won an expense paid contest to Safari Island. They can't wait to start enjoying the view, especially all the hot shifter guys around them. Chet Gallow works at Safari Island but he is looking to settle down with his mate and start a family. He is ready to leave the island until he sees the curvy goddess Addison. Can he convince her that she is his mate or will he loose her before he even gets started.
This book has a great story line and wonderful characters for any reader to enjoy. The author gave the characters very good interaction.
This is for any paranormal romance book lover.

What a fun start to the new series! It is nice to see other types of shifters getting a chance at a story. Chet is reaching the point where the fun of a quick hookup is over and he wants to find a mate. Addison has worked hard to finish her college degree and is trilled to get an all-expense paid trip with her friend to this new island staffed primarily by shifters. It is a fun concept and open to a lot more stories. Addison isn't one to pretend and she and Chet don't get off to the best start. He had to work for it.It is a fun, quick read and I look forward to the other upcoming stories. The next one features her best friend. I received a copy in return for a honest review.

I absolutely love books that don't feature your typical shifters that authors seem to stick to (dragons, wolves, large cats, and bears).
But this story was just too rushed to like much about it.
The love between the characters didn't feel developed, it was a bit odd that the shifters only know their mate after kissing them rather than by scent, and this Safari Island the author was trying to create for readers didn't come across.
I didn't like how the author attempted to develop the characters. Addison was one of those women I just couldn't stand. She seemed too much of a stuck up but then was madly in love with Chet.
Overall, it was a underdeveloped story.

This is book #1 in the Safari Shifters series. I had read #3 and just had to read #1 to be caught up.
This was a sweet and enjoyable read. Chet wants to find his mate, he's tired of the party scene on Safari Island. He's planning quitting but his friends talk him into one more night at the new bar.

Curvy girl go to Shifter run Island for a vacation that they won. Addison meet Chet and even though the attraction is there, Addison isn't so sure about Chet's full of himself attitude. Chet was just about to leave the job and Island in search of a mate when Addison shows up. He's determined to win her over to his way of thinking. Well written and fun story to read.

I got this book in exchange of an honest review, as always I love all of Lola work and there are a few I so want to read, this was an awesome book as usual, who does not love a shifter? I mean they are so hot sexy amazing wonderful viral men I have never read rhino shifter book but this one was cool, besides a curvy woman and a rhino shifter what better combo can there be for my first ever? this book had some nice funny moments as well as steamy charming ones. For those who are or are not a fan of Lola books you better start reading her series and this one is hot as the others.

Move over Olivia (L&K BRIDES)
I so loved this first book in this new series. I was sad to see when lovely and kind brides series ended but Ms. Kidd as done it again with this new series. I cannot wait to read the next book. Chet was so sure of himself when he told Addison loved him and by the end of the year they were going to be married. She thought he was too sure of himself. She didn't realize he was his true mate. I'm not going to give the story away. It is a funny fast pace book and you will not be disappointed.

Loving this first book in the Lola's new series. A vacation Safari island run by shifters such a cool concept. Addison can't stand Chet when she first meets him at the hot bar on the island. She hates all the male posturing but fate steps in and the brass egotisitical Chet starts to worm his way into her heart. It was a fun twist on the usual shifter story.

I really enjoy this start to this promising series. I love that it is a new take on the shifter romance genre, we see bears and lions a lot in these stories. It is exciting to read something where there are some other shifting possibilities.
My only complaint is that being a novella it's short which is nice and makes it a quick read but I sometimes wish it were longer so I could have more. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

Just a sweet sweet story, lots of build up for the series to keep you interested in the 'rest of the story' some information I am sure is needed for the mesh into the series, but left you wondering the importance of it to these star struck lovers. This is a AFN ending... continues in the next story settings. I will read the next in series and see what was all about those unwanted visitors on the island.(dangling plots are sometimes frustrating)

A great, quick read!
I really enjoyed this novella. It was just the perfect length to get involved in Addison & Chet's romance without it dragging on and being over the top. The love scenes were hot without taking over the whole story. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book!

this book was fun to read. we meet to best friends who win a all expense paid for vacation to Shifter Island. when they get their the girls meet some hunky men. Addison has quick dislike to Chet. will he get past her dislike? will he realize she is his mate? will they get the relationship to work? will she take on the job?
