This is the best self help book I've ever read. I think it might be the only one I'll ever need to read. It gives SPECIFIC EXERCISES for reshaping your reality and gives elegantly articulated answers to all your most existential questions without ever aligning with a particular belief system. Self help is always so vague and mostly waffles on about the author's perception of reality and how they think life is. It is purely spiritual, but is written by an English guy who knows how the western mind thinks. It is well structured, easy to follow and is beautifully written. I definitely need to read it again. I haven't had a chance to really sit down and try the 22x11 yet (but I am looking forward to the opportunity), and I have done a very basic draft of the lifewrite. Writing a story about what I want my life to look like seemed stupidly simple at first, but once I started I realised how much I didn't know. Sure, I know I want a home, friends, a cool job and a romantic partner, but where do I want to live? In what style would I like to work? What type of person do I want to fall in love with and how would I like to meet him? Silly little things, but things it would probably be good to have an answer for.
It's out of print, but this book will be worth every penny you spend tracking down a second hand copy; a genuine life-changer.
I met the author when I was nineteen and it remains one of the most positive experiences of my life. Get a copy and embark on the future you've always dreamed of.
Like all these types of books, the intentions are good and there are a few nuggets of useful actions, but sadly, too many throw away lines that are not backed up or supported by others material. Take everything in this book, as you would from a guy telling you a verbal story. Without references or confirmation what is being said is based on known past events.
