Very short shifter romance. A good read if you are looking for a quick escape. It would be great if it was longer.
She is determined not to give up her life for a mate. Now she's found him she doesn't want him. He wants her but he has to tread carefully to keep her.

Another lovely romance by this author. I like that each book is just that little bit different. Ciara and Ryan are great together.

I liked this book. Another one of Taylor’s brother the Rancher Ryan has found his mate. I liked the connection between Ciara and Ryan and thought that it was really cool of Ryan to take Ciara’s fears about mating a find a way to make things worse. Ciara left her herd as she alway assumed that her dad made her mum give up her job when they had kids so she didn’t want a mate if she was going to be basically turned into a brood mare. The reason Ciara thought this is her mum always spoke to her about her job before she had her children and she always seemed sad while discussing this but really if only Ciara had just spoken to her mum about it she would’ve known that the reason her mum felt sad is because all her babies had grown up and left the nest so she didn’t feel needed anymore after being a stay at home mum. The reason her mum spoke to her kids about the importance of getting a job is because she didn’t want them to just wait around for their mate to come along as it may never happen, so at least they’d have something to keep them busy and happy until Fate decided when it was the right time to meet their mates. Maybe the reason Ciara had never directly asked her mum is because Fate was not only pulling her towards Bear Bluff for her work as a Veterinarian but towards her mate Ryan. I wish this book would’ve been slightly longer and shown Ciara going to dinner at Ryan’s parents house so she could meet everyone. I’m looking forward to reading Chloe and Nate’s book next. I’d recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.

Ryan & Ciera
This is a short and sweet story with no dramas or misunderstandings. Ryan is a bear shifter and animal lover. He has a ranch and and animals that he has rescued. When his pregnant mare looks unwell he phones the vet to come over and take a look. The last thing he was expecting was to come face to face with his fated mate. Ciera is a horse shifter ( this is the first time I came across one ) and a vet. She is a very independent career woman and she didn't want to met her fated mate. So when she canes face to face with her fated mate she runs. The story flowed very well with tender moments. Highly recommended

I read this book as part of the Bear Creek and a Bear Bluff complete box set. This was an interesting story of misperception. Ciara never actually spoke to her mother, but assumed how her mother felt. This assumption clouded the lens through which she lived her life. Meeting Ryan, her mate, helped bring a lot into clarity.

Ryan and Ciara, she's a vet, proud of her trade and not wanting to be a "broodmare" has decided to move far away from her family and set up an office in the Bear Bluff area. Ryan is an older shifter who has almost given up hope of his mate ever showing up when the vet he calls for an ailing horse turns out to be his long awaited mate. But she is having none of it.

This is my favourite in the series.
Yes Ciara had issues to sort out but she pulled up her big girl panties, and admitted when she was wrong (while also avoiding hurting her mums feelings)

Ciara is smart, independent, and determined to forge her own future, but fate has other plans. Ryan is patient and respectful, giving their relationship a lovely, gentle pace. Their dynamic is a nice spin on the “reluctant mate” trope, showing how love can bloom even when one person is dragging their heels.

Ok...I have to be honest...at first I didnt really care for Ciara's character. I thought her a bit judgmental when it came to Ryan whose a total sweetheart. Instead of talking to him and letting him in on her concerns and feelings she just tries to deny him and run away which made her look like a brat. As sweet and nice as he was I guess I just didnt get why she wouldnt at least talk to him and give him the benefit of the doubt. Its not even until later AFTER she calls her mom because its really stems about her mom and thinking her mom had her right to a career taken away from her. It was NOT true...just what Ciara thought for some reason. So, basically Ryan was judged on something that was solely on Ciara and what she thought her mom went through. Miscommunication and misunderstandings basically and the poor guy was caught in the crossfire. I didnt start to like her until about 2/3 through the book. Anyways, thought it was cool that shes a horse shifter. Thats unique! I ended up liking the story by the end of it.

Decent read. Good spelling and grammar. My issue with this book was that there were a lot of intense emotional scene crammed into a novella. There was no build up, so I couldn't get a good feel of the emotions, or for the characters. I understood what the author was trying to convey, but it was done poorly and I think the length of the story is to blame.
It was ok, but it fell really short of being good because the emotion- all supposed to be incredibly intense- was unbelievable without any build up to it.

Surprised Me!
Great book except how fast they are to have sex! The heroine has a different animal than a bear. I enjoyed hero though he didn't have to do anything to be a hero . Maybe I should say two main characters versus hero/Heroine. Was a good book but it needed to be more detail. I definitely miss The introduction of the brothers as they did in the last book at the family house. That would've been nice and of course it needed a epilogue !! It is a novella standalone.

Sweet, short, lovely, romantic shifter story !! Ciara, Veterinarian, and Ryan, rancher, have met when she comes to treat his horse. His inner "bear" is shouting with joy, and her inner "horse" knows immediately, she's is Ryan's mate. This charming love story has it all, deep characters, hot sex, and a story you can't put down. No angst or evil to ruin their romance. Just a wonderful tale of shifter true mates finding one another, when they least expected it. Delightful. ENJOY !!!

Kindle Unlimited read. Standalone without any cliffhanger. She's running from a future she doesn't want. When she goes to check on a sick horse, she finds her future anyway. Love these books but found this one a little harder to stay focused on. Was good though the alpha man was a little timid compared to most.

3.5 stars A cute short story that I really enjoyed.
Liked that there was really no other people involved and it just flowed nicely.
Could understand Ciana’s thoughts and was glad she spoke to her mother about what she believed to be true. Not too much angst or silliness.
Ryan is another of the 6 brothers and like the others is a real sweetie.
