Betrayed by his peers and slandered as a traitor, Commander Thierry Donovan has nothing left. Locked away and targeted by the very men responsible for his incarceration, Thierry defies the odds and fights for the fundamental right to survive the hell-hole of his imprisonment. With no one to trust, Thierry finds solace in the last place he imagines...

The church is Ryan Flynn's sanctuary. He craves the solitude and peace he finds in the hallowed halls. His oath to serve God is a calling Ryan has hidden behind all of his adult life; until his past catches up with him in the form of his foster brother, Special Agent Orrin Hunt...

Submerging himself within a world of danger, violence and corruption is the only way Orrin can cope with life. Rejected and tormented by the bitter remorse of unrequited love, Orrin is oblivious to the beauty of what life can offer him. If he'd only open his eyes, and maybe his heart....

Jaydan Callahan's life is a wreck. Gangs, drugs and violence are a part of his normal day to day routine. For one so young, he's seen it, been there, done it and gotten more than enough tee shirts as proof. Capable of smelling a cop from a mile away, it comes as no surprise to Jay when the guy he has the hots for is actually working under cover to bring down the town's notoriously dangerous king pin.

Four men, four lives, each one of them stained by lies, corruption and doubt. Can love show them the path to redemption, or will broken oaths, fear and grief make the crosses they bear too heavy a mantle to carry.

Aspiring writer and mother of two, i enjoy nothing more than losing myself to the rather mad cap workings of my imagination.

Blessed with some of the dearest friends, I have to admit that its through their guidance and perseverance that I am able to write what I feel and enjoy.

An avid book reader and a lover of long dark winter nights tucked up with a rather fruity glass of red and my partner in crime J T Cheyanne, we aspire to conquer the world with our love of Vampire's, angel's and wolves alike. As well as some mighty fine Gods and a deluge of hot Gay romance.

ABSOLUTE INCREDIBLE LOVE STORY!! A MUST READ!!!

Thank you, V.L. Moon and J.T. Cheyanne for another outstanding, absolutely, amazing love story. You gave us two love stories for the price of one. JACKPOT!! At first, we get the strange relationship between Father Ryan and Agent Orrin. Their part of the story, in the beginning is complex and heartbreaking. Both men are abandoned, confused and severely damaged by life when they were young. These characters were written with such depth, that you fall in love with both of them and feel all of their emotions. Father Ryan Flynn is a very sexy, interesting, daring priest. Agent Orrin Hunt, who looks very young for his age, is straight forward, dedicated and has the ability to infiltrate street gangs. Commander Thierry Donovan is strong, sexy and a disgraced Naval Officer, falsely accused and convicted of a crime against the United States. Jaydan Callahan is a dark haired, green eyed, smart mouthed street thug gang leader. All of these men have a destiny to fulfill. They will need all their strength and each other.

This incredibly, captivating story has so many levels of intensity between Thierry and Ryan, with the fact that he is a dedicated priest. Then, Jay is struggling with his feelings of being in love with Orrin, when the only thing he's worried about is saving Thierry and Ryan. Did I forget to mention that the plot is this ingenious plan to take down the crooked Admiral and drug lord that falsely imprisoned Thierry. This story is completely captivating and will keep you glued to your seat. I couldn't put it down. The need to stop these animalistic criminals had me screaming and crying for the good guys. I cheered, I cried, I kicked a chair when the story wasn't going my way, but I loved every minute of it. I savored every emotion, every word and every sentence. This book was REMARKABLE!! The twists and turns of the relationships, plus the twists and turns of trying to keep everyone alive was suspenseful and exciting. 5 STARS is NOT ENOUGH STARS for this book. I just don't know how to describe how GREAT it is. This review doesn't do it justice. V.L. Moon and J.T. Cheyanne are the most dynamic duo of all time. Thank you and congratulations on a terrific novel. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!!! THIS IS A MUST READ!!!!

What's better than forbidden love? A priest who has taken vows of celibacy father Ryan Flynn is a great priest, his hiding something under his dog collar and robes, a fabulous body that has previously craved other men, his faith and dedication keeps all that tapered down.

One unassuming day father Flynn is asked to take a prisoners confession, accepting that little job opens up into a life changing journey for Ryan.

Thierry is a prisoner, his innocent and is incarcerated to cover for others misdoings, when Thierry asks for a priest little does he know the priest would be sex on legs!

So what's better than a one budding relationship in a book? How about two budding relationships in one book! Add in some more sexy and amusing supporting characters, some scary, bad men intent on hurting others to cover there own backs and you get this sexy MM read.

Two relationships developing, but both in serious danger, I had to put my kindle down a couple of times as I was too worried as what fate j c and v l had decided for these hot men!

The writing is amazing and is truly gripping, the storyline will take you on a journey and half.

I'd gladly read anything these authors write, they really have a talent and weave some amazing stories.

***** 5 stars *****

I have read the authors before and was expecting an excellent read, but DAMN! The story was well paced, interesting, sexy, exciting and brought out so many more emotions, it was unbelieveable. I cried, I laughed, I wanted to slap a certain character upside his head more than once (sorry, no spoilers). The love story part was so deliciously satisfying and so very well written, I was in awe.

I know it sounds a little over the top, but until you read it and see for yourself, you will never know! Thanx VL and JT. Much Love.

Original Blog Tour: Blog Tour, eARC Review, Excerpt & #Giveaway: Broken Oaths by V.L. Moon & J.T. Cheyanne

My Rating: 4 of 5 Stars

I usually shy away from books where there are angels or priests involved for the obvious reason I am Catholic and books written about the Church can sometimes mislead or just be filled with false information. That said, I was intrigued by the premise of a priest breaking his vow for the sake of love. Why? Simply put, I've seen this happen thousands of times, maybe more and some involve people I know personally. Some get involved in a heterosexual relationship while others, yes, go the homosexual way. There is one thing common in all of them, though. Once a priest. Always a priest. Whether they decide to leave or to turn their backs on a relationship, their love for God is always there. In the case of Father Ryan Flynn, well, this is an MM romance so you have your answer.

The second reason why I got intrigued with this story is because of Orrin. A foster brother to Ryan when they were younger, he loved the younger man because he was there to give him solace, comfort, support, you name it. Unfortunately, their relationship turned sour when Ryan chose to leave. The years of bitterness and regret ruined Orrin's perspective in life and religion but not his feelings for Ryan. Were the two young men really in love with each other? That is for you to find out.

This story is about Ryan and Orrin and how they moved on in life to find their partners in life amidst a security threat to the country. Ryan is called in to perform the Sacrament of Confession to inmate, former Commander Thierry Donovan. It seems Orrin's influence got Ryan the task. Thierry was key to an NCIS investigation and Ryan may be key to getting information the authorities are unable to.

Ryan finds himself strangely attracted to Thierry and his feelings are reciprocated but his feelings of loss and confusion got in the way of his happiness. All Ryan knows is Thierry's life is constantly at risk and he is the only body to get between danger and prisoner.

Orrin is trying his best to uncover the reason behind Thierry's imprisonment and goes undercover. While there, he meets a young man whose soul is older than what is normal and finds himself confused over his feelings. One, he is in his forties and Jay is nineteen. Is Jay just feeling the itch or is there something there that Orrin is missing. Orrin is confused when he meets Ryan face to face once more after all the years and old feelings come to the surface. In the sidelines, Thierry watches as Ryan vs Orrin happens while Jay is feeling insecure but determined to get his man.

The two interconnected stories happen simultaneously and unfolds quite slowly but for good reason. There is a whole lot of political and criminal intrigue so the book itself is quite lengthy. There were, however, a few things that did not work for me like the medical side of the story. I cannot spoil but for those who will be on the lookout, they were red flags. Fortunately, they were the only red flags that caught my attention and overall, this ended as an enjoyably intriguing read.

I do recommend this to those who love action-packed stories with a twist of MM romance.

A gripping story involving four hot men tangled in a tale of love, duty and intrigue.

Orrin has spent the past seventeen years pining over his foster brother who left the family home and became a priest to avoid the attraction they felt for each other. Ryan has managed to stay celibate during this agonizing time and learned to maintain some control over his feelings and rein them in, deciding to serve God rather than be in a relationship with a man.

Father Ryan is asked to hear the confession of Commander Thierry Donovan, a former naval officer who has been dishonorably discharged and falsely imprisoned, and the two ‘brothers’ meet again because Orrin was the one who suggested the priest for the task. Orrin is an undercover agent investigating Thierry’s case and attempting to clear his name. He hopes Ryan can assist with this as well as renewing their former connection at the same time. However, Orrin doesn’t anticipate the priest and the innocent prisoner falling in love. The attraction between these two men is instant, and although there is guilt and uncertainty where it will lead for them, they eventually get a chance to make out after an attempt on Thierry's life.

Ryan is confused and torn between his love for God and his love for the commander. Thierry is love sick but accepts the priest may still choose God over him. That doesn't stop him from hoping their love will win out in the end. He also knows Ryan and Orrin still have their own personal issues to resolve.

Jaydan Callahan, a young street gang member, provides a distraction for Orrin’s aching heart. They work together to protect Thierry, whose life is in danger from the local mafia boss. The four men have to be careful with whom they trust and need to look out for each other.

The story is told from mainly Ryan, Orrin and Thierry’s POV, clearly marked within each chapter, to give us a deeper glimpse inside their heads. We also get the occasional input from Jaydan and his story tugs on the heartstrings.

An enjoyable, action-packed and lengthy adventure with many romantic and sizzling scenes. It is well written and speedily paced with plenty to hold the interest throughout, including a lot of focus on the main characters’ internal dialogue and dilemmas.

It is a shame the book didn’t receive a final professional edit because many typos and errors remain, but overall it is still well worth reading.

When I read the premise for this book,I was ready to love it...I read Ansleigh's Grotto by the same author, and I loved that one too,and although this is althogether different type of romance,I was certain that I'm going to enjoy this one no less. But,to say I was disappointed was puting it mildly,because...me and my expectations *shakes head regretfully*

First of all, romance books almost always demand from you that you suspend your disbelief to some extent. But,here, authors were asking a lot from me...I know something about how military works, and I know a lot about medicine, and I tried,I really did,but even if I could overlook military aspect (I don't want to give any spoilers, but lets just say that it had me rolling my eyes for several times), I can't,just can't comprehend how a man with a gunshot wound, after passing out and after impact on his body caused by the bomb,in the matter of minutes wakes up and goes swimming to saves the other man. I mean...WTH? The other guy is no better believe me,but they survive,of course. And,then,we find out that .How? Well, apparently, when you donate blood to someone,it's perfectly normal to perform a DNA test, too. You know, just in case o.O You can consider it some kind of bonus from the hospital, since you didn't ask for it. And some super-super-quick one, while we're at it,done in a couple of hours. I mean, really?

As for the characters...although Jay's POV is the least present one in this book,he is the most consistent character, and the one I liked the most. He is a smart street kid,who had it tough in life, but who is doing what he can to survive and make things easier for his mom. I kind of liked Orion too,but I found it hard to believe his sudden (and I mean sudden) change of heart. After literaly moping and moping over Ryan for 20 years,he just suddenly stops and says "Wait, but I don't love Ryan,I love Jay!". Believe me,it was something along those lines...

As for Thiery and Ryan...Thiery was like a schoolgirl with a crush most of the time, and thought like one, too, and Ryan was literaly pulling everyone's chain.

And what's worst, since this is a romance book, and 300 pages long one at that,I expected some romance developing, and even though we have 2 romantic storylines here,I think 300 pages is more than enough for romance to slowly graduate and develop. What I didn't expect (again, considering the length) was insta-love,basically in both cases. I can buy it in short stories and novellas, but in a long novel? No.

So,unfortunately, this book didn't work for me,and if you can overlook all these things it might be for you, but, personally,I can't recommend it.

I really wanted to like it more.

I kind of figured I'd have to suspend my disbelief while reading this. But it exceeded my capacity. I've copied my GR status updates to show my growing frustration level.

35.0% "I don't know if the author intended hyperbole, but I don't think it possible to fist yourself. But A for effort.

45.0% "I'm getting a little irritated with internal monologues over lust and love, in the middle of exploding buildings and physical injuries. Suspend all logic!"

56.0% "How does he step out of his jeans, stand on the bunk, then unbutton the jeans?"

62.0% "How does someone ride pavilion on a motorcycle? I don't think they build them that narrow."

73.0% "Really? The hotshot agent stands there watching the fight instead of the other bad guy?"

76.0% "Why in h**l would they not be wearing bulletproof vests?"

82.0% "Patient names and what happens in the OR are not written on giant white boards at the nurses station!"

89.0% "Ryan is an a**hole, priest or not. Make a f'ing decision you wimpy, spineless p**ck."

I wasn't expecting a lot of reality but: Thierry was 6'6", then 6'9". He did upside down sit-ups hanging by his feet from the cell bars. But he could never beat up the bad guys well enough to save himself. Never mind how the Admiral allowed so many bad things to happen inside a military prison for two years and no one could prove anything. The NCIS agent whose brains seemed to be in his pants and never let his wounds impair a good hard-on.

I can accept bending the truth to fit the plot but I demand that some sort of logic is applied. It was also far too long and needed to lose some repetitive scenes. That includes the irritating behavior of the priest and his brother rehashing the same crap in endless internal musings. I'm not even counting all the errors in wording and grammar. Pavilion riding on motorcycles, buses "divulging" passengers, etc.

I wanted to like it. Some of my fave character types, military, law enforcement and lots of action. I may try one more from these authors but I'll have to think about it. Tossing in a little foot fetish helped.

I haven't been reading as much lately, but was determined to start making time to read again. I won Broken Oaths at a book release party, and figured it'd be a great time to start. I've never read M/M, so this was completely new to me.

Overall, I enjoyed the story. It was compelling, the characters were well fleshed out. The situations seemed believable and not one of those kind of things that make you go "Oh come on!" while reading. While the storyline seemed like it had a few too many plot turns, it was mostly because I wanted that HEA to happen and each twist served to make it seem further. There were a few typos that I noticed while reading, but most were easy to figure out. "Plan" instead of "plane", "steel" instead of "steal". Not anything that really detracted from the story itself.

The only thing that annoyed me was how dense the men were with each other, and how it seemed they were ready to admit their feelings and then they just stopped and turned away. If a book has characters that makes me root for them and get annoyed when they're being stupid in love, then that author has made the characters feel like flesh and blood, and invited me into their world. To me, when I "feel" along with the characters, it's the highest compliment I can give to an author. I look forward to reading more and will definitely be adding these authors to my reading list.

This book has one of the best blurbs I've ever read. And it may be the worst story I've ever read. The main characters have the maturity level of teenage boys at the heighth of puberty and about as much sense as god gave a billygoat, to quote my mother. They stop to kiss in the middle of trying to escape from people determined to kill them and this happens over and over again. One decides he's so lovesick he'll ride his motorcycle into a large truck coming down the road, gets run over and then goes on about his business. This is a government agent who's supposed to be on his way to deliver crucial evidence that will jail gangsters and an admiral and also free a man who's been in prison for 8 years. And on and on and on. And then there are the sex scenes. When one begins with "he gently spit into his own palm", there's not much hope for it getting better. I can count on 1 hand the number of books I've rated as 1 star but I can't give it anything higher and I realize I'm in the minority. Just too much melodrama.
