Katie O'Sullivan does it again with another solid romance with enough action, twists, and turns to keep the pages turning! I love how she weaves the landscape of Cape Cod into her stories so much so that they are often like a character. Chase and Emma were one steamy duo that the reader can't help but root for! I loved the mob action and the murder mystery intertwined in this romance - download it today, grab a hot drink, cuddle up and let Katie take you to Cape Cod in the summer no matter where you live!

"Crazy About You" by Katie O’Sullivan

I love romance. I love suspense. “Crazy About You” has both. Katie does a magnificent job weaving love and murder together. A cozy, this novel will have your cheering on the protagonist and worrying about if the protagonist will be around long enough to enjoy the romance coming her way.

Emma comes home from New York to Provincetown to visit, but it’s not long before she’s had enough and goes back to New York. But before leaving Provincetown she literally bumps into a stranger. Chase Anderson is in town for his research he’s doing and doesn’t plan on staying long.

Back in New York, Emma is called back to Provincetown to run her mother’s bead store while her parents are away taking care of her brother Sean after emergency surgery.

Chase ends up having to stay longer in Provincetown that he initially anticipated. Before you know it, Emma and Chase spend more and more time together. But Emma’s friend from New York, Tony, doesn’t like it. His cousin Vito reports back to Tony that he spotted Emma out with Chase. He tells her to stop dating, that it doesn’t look good for him. When Emma defends herself and relationship, telling Tony that they were only friends, not a couple, Tony makes Vito apologize to Emma.

Vito ends up dead. Emma refuses to believe Tony had anything to do with it. Is she that naïve? Doesn’t she realize who Tony really is? And why should she stop dating Chase just because people think she and Tony are a couple? What is really going on? It’s rumored to be mob-related. Is it true?

So many questions and I will not answer a single one. This is a book you have to read to find out. Katie will draw you in like she did to me. You won’t stop until you’ve reached the end. Very enjoyable.

A ruptured appendix, a mob-related boyfriend who’s not really a boyfriend, and a pair of broken cell phones.

What do all these diverse things have in common? Emma Andromeda Maguire. She’s back home to help out at her mother’s tourist shop while her brother recuperates from a life-threatening appendectomy; her platonic friend Tony Lenzi is with her when she rams into a guy on a Provincetown street, knocking both their phones from their hands. What follows is a tale of mistaken identity, a shady mafia deal, and a whole lot of uproar in the life of one very staid, reserved, and hunky climate scientist, Dr. Chase Anderson.

In one short week, Chase and Emma are dragged through a series of events that puts every choice Emma has made in her personal and professional life into question, while Chase learns for the very first time that his lonely, scholarly existence is not cracked up to be the end-all-be-all he thought it was. With Emma, he finds a missing ingredient in his perfect life: happiness.

In CRAZY ABOUT YOU, Katie O’Sullivan has given us a hero and heroine to root for, both in love, in life, and to BE CRAZY ABOUT! The secondary characters are fully formed, real people you could envision meeting and getting to know, from Chase’s tequila-loving grad student, Todd, to Emma’s boyfriend-who-really-isn’t Tony. Add in an FBI inquiry, a possible mob-hit, and some very pertinent info about climate change and the environment, and you’ve got a well-rounded, entertaining story that begs to read.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the author’s next novel.

I loved this contemporary romance by Katie O’Sullivan and think it’s her best work to date. The main characters are intriguing, complex, and realistic. The romance between the two main characters is believable, and the murder investigation kept me guessing where O’Sullivan was going with the plot!

My two favorite things about this book: 1) with a background in biology and a love for the ocean, I adored how O’Sullivan expertly wove environmental issues into the plot without beating the reader on the head of it, or making light of it. I gobbled it up, and loved every moment. 2) Chase’s often hung-over assistant Todd. He cracked me up on more than one occasion, and I not-so-secretly hope O’Sullivan will write a spin off story for this hilarious young man.

My least favorite thing about this book? It ended. And like all books that engross you, it’s always bittersweet to say good-bye to the characters at the end of the book.

This is another wonderfully written contemporary romance by Katie O’Sullivan, and with action packed, suspenseful prose, written with witty intellect, I highly recommend Crazy About You for all lovers of the romance genre.

I received this story as an ARC for an honest review. I've never read Katie O'Sullivan's books before, but I'm glad I was given the opportunity. In our busy world, I search for well written books to sweep me away. O'Sullivan does exactly that in Crazy About You.

Her writing painted a lovely canvas in my mind of a small town on the New England Cape, with details that instantly drew me into the setting. The small port town, the little shops and ambiance sucked me in before the narrative even began.

Her endearing characters, Chase and Emma along with well-developed minor characters like Todd, had me involved in their lives and connected to their stories right away. Chase, a hot environmentalist who has spent weeks at sea, was smitten the moment he saw Emma's straight, blonde hair, freckle sprinkled cheeks and ample curves. But the two have to overcome their own demons, which are woven into the story with expertise and not a smidgen of backstory dump, before love can evolve.

I love the way the author pulls in environmental issues relevant today to build an even more believable contemporary story.

Throw in a murder investigation, suspense, and unexpected twists and turns dusted with beautify written bursts of description like: A thin plume of darkness twisted skyward, smudging against the clear afternoon sky, and you have a wonderful romance with a satisfying HEA.

If you haven't read Katie O'Sullivan's books before, I would highly recommend you start here. She'll have you hooked.

I look forward to reading more of this author's work.

Sexy, Smart, Fun Summer Romance

Another fantastic and well written romance novel from Katie O’Sullivan. Crazy About You is one of my favorite books of the year so far and is probably Ms. O’Sullivan’s best work yet!

Emma and Chase have a history of past relationships that leaves them a little wary about falling in love but their attraction to one another trumps any and all misgivings. While trying to figure out their feelings for one another they become entangled in a murder investigation, an excessive amount of mafia related mayhem, and a possible environmental catastrophe.

I was rooting for Emma and Chase from page one. The main characters are full of depth and I found them extremely likeable. The setting is descriptive and charming and felt like I walked right into Cape Cod and Provincetown. The novel has quite the cast of memorable characters including Todd, Chase’s young, energetic - and often hung over intern - and Tony, Emma’s close friend and a hunky Italian New Yorker.

Crazy About You is a fun, romantic and sexy, captivating story that touches on environmental issues but also throws in some action-packed suspense that keeps the reader on edge. The writing is clear, intelligent, and sprinkled with beautiful prose – all things that I really appreciate. I couldn’t put this book down!

Ms. O’Sullivan is a talented author and this novel really stands out as a 5 star romance with a sweet happily ever after!

Crazy About You is a perfect example of why Katie O’Sullivan has become an auto-read for me.

O’Sullivan has crafted a beautiful romance painted against the picture-perfect backdrop of the cape. Such detail existed about P-town, I could smell the salt air and taste the ice cream from the local parlor.

Emma is a native to the summer-destination and his home helping her parents, while they care for sick brother. Chase, a climate scientist, is there for work, but becomes captivated by Emma’s carefree approach to life.

Sparks fly, and the chemistry between the two scorches the pages. But, Emma’s friend from the city and her job threatens to get in the way of their happily ever after.

O’Sullivan weaves in a suspense thread that twists to and fro and will keep you turning pages.

A must read.

This is the 1st book I've read from author, Katie O'Sullivan. After reading "Crazy About You", I'll certainly be checking out her other work. In "Crazy About You", we are taken on a subtly sexy jaunt through Cape Cod, lured through an investigation of a summer fling and a mobster ring.

I was really drawn into the story, by the author’s ability to paint a vivid picture of the Cape Cod region. She had me feeling like one of the locals, getting acquainted with all the local shops and hot spot eateries. And the knowledge she imparts about the environmental concerns of our oceans, you find yourself caring just as much about saving our natural world, as much as looking forward to the next steamy kiss.

If you are into romance and want to be swept away to The Cape, this book is for you.

Thank you to NetGalley for the eARC

OMG I loved this book, the characters, the location, the mobsters...it had everything. I loved Emma and Chase as a couple and it was brilliant to watch them navigate their feelings for each other as well as deal with possible mob hits, threats and corruption. The secondary characters were just as well written as the main ones, especially Todd. Honestly I just loved this book 5*****

Chase Anderson is only interested in one thing when he shows up in Provincetown—to finish his assignment of mapping the Atlantic garbage gyre for the U.S. Global Change Research Program. But when he sees Emma Maguire, he only has one mission—to make her his.

Emma Maguire is a local girl who was happy to move away to New York City. But when her brother suddenly becomes ill, Emma feels the need to stick around Provincetown to help her family out. That’s when she’s captivated by the mysterious stranger, Chase Anderson.

After accidently bumping into each other (literally), Emma ends up with Chase’s phone. Sparks continue to fly over the next several days but will Emma’s fundraising work with the Eco Dawn project and her involvement with Tony Lenzi put an end to things before they start?

I really loved reading “Crazy About You”. The location (on Cape Cod) and the small town feel of Provincetown pulled me right in and kept my interest throughout the book. Not only were the main characters, Chase and Emma, fun to read, but also the secondary characters of Tony and Todd, Chase’s intern. There was plenty of “getting to know you” romance as well as the drama with Tony’s questionable ties with the mob and the action sequence that tied everything together. Loved it!
The only thing I would have liked to have seen more of was maybe some more insight into Emma’s past relationship with Daniel. (Maybe a prequel?)

I was awarded this book through a goodreads giveaway.
I am not normally into love stories, nor have I read anything by this author before, but I'm so glad that I read this book.
Emma and Chase.....they had me sold from the very beginning. It's almost as if fate had a hand in this book, for these two to end up together.
Chase, a marine biologist, is immediately captivated by Emma-upon first sight. Emma is in town a short while visiting family but eager to get back to NY. Chase is just there for a short, one night stay, before going back to sea. They pass each other on the sidewalk and the attraction is unbelievable.
With a little switch-up of phones, they're destined to meet again. All of this is cute and I wore a goofy grin the whole time I read it.
Now let's add in the fact that the mob gets tied in and a huge mystery is involved-now the author has thrown in a ton on top of an already adorable book. Needless to say-I highly recommend this book. It's a light read, relaxing and fast, that will have you gripped in suspense and at the same time-grinning all goofy as you fall in love with the main characters.

Katie O'Sullivan's latest contemporary romance peels back the curtain on the wonderfully quirky town at the tip of Cape Cod. Set against the backdrop of Provincetown's shimmering sunsets and lively local scenes, the story weaves through narrow streets where pedicab drivers dodge the throng of tourists in town for Carnival. The theme? Married to the Mob. The only problem is that not all the revelers are playing dress-up.

What begins as a seductive dance between two workaholics (Emma and Chase) soon twists and turns into a fast-paced story that refuses to let go until the very end. When sizzling late-night kisses on the beach are interrupted by screams, their journey takes on a whole new direction.

This novel was a lot of fun to read. I recognized several of the locations which were expertly described by the author and I felt like I was right there, in the midst of the characters' scenes. From ducking flying fists at The Squealing Pig to almost tasting the chilled, sugary snow cone that quenches Chase's thirst when the action starts to heat up. This is a must-read for anyone who enjoys romantic sparring with a side of mystery and murder!

I love this contemporary romance! Fast paced, unique characters, and a sweet romance. It also has a unique and interesting plot. The author knows a lot about environmental issues and it shows. I love that I learned about garbage gyres in the ocean and what exactly scientists are looking at in regards to the health threats these gyres (plus warming ocean waters) pose.
The main characters, Dr. Chase Anderson, and Emma are falling in love, much to their own disbelief (we readers figure it out before they do! :-)) while at the same time dealing with mobsters and murder. It all adds up to a fast paced, satisfying romance. Highly recommend!

This story is great for romance readers who want a little bit of a thriller thrown into their happily ever after. The first 100 pages are a smart funny romance, but then the tension builds up and you won’t want to put it down. The setting is fun and expertly written with details like real restaurants with their signature meals. I enjoyed the small town feel and quirky characters so much that I’m daydreaming about a visit to Cape Cod.

Make it short, make it fast...

We have Emma and Chase. Chase likes the sea and science.
Emma is naive who has not noticed that her friend is a mobster.

Emma and Chase flirt, do more.

There is a bit of suspense...There is drama with her friend.

They live happily ever after.

It was cute

Received an ARC for my fair review for netgalley. Well it was not my favorite book, and one of the reasons is because I can't believe that Emma was truly this gullible. You have your family, friends, and people you meet and they all warn you that the guy you are spending time with is part of the mob, and you keep telling yourself "no it can't be" please.. Then we have Chase, who is instantly attracted to Emma, and wants to spend more time with her, even though you think she has a mobster boyfriend. Yeah, not buying it, after only meeting her a couple of days, you are putting your life, your reputation, and your coworkers lives at stake, because you are truly in love, even though she keep telling you, mobster is not boyfriend, you still think he is..
