Sequel to “Kiera’s Moon.” Includes the novelette, “Kiera’s Home”
Kiera accompanies A’Ran to the toxic surface of Anshan to assess just how bad things are and whether or not she really can help the damaged planet heal. When she returns, she is faced with a larger challenge, one that threatens her newfound life and home, one too terrible to reveal to A’Ran, who has placed his hope and that of his people in her.
Together, they must find a way to restore Anshan’s life force, before it’s too late to save the planet – and Kiera.
I breathe stories. I dream them. If it were possible, I'd eat them, too. (I'm pretty sure they'd taste like cotton candy.) I can't escape them - they're everywhere! Which is why I write! I was born to bring the crazy worlds and people in my mind to life, and I love sharing them with as many people as I can.
I'm also the bestselling, award winning, internationally acclaimed author of over sixty titles and counting. I write speculative fiction in multiple subgenres of romance and fantasy, contemporary fiction, books for both teens and adults, and just about anything else I feel like writing. If I can imagine it, I can write it!

Anshan Saga – new adult science fiction romance Kiera’s Moon Kiera’s Sun
I loved this book. I've been waiting to see what happened with Kiera and A'Ran and Anshan for a while. And was even more intrigued when I read Kiera's Home. I was happy to see it was included in this book because I needed the refresher, and it was a good intro to the remainder of the story.
As we learned in Kiera's Home, Kiera learns she is dying and suspects that Anshan is too, but doesn't know if she is driving the planet's demise or vice versa. She hasn't told A'Ran for fear that he would return her home to Earth, and the secret is weighing on her. On top of that, she will see Evey soon after assuming their friendship is over and they would never have reason to meet again. But Anshan needs help, and trading with their old allies is crucial.
I loved how the story unfolded, and how much A'Ran evolved from the duty bound Dhjan to someone who places family ahead of duty. There was a spiritual component, in how the planet was alive and bound by the souls of the people who inhabited it in the past. Some of it was definitely fantastical, but engaging. And the ending was priceless. My only downside is that it does need another quick scrubbing grammatically. Lizzy books don't normally have many errors. They were a little distracting, but overall, I enjoyed this and read it much faster than I anticipated.
The second book to the Anshan Saga was as charming as the first. The world created by Ms Lizzy Ford remained uniquely interesting and wonderful. There was a much improvement in character development, especially Kiera. Now that she grew her backbone and realised how manipulative and selfish Evelyn was, she became the much likeable heroine just like most in Ms. Lizzy Ford's book. I enjoyed the book much more than the first and would have love to read more epilogue of the story.
This was a great book if you would like to get in touch with the inner feelings of the characters as their life forces bond with planetary forces to create a living planet. I, mistakenly, chose this book, thinking it was a romance between two creatures, one of them not the planet.
I enjoyed this book. It has been awhile since we have heard from Kiera. I liked that Lizzy put in the short story because I hadn't read it yet I was actually waiting for the second book to come out before reading because I knew how much I would want the second if I read it. I loved that this one focused on the planet. That it focused on A'ran and what he did. That everything had a reason and everything happened for a reason. Evey still gets on my nerves but she still tried to redeem herself in this one at least. That is a start granted she did a lot wrong in the first book. I love the characters and the stories each character brings. I would have liked to see more about the people maybe release a short story about back before A'ran's parents were killed. I couldn't put the book down though. I had to know what was going to happen and if they were going to be able to save the planet. I also like the notion of the connection between the three of them. Not only is it Kiera and the planet that are connected but so is A'ran. This book had suspense, laughter, and emotions all through out. Kiera is one tough cookie and I love that she doesn't ever lose that.
And Lizzy Ford again does an awesome job with Kiera's Sun - which is the sequel to “Kiera’s Moon” and also includes the novelette, “Kiera’s Home”. You really need to read Kiera's Moon before reading Kiera's Sun - it will make a whole lot more sense to you and will definitely catch you up on the story!!!
In Kiera's Sun - the 2nd book in the Anshan series, A'Ran (Kiera's lifemate) is amazed to learn that his lifemate (Kiera) is alive and was just kidnapped by her friends lifemate. This book continues the story of Kiera and A'Ran and their plans to fix the planet that they both are connected to. I don't write spoilers so I won't say anything more about the story - but this too is an awesome book and you will find that it is hard to put it down.
I am disappointed to hear that this is going to be where the story ends - but I guess that all stories must end somewhere.
I was given a copy of this book for an honest review!
I have been waiting for this sequel to Kiera's Moon for AGES! And it does not disappoint. Kiera and A'Ran's struggle for Anshan continues as they discover trouble with the planet. Of course, since A'Ran's parents died before he took the throne, they were never able to pass on the secrets of Anshan to their son. This makes things very complicated as they battle against the clock to figure out the secrets of ancient generations. Author Lizzy Ford has written many books but this is one of my favorite series by the author. After all, who wouldn't want a love story taking place on a distant planet? This is a sweet love story with a galactic battle at hand. It's enthralling and you'll have a hard time putting it down.
Sometimes A'Ran just needs to go with the flow where his woman is concerned, “that’s what got us here,” she pointed out. “And I made a vow, in your name, not to hurt any of them.” A’Ran had a few choice words for anyone negotiating a peace treaty with his mortal enemies on his behalf, but he swallowed them, studying her features instead." It was good to catch up with these characters I had missed them and loved the first book.
I'm sorry to say that I didn't enjoy this sequel as much as the first book or novella. It didn't have the magic of the first one and it didn't show all the things I was hoping to see. An example is Evey and Kiera making up or more time with A'Ran. I wanted to see more of Kiera ruling Anshan!! I don't know if it was because I waited so long for the sequel to come out but this was a lackluster for me.
Love this book. I thought it was better than Kiera's Moon (the first part of the story). That said, Kiera's Moon is a must read as it sets the scene for Kiera's Sun. Well written, it is a fast paced story that I devoured in about 3 hours of reading time. If you have read Kiera's Moon you HAVE to read Kiera's Sun to finish Kiera and A'Ran's story. Enjoy!
Lizzy Ford is on of my favorite authors. She writes so very much that December is always Lizzy Ford Month for me. I love everything that she does, but Kiera has always my favorite character. And Kiera's Sun did not disappoint. What a terrific story line, all the way through the series. Consistent and riveting, Kiera still has my heart.
