Not safe for reading at work.
This was a hot little story that went from zero to sixty in less than two seconds flat.
When I wasn't laughing at how fast things were moving and how ridiculous some of the dialogue was, it was really quite good.
Would happily read more from this author.

My sis-in-law: yeah, Revue was so bad, but I promise if you read this you'll love this author!! And I'll bake something if you read it.
Me: cupcakes?
S-I-L: yup, red velvet ones.
Me: deal.
After the read: even the fucking cupcakes weren't enough to make me ever read another novel by this author. In fact, I started a whole new shelf because of her...authors-to-avoid.
And now I have to get on the fucking elliptical another hour to work off the fucking cupcake.

Full Review @ Naomi’s Reading Palace
This was a good start to the Secret Confessions serial, where all the stories evolve around the concert for Australian band The Screaming Tuesdays. The first story is about Chase, who rocks up to the concert and can’t find his ticket. The girl he was chatting with offers her the spare ticket she has before taking off inside. Luckily, they are numbered seats and Chase and Jess meet up again. The flirting and the sexual tension escalated until they both decide to take a chance, and soon they are off satisfying those urges.
I really enjoyed this read, it was fast paced and I could feel the connection oozing out of the pages. I liked seeing the reaction that Chase and Jess had to one another, despite both just coming out of relationships. It was a hot, steamy read that left me wanting more!

Loved this short novella by Kelly that as always is written really well with great characters that I found addictive to read.
Chase has waited forever to see his favourite band The Screaming Tuesdays and with the week he has had he is so looking forward to a night out with a couple of beers listening to good music. Losing his ticket is not even on his agenda, so when he reaches into his pocket and cannot find it he is devastated to say the least --- until he looks up into the green eyes of a beautiful brunette with the most kissable lips he has ever seen, he is hooked and she will change his night for the better.
Let me tell you for such a short story the chemistry between the two main characters was electric to say the least. It was easy to fall in love with this story because the two people in this book bought this story together perfectly. They were magnetic and sexy, teasing and naughty, taking chances but with no regrets.
The sex was scorching hot and written so well, Kelly is so good at this I could have read this couple all night.
Not to be missed, grab a coffee, tuck your feet up on that sofa and pass an hour reading this cheeky hot little number, you won't be sorry !!!

Anyone who knows me knows how I love my rock stars. But this series is a little different, not just focusing on the hot sexy rockers, but also on those around them.
This is the first of 6 installments, one released weekly.
Chase and Jess' story is hot hot hot. I mean Chase is a dirty, dirty boy - and I loved it!
They have both had a crappy week and are off to see their favourite band. When their worlds collide, there is some serious sparkage. And what they do with that sparkage...
Let's just say that I will never look at those dark nooks and crannies around an entertainment centre the same ever again...EVER!
Ms Golland draws you into the concert scene, the music, the atmosphere, the pure, lust driven feelings between our MCs. For such a little story, it sure does pack a lot of punch! But it left me wanting - wanting, no needing to know what happens after this one night.
Chase is a quick, sexy read, and a great start to this serial series.

This is the first installment of a new series. Each installment is set to come out every week, and each part is written by a different author. Unlike most rock band books, these books tell the story of the people connected with the concert. Chase is waiting in line to attend the concert of The Screaming Tuesdays. When he gets to the ticket taker his ticket is missing. Jess, is in line behind him she has an extra ticket because her boyfriend sent her a break-up text a couple of hours earlier. Not needing the extra ticket she offers it to Chase. As readers we get to see how Chase and Jess have a mind blowing experience as they listen to their favorite band.

This collection of short stories are a great pick me up read, ideal for lunch break reads.
Having read most of Ms Golland's books I knew I would enjoy this story and I wasn't disappointed.
Chase meets Jess in the queue for the Screaming Tuesdays concert, she takes pity on him when realises he has left his ticket behind, He is lost for words when he sees the stunning brunette, and he dashes off to go find her and buy her a thank you drink.
This is a short and steamy tale of an instant attraction and two people who have had crap weeks. Join them for the ride as they decide to give in to these feelings...
I will never look at a stairwell the same again.
Note the other stories contain MM and Multiple partner scenes.

This is the first book in the Secret Confessions: Backstage series...... I'm a huge fan of KM Golland's books and this book has not disappointed...... it's a quick read (about 1 hour) and follows the story of Chase who has tickets to a concert in Chicago. The last stop of their wildly successful US tour sees Australia’s biggest rock band, The Screaming Tuesdays, in sultry, summertime Chicago to play two sold-out shows..... The stage isn't where all the action is..... We follow the story of Chase and what he gets up to at the concert..... this books show's the humour which Golland is famous for...... it's a great quick read and one I'm sure you will enjoy......

Chase Lewis has been waiting to see The Screaming Tuesdays ever since he first heard the Australian band. Now The Tuesdays are in Chicago, the last stop on the US leg of their world tour, and he has tickets. His ex-girlfriend has been harassing him, his boss has been giving him a hard time. But tonight is for him and his pleasure. Queued to enter the arena, he is jounced by a petite brunette who trips into him. They strike up a conversation as they move forward. At the turnstiles Chase can’t find his ticket. Jess offers him the ticket meant for her ex-boyfriend and the night becomes much more interesting. Chase and Jess at The Screaming Tuesdays concert and the action isn’t all on stage.

Chase is the first novella in the Secret Confessions series, with each novella written by a different author. If the other novellas are anything like Chase, then this promises to be a smoking hot series! Chase was a fun, quick, and steamy hot read. Chase has had a rough day. Jess' boyfriend just broke up with her via text message. They are unexpectedly thrown together at a Screaming Tuesdays concert. While the music is good, their attraction is greater.
I am already a big fan of KM Golland, and as usual, she didn't disappoint. I can't wait to see what she writes next, and I will most likely look up the rest of the Secret Confessions series as they are published.

Chase is characteristically Golland—strong likeable characters, smooth yet fast paced storyline, and sizzling hot sex. And, I do mean sizzling. The premise of the story, which put simply is insta-lust, is often a difficult one to make believeable however Golland tells a story of well-timed coincidences, giving into impulsiveness, and a dynamic between the leading characters that supersedes logic. A fantastic introduction to The Screaming Tuesdays and the Backstage series.

If you're looking for a quick erotic romance to read before bedtime, I highly recommend reading the Secret Confessions Backstage: Chase by K.M. Golland. Short, sexy and steamy!!
To be perfectly honest the reason I picked up this book was because of author KM Golland. Reading this now means I’ve read everything published by her 😁😁 And this short novella was everything I’ve come to expect from a novel by Kelly - it was super sexy, super steamy and so funny!! Chase and Jess are in insta-lust and I’m totally fine with that 😉 A quick read that hits all the spots and only made me sad it wasn’t longer!!

3.5* An enjoyable start to this series of short stories based on people attending or working at a sell out concert in Chicago.
This story features Chase who is looking forward to the concert after a bad week, and Jess who was dumped by her boyfriend just before the concert, and therefore has a spare ticket which she kindly hands over to Chase after he loses his.

September 24, 2015Loved the premise of this series and this novella yet the tone didn't work for me. Also, due to the short length, I wanted really dynamic characters but neither Chase nor the heroine stood out for me. I will give the next addition a read though.
