Dream balanced the role of student by day and stripper by night well. A 19-year old sophomore at DMU, she was respected as the best to ever do it at Club Pussy. Far from single, Dream maintained a long distance relationship with her boyfriend, Cheddar. Even though she was loyal and faithful, she knew a local dope boy had his eyes on her. When Cheddar failed to realize Dream’s worth, she broke up with him and lived the single life, until her body could no longer take the loneliness. Will Dream let Cheddar pull her backwards or will her new distraction pull her into a different realm?
I liked this read. I love Dream and Bump as a couple. The slang was hard to follow but funny. Like they said I got peoples meaning a girlfriend/boyfriend.
This was my first read by this author, and I must say that I liked the story. Dream is a college student by day, and a dancer by night, in order to pay her way through school. Cheddar, her long distance boyfriend, isn't living up to her expectations, and is soon kicked to the curb. Bump, a serious player in the game, is a harmless flirtation, but we all know that where there's smoke, there's fire. The smoldering flame between them is something serious. The flow of the story is pretty good, and although there are errors in the story, they weren't distracting enough that I couldn't get through the read.
I take my hat off to the author for writing an enjoyable story, and wish her continued success. I will continue to read her books; I'm curious to see where she goes next. I would recommend it to others.
Bump, a drug dealer, has his eye on LaShay, aka Dream, who works as a stripper to pay her way through college. There was something different about her to him and he just had to have her but her boyfriend Cheddar wasn't too fond of that. This urban d-boy tale has a very "down south" feel from the language and terms used as well as the music referenced. I particularly could not get into the story however, I am hoping part 2 will flesh out whatever was missing for me with part one.
Part 1 was a good beginning to this story as Dream was a hustler! Storyline full of drama & held my attention. I thought it was good Dream was serious about finishing school. Her decision to leave Cheddar & stick with Bump was a wise choice. Cheddar & Buffy were 2 of a kind with their crooked ways-they belonged together. 1st read by Erica Kane & looking forward to reading all the books in this series.
This was an ok read for me. The slang in the book was funny. The way it ending did not have me wanting more. I probably will read part 2 just see how everything lay out. I will say that I love Bump and Dream relationship.
I always love when authors write books about my hometown of Miami, and this book was really good. I was able to relate to the places mentioned. Dream-she was a go getter and an independent woman. She didn't depend on anyone to help her financially. Bump-he was a good guy who kept it 100 at all times. Cheddar-he was a washed up has been. Instead of him moving on, he wants to do harm to Dream and Bump. He had his chance, but he blew it. Buffy needs to mind her business and stop telling Cheddar everything. Reka needs to move on because her time has expired.

A fast paced hood romance that had me running to Part two!
Dream and Bump meet and the feelings take off from there. Dream hesitates because she if in a relationship with Cheddar. That relationship withers away and Dream gives herself time before giving in to Bump. I appreciated that as a woman.
Gutta and Angel also have a wonderful relationship from the start. I love the comrade the couples share amongst each other. I questioned Angel's loyalty in the beginning but was quickly proven wrong.
Even though I try to stay away from the drug stories I must say this story was interesting. It kept you involved and you could actually see the story in your mind as if you were watching it on a big screen. It was well written and I look forward to the next installment. Kudos, to this author on a well put together story.
This authors work is new to me, and I must say that I loved every page. Dream and Bump are my kind of couple. Of course with everything that they are doing, the haters are going to hate. Let's not forget about Cheddar and Buffie. I can't wait to see what happens next.
I having a real problem with this chick Buffie running her mouth! Cheddar needs to take his L and keep it moving....I like Dream bc she plays no games and get her money...Bump is laid back and getting money I like him and Gutta!
