The Awakening of Tara: Charmed in Paradise Series-Book One (BBW Witches and Wizards Paranormal Romance) by Sara McBride – If this girl is supposed to have an “ample waist,” then why can’t they find a cover model who isn’t a size 4? I need AI to actually do some good in the world and make the covers match the character descriptions! Be prepared for some secondhand embarrassment and a crazy, magic filled vacation! Happy Reading!

This is the first part of a series and ends on a cliff-hanger.
Tara is a BBW who has been extremely hurt by her ex fiancé, is struggling to cope with her workload and is having a hard time moving on. To help her take a step forward her best friend Sophie has taken her to Barbados for a fun holiday but on the first day an accident and a meeting with a local woman changes the two friends life’s forever.
I loved the descriptive writing that allowed me to easily visualise the settings and character. Tara and Sophie are the main characters in this instalment. They are lively, likeable and easy to relate to. The plot moves well and is interesting with a fresh take on the genre.
I am sure this will be an interesting and lively series full of passion, magic and romance

March 12, 2016Tara is still recovering from her break up with her fiancé. On a trip to Barbados with her friend Sophie, she enjoys the time away while mourning her failed relationship. By chance she is able to save a little girl who is stung by a bee. The mother of the child is a which that chooses to pass on some of her powers to Tara and Sophie for being the only individuals who were there to help and save her child from dying from shock. At first the ladies don't believe that they have been blessed with these powers, but then strange things start to happen. Where will this story lead? On to the next book. - I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a new and different. Unexpected twist. Cliffhanger ending can't wait to read the next one.
