*happy sigh* Ravenna knows how to tell a good story, and she excels in this series. This instalment gets us a bit closer to solving the mystery, and I just love the little clues we get.

Exclusive Access is hot, sweet, and very emotional. The love these two have for each other is so palpable it jumps off the page. Then there is the snappy dialogue, which had me grinning like a fool, and laughing out loud quite a few times.

And then there is a pivotal scene that brought tears to my eyes.

This is simply put a must read series that gets better and better!

I love a good story about wanting something even though you know it's probably no good for you. Exclusive Access was a perfect example of this. The balance between the drama and romance was perfect. Can't wait to see what's next in the series!

I honestly don't know what I love more, the romance or the world that its set in. Ms. Tate has a done a wonderful job of creating this underground society that functions almost as if it is above ground, yet everyone knows that it can't last forever or can it?

The Tommy Twister virus that was set loose on the world seven years prior has obilterated all but the toughest structures ever built on the surface and people still hope that there is a way to stop it and move above ground once more.

The 12 men that call themselves The Weathermen aim to do just that. Their priority is to find out who unleashed the virus, stop them and get rid of the virus that caused all of the havoc.

Kane Bannerman is one of those men. He has every reason to be suspicious of Julianne when she shows up at his office wanting a story about the secret teams that he and the others have formed trying to find those responsible for the virus. Julianne used him five years ago and published an article that caused major damage to his reputation and his company's.

Julianne instists that she has changed. And to prove it, she will not publish anything about the teams' existance until she has Kane's approval. Problem is that Kane is beyond pissed about what she did five years ago and she can't forget the fan-tab-u-lus quickie they had in his office.

Kane hasn't forgotten either the betrayal or the hot interlude in his office. Seeing her again has brought both memories to the fore and he decides that he needs to keep her close to make sure she keeps her end of the bargain.

As the teams get closer to finding those reponsible for the virus, Kane and Julianne are determined to make things work both professionally and personally.

The Romance Review

Whiplash, anyone? In EXCLUSIVE ACCESS, Julianne Wallis is a reformed reporter who is determined to get her story from Kane Bannerman. Too bad she screwed him both literally and figuratively when she interviewed him five years ago.

This story did not work as well for me as the last three. I must have been reading too fast because the four good friends is now expanded to a group of twelve Weathermen. In addition, it seems the Weathermen may not be such a covert group. In fact, it seems as if they are an open secret. I must have not been paying close attention with the last three books because the whiplash I'm talking about isn't the light kinky sex in this book. It's because I'm trying to figure out if I missed a book between the last one I read and this one.

These disgruntlements aside, my desire to see more plot movement and more progress on dismantling the Madelaine project is completely unfulfilled. Granted, this series is more about the romance between a Weatherman and a "chosen" female. Unfortunately, my interest is in the geeky computer parts and the sleuthing. I want to take the bad guys down. This deferred gratification is not working for me.

The romance part of this story didn't work at all for me. It's not because the sex sucked or the chemistry didn't work between Kane and Julianne. It's because I didn't like Julianne. Journalism and investigative reporting used to be a respectable field. In today's world, and as it reflects in this story, reporters are biased, lazy and have a selfish agenda they try to push off as "the public's right to know". There is a certain balance which is required between "right to know" and better keep quiet. Ms. Tate does a great job in showing how Julianne violates this balance and continues to think and act like a gossip rag writer. When I have a problem liking a character, it affects how I enjoy the book. As far as I'm concerned, Julianne can be drop kicked off a cliff. For it to take her that long to figure out why keeping the Weathermen's projects quiet shows how lacking in intelligence she possesses.

To be fair, Kane doesn't demonstrate how he can run a multi-billion dollar company. Maybe the point is to show how a man who has so much control loses it all for a woman. For me, it makes Kane seem weak and led by his dick. Whilst I can't agree with how Kane's father treats him, I can understand why Kane's judgment is called in question. Not impressed with Kane.

Overall, this story fell more rushed and disjointed compared to the first three books. Either I didn't pay close enough attention to the worldbuilding in the first three books or Ms. Tate has suddenly expanded the scope of this story by three-folds. Either way, my prediction is that this will take another eight books until I get my answers.

Book #4 is Awesome, Can't wait for more!

Kane has been agonizing for 5 years over Julianne a reporter who he had a quickie in his office with and she was just after a story. When Julianne shows up in his office again he is furious. He wonders how she got by his assistant. She claims to be a legitimate reporter now and wants to get the inside story from him about the special IT groups him and his friends are working to build up. Kane wonders how she would have found out about something that was secret. He craves the feel of Julianne and she isn’t immune to him either. He has to talk to his group of Weathermen to see if they will give her the story but he doesn’t sound promising to her.

Kane and Julianne are drawn to each other and haven’t really been with anyone serious for 5 yrs. I believe they were waiting for each other. Now that they have gotten together again neither wants to let the other go.

This is the 4th installment in the Weathermen series. While series sometimes become repetitious and boring I find that each book gets better than the one before. I am pulled into each story and with each one another member of their group is introduced. In this story we find out there are a total of 12 Weathermen. I can’t wait to see how each of the men finds their significant other as they continue to search for the hackers who have the Madeline Project and created the Tommy Twister Virus. At the beginning of each story is a little bit of background about what has taken place and because of that each book could be read by itself. I recommend reading them in order.

I loved this book. I think these men don’t mess around. When they fall in love they fall hard and fast. They know who they are looking for and once they find that special person they don’t waste any time to make them theirs.

I highly recommend this book.

I'm soooo loving this series. The suspense of finding out who is behind the Tommy Twister virus. With every book we are getting closer. Julianne and Kane have a connection that even betrayal and 5 years can't break. Finding trust and then love and acceptance was not easy but when you add in an angry father you might think it's impossible.
We also get to visit the past characters when we travel to Ace & Harper's wedding. Not even half way through the series so we have a lot of excitement yet to come and I for one can't wait!!!

Five years ago, reporter Julianne Wallis seduced Kane Bannerman to get a story, this time she not only wants more sex, she wants the secret he is hiding in this riveting erotic romance. Ravenna Tate continues to entertain with this fascinating series as she mixes things up with a celebration that includes all the Weathermen and some unexpected twists keeps everyone on their toes and I can’t wait to find out comes happens next.
