I started this series back when AudibleEscape was a thing and wasn't able to finish the series until now. Thank you Scribd for having the box set of these short, hot, shifter romances. I can't wait to read/listen to more.
Raven has returned back to her hometown wearing designer clothes determined to impress her old classmates at the reunion. Only thing is life in New York hasn't been as successful as she would have hoped. So the clothes she's wearing are rentals so at least she can fake it while she's home. However, before she can even arrive inside she breaks her heel but Berch just happens to save the day. Raven's been in love with Berch forever but he never saw her that way till now. Will Raven give up on the city to be with the man she loves?
I like Raven she's a sweetheart who is just trying to survive her reunion she didn't think she would capture the eye of the man she loves. Berch has been in love with Raven since he first met her knowing she was his true mate he just wanted to make sure she had her chance in the city so she wouldn't regret. Now she's back and he's going to capture her heart.
Berch is the third installment in the Winter Valley wolves series. The author has created her own little world for her shifters to live as a community adding her own unique twists to the werewolf concept. I really enjoyed Raven and Berch's story it's sweet yet steamy story about two people who had loved each other for years but didn't think the time was right or the other felt the same way. The characters are great it was easy to connect with you can't help falling for them. With a great story that captures the heart as well as your imagination Berch is another great installment. I enjoyed the author's writing style she tells stories that are hard to put down. I can't wait to read the next installment.
3.75 Stars MINOR SPOILERS THROUGHOUT: I really liked this book. In fact, it is my favorite installment in the series so far. I wish that it would have been longer because I was really enjoying the story. I think it would have made a really good full-length novel. I liked Raven. I wish that I would have gotten to see more of her and learn about her backstory with Berch. I definitely think that it would have been interesting and I would have loved to watch their relationship develop as they grew up. Overall, I enjoyed this installment. One thing that I really like about each installment is getting to see the previous characters and I hope that the Lindholms in the future installments.
Also published at Amazon as FROM WEREWOLF WITH LOVE and part of The Lindholms Trilogy volume.
This is the third SHORT STORY of Winter Valley Wolves and it closes the Lindholm Brothers Trilogy. And although the story has all the ingredients to a great story, some important words were not said, leaving me the feeling that the story could be amazing and it’s not. All said this is not my favorite of the series the author called Mating Season. But at least it leaves an opening for two new romances to be seen next: Ergan and Parker.
Even though I missed something in this story Vaughn’s exciting writing is totally worthy the reading.
This book was different than the previous two books and it was refreshing. And I loved how there was some world building in this book as well. Although there was a part where I didn't think it should have been included, it was wonderful overall. I have loved reading about the Lindholm brothers and I can't wait to continue the series soon.
I was given an ARC of Berch from the author, in exchange for an honest review.
I absolutely love reading Berch, having the girls & boys from the previous books pop in & give advice was a bonus. I was sucked into this story just as quickly as the other 2, & the spat back out at the end.
Raven Lynch has returned to Winter Valley for her High School reunion, her night starts out with a fall & Berch comes to her rescue.... well her Louboutin's & old feelings rise to the surface again. Berch has known Raven was his true mate since he was 3 years old, he knew high school was too soon for her so he waited until the time was right & then she was gone...
Let me say 1 thing about Berch, he is persistant & has so much patience.... Raven & Berch have such an instant connection even after being apart for 5 year. I loved the interractions between all the characters, the rivallry that comes into play, the heat, the wolves.... I want more!
Berch is book 3 in V. Vaughn's "Winter Valley Wolves" series, which in turn is a part of the "Mating Season" pack series. A set of books from 6 authors, 6 different packs & an individuals story on finding their mate. I'm hoping that wasn't the last novella from V. Vaughn's "Winter Valley Wolves" I've really enjoyed what I've read so far & I can't wait to delve into the other authors work in the "Mating Season" series.
Berch: Winter Valley Wolves #3 (The Mating Season, #14) by V. Vaughn
Raven leaves Winter Valley to go to New York. She is looking to land a great job in investment finace, only to land a waitressing job instead. She goes back to Winter Valley for her class reunion. Whats the first thing that happens when she gets there? She falls. What is the second thing that happens? She falls for Berch Lidhholm again. Well, still. She has been in love with Berch since she was a child. They just never got together. Now Berch wants her to go out with him. This just might be getting much better then she thought they would.
Berch has known that Raven was his true mate for years. She had to be ready for the truth before he could say anything, so he let her go. She is back now and he can't let her leave again without telling her. If she doesn't want to stay, he will let her go again, but he is going to try really hard to get her to stay. Her ex-boyfriend from high school is trying to step in though. He wants Raven for a mate too.
Very sweet and romantic shifter story. Going back to your hometown for a class reunion is always stressful. But to go back after being in the big city and not having made it, well it is depressing and scary. For Raven none of her dreams come true and the first step back home seems to prove that it isn’t getting better. But when a crush from her past is there to help her things may start to look up.
3.5 stars. Wow, Berch took a huge risk when he let her go, knowing she was his fated mate too. Esspecially, having her 1st boyfriend also being a wolf shifter too. He could jave bitten her while being her 1st sexual encounter. Why didn't he at least inform her of his interest in her, she may have been more receptive when they were younger to least date. But I guess her ambitions made him believe that he had to let her go and so she may follow her dreams 1st.

I love the concept of the high school reunion bridging the gap and providing a second chance for these two to explore their emotions toward one another. Berch is so patient with her and so supportive. Sometimes back home is the best place to be. Fun read with a bit of steam and a glimpse of the challenges of the life of werewolves.
Short but sweet and sexy. Definitely looking forward to reading more of the series. Love meeting the members of the pack, and continuing to follow the characters already familiar with.
This was a great HEA. Raven thought she needed to go away to find herself and happiness. When in fact she only needed to wait till the time was right get her forever crush and love Berch.
This is the last novella in the Winter Valley Wolves Vol 1 box set which features the Lindholm brothers. Raven dreamed up becoming a financial investor on Wall Street but ended up waitressing tables. With a rented Prada purse and Louboutin heels, she shows up at her high school reunion and scratches the purse and breaks the heel of her shoe. She runs into her old childhood friend and crush, Berch, and he’s way grown up. Berch is a werewolf who’s known Raven was his true mate since they were small children. They were inseparable as kids but grew apart in high school. Now that she’s returned for their high school reunion, he won’t let her go so easily again. Neither will her old boyfriend who won’t take no for an answer. I really liked the book but I think Raven accepted Berch’s werewolf story with too much calm and understanding. She didn’t really freak out as I think most women would. Instead, she took some time to adjust and came to terms with it a little too easily. Well-written in Raven’s 1st POV, the story takes place in about a week and flowed very smoothly. We meet the next couple in the series, Ergan and Kayla, and their story is told in the Winter Valley Wolves Vol 2, the Wakefield brothers. 4 Stars

They've loved each other all their lives, but it's taken Berch and Raven nearly 30 years to get their HEA. With Chocolate. I can't wait for the next one.
These books just keep getting better and better. I loved this short and really sweet story about true mates Berch Lindholm and Raven Lynch. They've loved each other since they were babies, but nerdy werewolf Berch never got around to asking Raven for a date, despite knowing since they were 3 years old that she would be his wife. And then Raven left for New York and a big career in finance. What a disappointment that was. Back in Winter Valley for their High School Reunion, embarrassingly falling flat on her face in the parking lot, the first person she meets is Berch, and he's not taking anything for granted this time. It's time to claim his mate.
'Berch' is written in the first person and entirely from Raven's point of view, but Berch is open and honest with her about his feelings, so I didn't feel like I was missing out on his perspective, and after the first few pages I was so engrossed in the story that I hardly noticed the single perspective at all. This is the third book in the 'Winter Valley Wolves' series by V. Vaughn and I was given a copy by the author in exchange for an honest review. I was hooked from the very first page and really didn't want to put it down. Now I'm eagerly awaiting the next one.
This book is also part of the multi-author Mating Season Collection of paranormal romances based around the theme of the Mating Moon which happens only once each year. All of the books are designed to be stand alone and complete stories with HEA. And absolutely no cliff-hangers.

Raven has come home from New York for her high-school reunion after five years of being away. Falling in the school parking lot and skinning her knee, has Berch coming to her rescue. Raven has always wanted Berch for herself, but he never asked her out during their high school days. Berch knew from the time he was three that Raven was his, and now that she is back in Winter Valley he has a plan to woo her into his life permanently. There is another who wants Raven as his mate and will do anything to make her his.....
WOW/SPECTACULAR fast paced well written creative read by a truly gifted author. The author does not disappoint in giving readers an intriguing plot and amazing characters that keeps you hooked from start to finish. Berch’s devotion for Raven makes him a most valiant hero. The chemistry between Raven and Berch is more that convincing, and their romance is filled with sizzling passion. I absolutely loved this story, a most delightful read. If you treasure shifter romance this is a terrific book for your library. {I was gifted this book and this is my completely honest review}. In the world of shifter romance the possibilities are endless and always fascinating. Without reservation I recommend this book.

Raven Lynch is returning home to Winter Valley to attend her high school reunion. When a chance meeting with her childhood crush takes Raven down a road she didn't think would ever happen. Berch Lindholm thought he had missed his chance at happiness when he let his fated mate slip away and move to New York. Now he finds Raven and will not let her go ever again.
The characters in this story really made the book worth reading. The author created a very smooth flowing story line in the book from start to finish.
This book is for any paranormal romance book lover. This book starts where book 1 leaves off so it is best to read the books in order.

Raven Lynch left Winter Valley for NYC with big plans. Sadly all her plans have gone pearshaped and instead of working at an investment firm she's working as a waitress. When re reunion rolls around she hires herself from designer items and will try and bluff her way past her classmates. She doesn't want them to know she failed her dreams.
When disaster strikes outside Berch comes to her rescue and she falls into the old feeling of comfort and lust around him. They've known each other since they were kids and she always felt safe with him. But she got fed up waiting for him to make a move.
Berch knew Raven was his true mate when he was in kindergarten. He wanted her to see the world and then he would claim her. Only problem was after leaving town for college she never came back. Now she's back and he's done with waiting!!
Persistent thy name is Berch!!!! Lovely characters with a hint of (assumes) non requited love. When Berch and his family secrets are exposed, Raven takes things in her stride quite well, much better than i would!!
Part of the "Mating Season" pack series. 6 books from 6 authors, 6 different packs & all about finding your mate in various ways. Hoping there will be more!!!!
This was such a sweet story. Raven was back home in Winter Valley. She thought she had always wanted a nice job in New York. Will coming home change her mind? She always had a crush on Berch Lindholm. She would always have to stand on the sidelines watching ever other girl get their chance. Now here Berch id giving her some attention.
Berch was this handsome werewolf. When he came into a room every girl stopped and drooled. Berch took noticed that Raven was back in town. No matter how many women flirting with him he only had eyes for Raven. She took his breathe away and he knew she was his true mate.
Raven finds herself in danger. Seems like Berch is not the only one that wants a bite out of Raven. Can Berch save Raven before it is too late?
Berch is going to have to break the news to Raven that he is a werewolf. Berch is the type of person when he sees something he wants he goes for it until it is his. Question is will Raven be ready to except the news of his secret? Can Raven give up on her hopes and dreams of making it big in New York to come back home to a small town like Winter Valley?
Berch is the last of the brothers to get his HEA. his case is a bit different because he knew who his mate was since he was three years old. staying friends with her was always easy. even the saying you have to let go what you love to get it back, fits him. when raven returns, she's doing a hard job of keeping up the appearance that she's successful and has a good paying job instead of a low paying waitress gig. actually she got neither since she's in between jobs. as she returns to winter valley for her high school reunion, she "saved" by Berch. he helps her back up when she fell. raven remembers him fondly, and she certainly doesn't mind how growing up changed him. his touches warm her and secretly she hopes that maybe things can get more heated. Raven has a few things to cope with and the big question will be how she'll cope when Berch tells her how he really feels and for how long and how he knew! another sweet fast read by V vaughn. the last of the brothers is of the market but i'm sure there are more eligible bachelors in Winter valley!
Raven has been away from Winter Valley for years for school and then to find her dream job (which never happened, unless waitressing is a dream) and she regrets retuning without a success story to tell. But when she sees Berch (the one man she has loved her whole life but that never asked her out) she doesn’t care so much about the reason she left or came back. Berch helps her out with a wardrobe malfunction and scraped knee and then asks her out; she’s surprised but agrees, spending the whole reunion with him and then going to the local diner with him and a few friends. The black mark is her ex high school boyfriend showing up and trying to get her to go back with him (so not happening). The date is not as expected but then neither is Berch, he’s a werewolf and she will need to be one too in order to stay with him. Berch’s confession knocks Raven for a loop and now she has some tough decisions to make…what will she choose? Great book, love the mating season collection especially the Lindholm men! **Book received in exchange for an honest review**
This review is from: Berch: Winter Valley Wolves #3 (Kindle Edition)
Raven Lynch returns to Winter Valley for a reunion. She's got a secret though. She's not the success that she would have everyone believe. In her rented designer clothes she comes face to face with the man she fell in love with as a boy, Berch Lindholm, and the old feelings are still there. He's always known she was his true mate and has been waiting for her to come home. But he must convince her that her life isn't on Wall Street, but in the sleepy Winter Valley community with him and the pack. I am gratified that I like each story in the series as much as the last. This is the 3rd book and I enjoyed it as much as the previous two. Interesting characters and a good story line make this a winner. I love that the Berch and his brothers in the previous books are so likeable, hot, & sexy that I was cheering them on, hoping the girls would accept them. I give it 5 stars!
School reunions often reveal things about us we don't want to share. Raven has taken drastic steps to maintain the image of the person she left her small town to become. Nothing seemed to turn out right. Skinned knee, scratched rented purse, broken--yeah you got it--rented heel. However, when old secret flame Berch comes to her rescue not all is bad.
Their reunion begins the relationship she has always wanted. As she spends more time with Berch, he tells her he has something important to share. It is very important. Will his news keep them apart? If she considers his suggestion she stay in town, can she give up her dreams of a career. Is a life with the love of her life enough?
There is someone else who has plans for Raven. Sinister plans. Can Berch protect her?
A good short story that can stand alone with no cliff hanger. The series is about characters from the same town, friends and relatives, but each is complete. I recommend the book, and the audio.
I have been enjoying the series about brothers who are wolf shifters finding their mates.
Raven and Berch were friends since childhood. Raven felt more for Berch than friendship but he never pursued anything with her and she went on to date others and move away. She comes back for her five year reunion and she is not where she hoped to be in her life. She sees Berch and feels very nostalgic and wonders if pursing a career in finance in NYC is really what is best for her. She thought she knew everything about Berch but finds out differently. Berch is a really patient man and he has waited for her to come back to him.
I think they make a great couple. The story of their friendship turning to much more is very nicely done. They have great chemistry. It is a short read. You don't have to read the other two stories to follow along with the story but I do recommend them as well. I received a copy in return for a honest review.
I was given an ARC of Berch from the author, in exchange for an honest review and I have to say the stories are just getting better and better. Berch is book 3 in V. Vaughn's "Winter Valley Wolves" Series and part of The Mating Season Pack Series. This is a stand alone, but it would be better entertaining and informative to read them in order and know all the previous characters like Brindle and Katie from the first book or Bosun and Devon from the second book. These couples are sexy, sassy and very easy to love! In this installment we have Berch Lindholm, he is the youngest of the Lindholm brothers a strong, sexy science teacher and a werewolf that has being waiting the return of his "true mate" Raven Lynch. Read the book to know what happen with Raven and Berch in their High School reunion and after. This was a very sweet story!
