An educated duchess

I really enjoyed this story! It caught my attention from the first few pages until the last. It was interesting to read about how early medicine was developed. It also underscored how limited women, even a duchess, were hindered in reaching their full potential. A nice love story, and also how a lonely, unhappy young boy helped to bring his father and stepmother together. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves the Victorian era.

I Couldn't Put it Down!!!!!

The profound emotional suffering that each character experienced throughout the story genuinely compelled me to keep reading further, eager to discover what would unfold in the chapters ahead!!! Meanwhile, what initially began as a pragmatic marriage of convenience arranged between Anthony and Marina solely for the advantage of William gradually transformed into an unexpected connection that neither of them could have possibly anticipated.

Almost passed this one up. Glad I didn't.

I usually don't enjoy the stories of scarred women. It's just not my thing. But I'm glad I read this one. It is fast-paced and moments of humor, and the FMC knowledge was interesting. Loved how MMC found how to show his love to his son thru his wife's interactions with the boy. A good read.

Not sharing

Not sharing one's efforts or projects can lead to confusion and disappointment. Our Duchess doesn't' t tell her husband about her experiments with plants to create healthy options. And unfortunately, his former wife's secret behavior leads to mistrust on his part.

Sweet

Lovely story about finding love when you least expect it. Also a rude look at how women with career hopes were treated back in the day! Made for a good read!
