Hallucinatory cyberpunk. Meta sci-fi satire. The future is futile.
2083. Meme seeks revenge in Japan and later Mexico, where he is contacted by someone he assumes has been dead for years. Rinchi continues her role as a MercSecure representative, starting first in Baghdad, where she runs into an old foe. Desiring more control over the destiny of the nation, Sauria goes to extreme lengths to intimidate a rival and solidify his power.
The hunt is on.
Part techno thriller, part dystopian science fiction, Life is a Beautiful Thing is a series that questions what it means to be human; a collection of novels that offers a shocking glimpse into a dark future fueled by corporate deceit and high-end intoxicants.
Harmon Cooper is the author of over sixty fantasy works. His bestselling series include Pilgrim, War Priest, Cowboy Necromancer, and Tokens and Towers.

Cyberpunk isn't for everyone. Then toss in loads of demented, gloriously, unashamed non-political correctness, murder, sexual violence, and drugs - well, it really isn't for everyone. But, it is rather fun. If this is your jumping-in point, I suggest an immediate exit and start from the beginning, Kindle Freebie. Otherwise, I fear it will not make a damn bit of sense.
Below are spoilers only if you haven't read the first two books.
Okay, So we know Yeshi and Meme have made it thus far together; surviving Japan and being effectively "dead". They don't slow down continue their fight against ExEx and the FCG. Rinchi has already done some major damage as a new MercSecure Representative , not to mention really pissing off their top assassin. She is a wild card, but her results are well received.
In Book Three, Meme and Yeshi continue their fight and relationship - and catch a special moment, which I'll leave at that. Rinchi is out in Baghdad protecting a Saudi prince with whom she shares a bit of history. To say she is less than thrilled is an understatement, and if you know Rinchi, well....She is still ruthless, and effective, and even picks up a semi-ally while in the dirt.
Sauria plays a bigger role in this tale and there are some compelling events in his path. Noah, Rebel, and Nelly also fit into the storyline, and Meme is still complaining about his body! And of course, pollutes. Oh, we have anal feeding, so that is a bonus. In all, it was a fun continuation of the storyline. I received an ARC from the author for review.
There are three specific bits I'd love to include in this review, but that wouldn't be cool for readers so I'll just end here. Have fun.
The third in the series and, from the start, I should say I received a free copy of this book.
This story is much easier to follow than the first one, perhaps due to the fact Meme doesn't spend so much time out of his head. Or it could just be that I am used to the style now. I'm not going to give away the plot, but it concerns the usual protagonists - Yes; you do need to read the first two for it to make sense - and a few twists on what you'd expect.
On the whole a very enjoyable and reasonably short read. There are some formatting errors, but this may have happened during the conversion to Kindle format. However, a couple of times the author had a correct spelling for a different word (steal instead of steel, IIRR). Then there was "wallah" at one point; I'm prepared to accept this as a corruption of "voila" at the time the story is set (generous to a fault) but it did grate on me!
That said, I would recommend this to anyone who has read the first books in the series.
Harmon Cooper takes you to the year 2083 ... through technology, hallucinatory drugs called "pollutes", and Humandroid Escorts/Personal Assistants that do more that just meet your needs; you fall in love with them. Sex, drugs. technology and hyper-violence, all in a gritty, dark future where governments are corporate run, and any body part is replaceable, or modifiable. This series of books (One, Two and Three) will leave you wanting MORE, MORE, MORE!! Harmon, you're one talented writer. Book four (September, 2015) feels too far away. I'M HOOKED. Cyber-punk Heaven
Loving this series and the characters. The story continues as only something containing Harmon Cooper's imagination can - extreme, graphic, violent, drug-addicted, sexual, hallucinatory scenes that are so real that they make you think you are having them!
Don't read any of this series if you are in any way offended by any of the above. If you are not, come in and join the fun! Great stuff!
I got this in exchange of an honest review, it was very interesting to read, nice flow of events, characters were charming and intriguing I was surprised a lot
Kindle Unlimited, This writer has serious 'issues', reviews are reader's way of saying ya need help sparky, just wait and write some more first.
