Jake Jeffries is a wolf shifter in search of the other half of his soul. Literally. He's travelling the country with his pack of friends in search of the one to call his, as part of a rite of passage.
He is also quite possibly the single most charming, intelligent and gorgeous person to ever walk into Harper's life recently. Which is exactly what she needs, because the day leading up to meeting him was one she would rather forget. Broken mirrors and crumpled fenders were the start, but her luck managed to cap it all off with a declined mortgage.
Of course, that all happened before the campground she owned burnt to the ground. Five years of her life, down the drain because some idiot forgot to pour water on a campfire. When she flees her burning dreams, desperate for a drink to numb the pain, she runs right into Jake.
Things couldn't possibly be this easy for him, could they? Did his mate really just walk in, throwing open the door to the bar, and his heart?
But despite their bond, Jake hasn't told Harper everything, and when she finds out, it could burn everything he's worked to build between them.

Jake is looking for his mate, so he and some single wolf go out on a quest to look for a mate. They stop at a small town and after eating they see the campsite they were staying at in burning down. Harper his mate owns the campground but luck hasn't been on her side so she goes out for a drink where she meets jake but she isn't sober enough to remember him. when they meet back up they are walking through the burned camp and he notices something which causes them to fight. Jake know what he needs to do to get her back so he recruits his friends into helping. This is your typical human/shifter book she runs away when she finds out but I thought it was cute that jake tried his hardest to convince him they belong together. The book was okay but it leaves you wanting to read the rest of the series to see if they find their mates.
I love Terra wolf and Amelia Jade’s books. They do such an amazing job. They are truly creative when it comes to writing. You always think about how if a shifter has the magic and ability to shift why can’t they use that magic to make their clothes to disappear or to hide when they shift. Thanks guys loved the route you took on this.
Jake Jefferies and his friends are on a quest looking for their true mate. During this journey they are staying at a Muller Lodge & Campground when it burned down to the ground. He never dreamed during this time he would meet his mate. The shock it must have been to find out she was a human. It was very rare for a human and a shifter to mate. I love how he did not hesitate to jump in and be her protector. He would do anything to easy her burden, hurts, and fears.
Harper Muller owner of Muller Lodge & Campground was a beautiful plus size woman. She was very strong willed and worked hard to build the campground from the ground up. Ever since the moment she had woke up that morning everything had been going wrong. Now everything she worked so hard for was gone. How would she pick up the pieces of her life.
Reading shifter books you find different ways shifters discover their mate. I love the approach that these authors took. It was a pull that was so strong that you could feel it from the top of your head to the souls of your feet. Something you felt deep within. Jake did not get to choose his mate, his wolf is the one that got to choose. Jake’s wolf saw something in Harper that make her worthy to be chosen to be Jake’s mate. Problem is her being a human how will she take to finding out Jake is a shifter? Can she accept who he is or will she judge him? The two of them had somethings in common. Both were longing for someone to love and both knew what it was like to be judge. Loved Jake and Harper’s story.
I loved the concept and the characters were likable, but I found the storyline could have been stronger and it lacked depth. I loved that Jake and Harper had a strong connection but I found their relationship to be weak. I really wanted to love this book as it had alot of potential but I didn't. It was a ok read!
This story line was very B-movie I thought the characters were poorly portrayed, the male overly kind, the female totally scatter brained, not an enjoyable read. Sorry
This book was different but lovely it flowed very well as the story line unfolded, the characters in the story became closer to each other the bond grew. Good read recommend it to everyone.
Harper owns a secluded campground outside a small town. A pa co of wondering wolf shifters led by Jake set up camping, hosting around, decide to get a meal, and afterwards go for run in the nearby forest. That was the plan anyway, but when they got back, a fire nearly destroyed the campground.
Harper's dream is destroyed. However, she will rebuild no matter how long it takes. The fire marshal finds out it started in Jake's campsite. Jake quickly realizes this and that Harper is his mate. Jake and his pack have been wondering a long time and don't have a territory to call home; Jake learns that Harper doesn't have the financial resources to rebuild, but he does.
The storyline is strong, fast-paced, and intriguing. The relationship between Jake and Harper is full of tension, changing tempers, humorous misunderstanding as they fall in love. This story is charming. I highly recommend this unusual story that is different from the norm.
Such a lovely book. Enjoyed reading this so much. Jake is extremely attractive and such a great guy, while Harper is the epitome of the strong female but still very vulnerable. So it is no understatement to say expect fireworks when these two get together. I am so looking forward to know more about the other brothers. I was gifted this copy by the author.
I really enjoyed reading this story. Harper's reaction to meeting Jake's wolf was so realistic, as well as a little sad and humorous. I also liked the concept that if a shifter doesn't meet its mate by the time they are 35 then they destined to be alone. It was a unique taken on a shifter story. I am looking forward to reading more by this author.
This was another great short story by Terra Wolf. I like the shorter story form as it can be read in one night but is still long enough that the characters, the setting and storyline are well developed. If you enjoy shifter stories I recommend you read this series as it very good in my opinion.
No...just no. The male lead, Jake, had some great qualities. The female lead - Harper - sucked. The overall writing wasn't great, and the fated mate trope was a BIG stretch, even among books with the same theme. With the lack of editing and the insta-sexual 'connection', I couldn't take anymore at the 65 percent mark. DNF.
Got this as an arc for an honest review. I really enjoyed Ethan & Joanna's story. Ethan can protect me any day. Ha. This was a new series & author for me. Looking forward to reading more in the next book. Thomas is an interesting character...still trying to figure him out...
I was given a free copy of this book from the author for an honest review. This book was awesome. The storyline was amazing. i highly recommend this book.
