I write emotionally intense romance across a range of settings — dark MC brotherhoods, small-town trauma stories, fairy tales rewritten with teeth, and contemporary romance with a critical eye on society. Based in Germany, I publish both in German and English, bringing my stories to readers on both sides of the Atlantic.

My Rating: ★★★★½

Okay, apparently starting a 170-page book at 8pm was a perfectly reasonable decision because Seven Sins by Katlyn S. Coen lasted LESS THAN AN HOUR in my hands.

Less. Than. An. HOUR.

I absolutely fucking INHALED this book.

And then I reached the end, stared at that cliffhanger and immediately questioned why I keep allowing authors to treat me like this.

Katlyn.

Ma'am.

AGAIN?!

The problem with reviewing Seven Sins is that I genuinely can't tell you much without ruining things because you absolutely need to read Book One first.

And honestly?

DO THAT.

Because if you love dark MC romance, found family, morally questionable bikers and relationships that make you reconsider whether your fictional standards should perhaps concern you slightly...

This series deserves your attention.

One of the things that completely got me in Seven Sins was the developing family dynamic.

Give me a dangerous man who insists he doesn't do soft and then put a tiny child in his orbit.

That's it.

You've got me.

There is something about watching a man who never pictured himself as husband or father material become increasingly attached to a woman and her kid that apparently scratches a VERY specific part of my brain.

Ronny might be perfectly comfortable existing in his dangerous outlaw MC world, but apparently a fearless two-year-old is where we're going to discover his weakness.

And I fucking loved it.

The found family element continues to be one of the biggest reasons I'm invested in this series. Underneath all the danger, questionable decisions and morally grey behaviour is this fierce sense of loyalty and protection that makes you become attached to the entire group rather than just the romance.

But don't mistake those softer moments for this suddenly becoming a cute little MC romance.

Absolutely fucking not.

Seven Sins gets DARK.

There are some incredibly heavy themes throughout this one, particularly involving violence and harm to children, so PLEASE read the trigger warnings before jumping in.

And somehow Katlyn manages to pack ALL OF THIS into 170 pages without making it feel like I'm being dragged through the story at warp speed.

Clearly, considering I demolished the entire thing in under an hour.

If you've already read Book One and you're wondering whether you should continue?

YES.

If you're discovering this series for the first time and love dark MC romance, morally grey men, protective MMCs, found family, forced proximity, age gaps, danger, complicated heroines and men discovering they might actually have a soft side despite their best efforts?

Start with Book One and prepare yourself.

Because apparently once Katlyn S. Coen gets her claws into you, she has absolutely no intention of letting go.

Seven Sins picks up right where Poison Apple leaves off, starting with a bang.

This book is a wild, fun ride. While it was clear there was something between Annika and Ronny in book one, their relationship truly blossoms in book two, and the spice is definitely spicing.

As much as I adore Ronny and Annika’s romance, the dynamic that steals the show is Finn and Ronny, or “Wonny” as Finn calls them. They’re absolutely adorable together. Despite tackling some heavy themes, the standout moment is Finn realizing he’s just like Ronny—purely heartwarming.

Annika’s story about her scars is jaw-dropping, and both she and Ronny carry their share of trauma.

That ending—seriously, what was Ronny thinking? Am I the only one who wonders why we let authors do this to us? If you’re into dark MC romance, forced proximity, age gaps, protective MMCs, and found family, this book is a must-read.

I received an advance copy of this book at no charge. This is my honest, voluntary review.
Ronny and Annika's relationship is honestly a little unhinged, but I am here for it. This series is fast paced and packed.
This one had one hard scene for me to read, so double check triggers.
