I was so excited to read this book and it did not disappoint. After I started it I couldn’t stop and ended up staying up all night, which I don’t regret in the slightest, it was the best night I’ve spent in a long time. It was a real page-turner! I loved the characters, it’s always hard to say a favorite but I particularly liked Joe, and Alan Duncan was a nice character; and I could feel everything the characters were feeling and wince for the brothers when their mistakes played out, and I stayed hooked to the end. It’s the kind of story where you get thoroughly engrossed in everything and hate to pull away from it. And it was so cool how much sense everything made in the context of the characters’ time period and their story. I am just so happy with this tale and awed at how well done it was! I’m only sorry it’s over, but will eagerly return to it for re-reads!
