5"Endless Sky" STARS

I'm a wreck after this one. Such a beautifully emotional read. I absolutely love the Colhurst-Decker clan and Ms. Burgoa keeps me falling for them!

This third book in the series was about Jacob Christian (JC), the eldest triplet, and Pria Walker, a young woman he meets in the bookstore at college.

 photo Uncharted1_zps8bvsw58t.jpg

This story was such a wonderfully, gut-wrenching surprise to me. It was not what I expected. I knew from Unlike Any Other and even more so from Unsurprisingly Complicated that JC had some inner demons but I had no clue just how bad it was and just how deep.

The story starts with JC, merely an adult, at 18 and as sexy as ever. I loved this description of Jacob - "...he's the ripping-your-clothes, making-you-come-with-one-stare kind of guy."

His first encounter with Pria has him sprouting all kinds of foolish, romantic nonsense. He's taken with her and these two abandon all responsibility and spend one wildly, wonderful and unforgettable week together.

It's young love and the two of them are filled with hopes and dreams. The world is at their fingertips. At the end of this week, Pria must face her overbearing mother and the heavy responsibilities and burdens placed upon her. Both JC and Pria part in the belief that they will see each other again, soon. Unfortunately, their beautiful dreams scatter with the wind and it's years before they actually speak to one another again.

During this time apart, life happens and they both face loss, setbacks and disappointments. JC and Pria handle the hands their dealt differently. Pria is a brilliantly strong and heartwarming character and she truly demonstrates strength of spirit.

JC suffers a lot and is stuck. While a rock star that should be on top of the world, he turns to alcohol and one-night stands to numb it all...

...very similar to AJ.

Through these dark times, Ms. Burgoa has this gift for conveying the mood so easily with her words. I recall at first, having a hard time connecting with AJ because she was numb but as soon as she exposed herself, I fell in love. Likewise, while each of these stories have been drastically different, Ms. Burgoa is able to readily capture the emotion and the reader can't help but be consumed by the feelings. This story covers the broad spectrum of feelings from love, friendship,

heartbreak, anger, loss, forgiveness

and of course, that powerful sense of family.

 photo uncharted2_zpsgg5wyhpx.jpg

When Jacob and Pria finally reconnect. They still have to navigate many obstacles - the biggest one of all is Jacob - to find their way back to one another.

I lost myself in Jacob and Pria, much like I did with the other books.

 photo uncharted3_zpshx9qgxpz.jpg

I can't say enough about how much I adore this series and these characters. As I read these stories, I feel like I'm part of this family (okay, so I wish I was too ;) and can't help but swell with the love and loyalty that this group have for each other.

This is not a standalone, to truly understand the story and characters you must read the first two books before this one. If you've not read this series or this author, I strong recommend that you do. If you love books that creep up on you and steal your heart, then you'll love this series!!

I seriously can't wait for Mattie's book. I may be reading too much into it but I think Ms. Burgoa left us a few bread crumbs as to the direction of his story. Whether my hunch is right or not, I'm anxiously awaiting Uncut!

I am a bit biased when it comes to Ms. Burgoa because all of her books knock me off my feet and tackle all of my emotions. She has the ability to take a small twist in a story and blow it up to where you will find yourself wondering what the hell just happened.

She got me again on this one and just when I thought something was going to happen to knock me to my knees, she surprised me with something else.

Damn, this is why I love reading all of Ms. Burgoa's books!!

From the very beginning of "Unlike Any Other" Jacob has been a favorite of mine and I couldn't wait for his story ---- after meeting Pria, I knew these two would be sending sparks flying at each other.

What started out as a sweet and innocent flirting as young adults, turned into the raw desire and love as adults.

What a fantastic story but just make sure you start at the beginning to get the full effect of the family.

4 'angst-ridden' stars

Uncharted is full of angst and put me through the wringer for almost the entire read. I am emotionally exhausted from all the highs and lows of Jacob Decker's life.

First of all, I should really learned my lesson for not reading the series according to sequence. Please be warned that you will be lose with the entire Decker Family dynamic, the key characters names/alias and their relationships. I think I spent a quarter of the book trying to figure out who is who.

I was fooled in the beginning of the story when I met the sweet guy, Jacob Decker, who is full of dreams and aspiration. He met Pria and was smitten with her on first sight. I even swooned over his horrible pick up lines.

"It's written in the stars. You and I are it. Destined to be together - forever."

They have a wonderful whirlwind romance for a week before a series of unfortunate events torn them apart. What follow next is a never ending load of angst that drove me cuckoo.

Ten years later, when fate allow Pria and Jacob's path cross again they are no longer who they used to be. There is nothing left of the sweet boy that Pria fell in love with. Cue more angst to commence when Jacob is dealing with shitload of anger, bitterness, guilt, resentment and loss in his life.

"I met her back when we both had dreams and believed we could take on the world, and now we both are a couple of ghosts floating with no direction."

I had to give it to Claudia Burgoa for crafting such a three dimensional and thought provoking story even though I'm so mad with so many things. I felt that Jacob's issue that causes all these angst was drag on for too long. I would definitely appreciate if it get settle much earlier. There is a moment that I was worried the HEA is not worth all the heartache I went through, but surprisingly it did. Thank God for that. I will definitely be reading the next book because well... I need to see more of their future after being tortured through their whole story.

Recommended for those who enjoy a healthy dose of angst and don't mind that 'reality hurts'.

"I only need one more chance,
Let me love you until the end of time."

4.5 ★

This is a first Claudia read for me and this is another situation where I'm glad I got the opportunity to read her stuff.

Talk about a thousand feels!!! and by that, I mean heart getting squished throughout the story... sigh...

This is the 3rd book in the series, I haven't read the first 2 and I felt that was ok. I'm sure my reading experienced would've been enhanced if I read in sequence but I don't think it took anything away.

This is Jacob's and Pria's journey to getting to their HEA.

Jacob and Pria met in their late teens. Jacob, yet unjaded, talked with the earnestness of an 18-yr old boy with Pria. Pria, on the other hand, burdened with responsibilities too early in life, was cautious and unable to grab life by the horn until she met Jacob.

"You're an entire song about to be written, a song I'll play for eternity, Twinkle."... "Can you hear the notes? As your soul touches mine, we create sounds that become music as we move. Our melodies will transcend the stars, they'll remain in what you called the never-ending sky."

...Every strum of his guitar, every word he recites caresses every cell of my body, as if feathery kisses are showering my sould as he captures my heart with the sound of each note...

In a matter of days, I suppose their fate has been sealed. An emotion-filled weekend that was meant to be more ended up being just that due to circumstances. They both have to move forward given their choices, or lack thereof. Things happen, other people get involved, they grow up... sigh...Yet, have they really moved on?

From young love to star-crossed love in mere moments, it then moved to being second-chance love, a fave trope. With the history they have, there's much to know and learn, much to understand, much to heal... sigh...

From the first moment Jacob started spouting his cheesy lines, I was hooked. Only young love can evoke such emotion, I tell ya! As he got older, he morphed into this artist with a tortured soul and I couldn't have been any more enamored. And my heart just broke for Pria. I agree, she could've turned into a bitter person because of all the things she's had to deal with but no, she still ends up being the lightness to Jacob's darkness. She remained honest to her feelings and grateful for what she had.

And Claudia's writing is just pure poetry. I can't explain it any other way.

If you're looking for a good angst-y read, look no further. I know I'll be turning to Claudia's books when I'm in that mood.

Sigh... I'm telling you, these emotions just won't leave me... I think imma need a few days to shake em off... thanks, Claudia, thanks! *insert sarcastic but grateful tone* HAH!

English Review

I finished reading this book six days ago. Since then, I try to write my review, but I couldn’t. I rarely had such a reaction after reading a novel. I now know what a book hangover is.

As Unlike Any Other and Unsurprisingly Complicated, Uncharted can be read as a standalone. However, reading these books in order as a series tracks the evolution of the characters and we thus better appreciate this novel.

This volume is devoted to the story of Jacob and Pria. The narration is done by double POV as the first two books.

The two previous couple had difficulties finding their HEA, but to Jacob and Pria, it is more than that. Anyone could collapse facing such problems, but here we have a couple of fighters.

I used all my handkerchiefs reserves by reading this book! It addresses topics not necessarily easy (illness, accident…), and the author writes extremely well all that! Go ahead, it’s a serial that you need to read!

Classified informations Uncut Volume 4: It concerns the 3rd triplet MJ. It should be out in November and narration will be in 3 POV (I’m curious and I look forward to know more !)

☆ I received an RC via the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!! ☆

I'll be the first to say, that before you go into this book, it would be best to get the full experience and 411 of all the characters by reading from bk1.

That all said, Uncharted pretty much indicated what was yet to come in this series. Traveling into uncharted waters in life and with these characters.

No one truly knows what's in store for them, as everyday and time is a learning process of trial and tribulation, and this read captured it completely.

With the two main leads, Jason and Pria, being so young and quite inexperienced to life and love, it was a fulfilling journey although even if it was at times tough.

I really felt in synch with all of the characters, their plights and their emotions.

Definitely, a recommended read for all!!

" Since the first time I laid eyes on you, our souls entwined with each other. They interweaved together like the roots of a redwood tree's grasp onto the ground."

"Life is about how you look at it, how you fell, and your attitude toward it."

I immensely loved it!!! This is the first novel I have read by Claudia Burgoa.
Uncharted is an exceptionally written story with the right elements that will take you to the heights of finding your soulmate and having them ripped apart from you.
The setting of the novel begins at UW where MJ an JC are seniors. This is where Jace and Pria's story begins at the campus bookstore.
The Universe brings them together only to tear them apart.
Perhaps the Universe had a different stratagem for both of them before it decides to intervene?
Is there hope for Jace and Pria? Do first loves or true soulmates every find there way back and able to stand the test of time after so many years apart?

Sometimes without knowing our own promises made to others in life keep us bounded to a non-existent entity and unable to move on. We end up living in misery when in reality Life is about the choices we make and how we handle and respond to the outcome.
We either make the best of it and live life to the fullest or live a miserable stubborn existence.
I thought for sure their paths would cross at certain points in the story. No matter how hard they tried to find each other something always kept them apart.
I fell in love with Jace's and Pria's story.
The growth and development of the relationship between Jace and Pria is outstanding.
The trials, errors, compromises and sacrifices they both encounter. Jace and Pria have this picture-perfect of how a relationship should be, but every relationship is work.Through it all we have to make the final decision and make choices in life.
Author’s writing skills are powerful. She is able to lure you in slowly and seize you page after page.
So many gripping twist in the plot. An extensive well written novel. Characters are perfectly written throughout the story.
Without reservation, I wholeheartedly recommend this book..
(After I finished reading this novel went to Amazon and purchased the whole series.)

This series just keeps getting better and better with each story. I swear, the emotions have gotten more intense. I thought Mason's story was heart wrenching, but poor JC...he went through so much that it jaded him for such a long time. And Pria?? That poor girl had so much responsibility and loss thrown at her and seeing how she got through it all was a testament to her strength and character. She was one tough cookie.

Both Pria and JC had such an instant connection that after a short period of time, they were the unforgettable love for each other. Misunderstandings and unfortunate circumstances caused a rift in those dreams for a future but years later fate showed that she had plans for them. They needed to evolve into who they are now in order for them to be able to make those dreams a reality.

Uncharted was a GREAT story about second chances. And as with the other stories so far in this series, the sense of family with the triplets and their parents as well as the bond that the triplets share is so inspiring and, at time, enviable. They are a strong family unit and their support for each other is just the sweetest thing- ever.

I am anxiously waiting for MJ's story. I have a feeling his is going to top the rest. I'm curious how his playboy ways will be affected.

WOW! Lots of feels...crying, laughing, the whole gamut! What I love about this series is that each book has had it's own distinct feel to it. Burgoa doesn't "cookie-cutter" it, to use a term from the book. LOL.

From the beginning, "Unlike Any Other", we knew there was going to be a JC story. In "Unsurprisingly Complicated", we knew JC's story wasn't a happy one. I mean, how could it be when Burgoa eluded to his occasional binge drinking and preference for one-night stands. In "Uncharted" we learn the details and they were a bit gut-wrenching. Burgoa really tears the reader up in so many ways and not just with JC. I cried a lot in this one. Imagine returning to my desk from my break with red-rimmed eyes and wet streaks down my face...Christ on a cracker!

To say I loved Jace and Pria as well as the continuing story lines of all the Colthurst-Decker-Bradleys would be an understatement. And I absolutely can't wait for Matty's story in "Uncut". I think we may have gotten one clue as to who MJ is...I'm waiting to see if I am right. I'd hate to spoil anything and if I'm right it will be HUGE!!

I can't believe my review didn't post! Grrr! I've done it last week. Anyway...

Hope. Love. Angst. Heartache. Loss. Second Chances. This is by far my favorite of the series! A roller coaster ride of emotions. Miss Burgoa surely knows how to make her readers experience what her characters are feeling.

A love story, 10 years in the making! They needed the time to learn, grow, and better themselves. The tragedies they faced, made them better people. They learned to let go, and because of all of that, they were able to love themselves and each other.

I certainly had a book hangover with this one. Now, I can't wait to read Mattie's story!

Merged review:

Stargazing will never be the same...

Jacob Christian's book. I finally know his story! 10 years of love, loss, and lust. Behind everything though, the Colthurst-Decker family is always there to support each other. Now on to Mattie's book... Soon!

Wow…Wow…Wow ! Uncharted by Claudia Burgoa took me by complete surprised. I was captivated, mesmerized, and a hostage of this book. I could not put it down. I loved every moment of this book. It was a powerful story of two young people’s life journey from being naive college freshmen to cynical adults that had experienced too much and not enough along the way. They both have went from searching for rainbows and chasing unicorns to dancing in the darkest storm waiting for lightening to strike. The only thing that has kept them semi glued together is their families. For one it was their curse in life. For the other it was their only anchor in turbulent times. Their precious memory of their young love wasn’t enough to hold onto hope. Their paths will cross once again and both of these people will find a new meaning to love, life , and happiness. It’s not what they dreamed of or what they thought it should be. Their new path was exactly what they needed. This time around they have life experience to draw upon and new dreams to follow.

Jacob…

Jacob Colthurst-Decker is one of the three Decker triplets. He has never had to do anything alone in his entire life. His unusual family is strong, solid, loving, and encompassing. His parents careers have kept him and his siblings sheltered and hidden from the world. At eighteen he and his brother are venturing into the world on their own. Their sister chose to go to another college and start her life adventure on her own. For Jacob and Mathew, they are biding their time in college before they pursue their musical careers they have dreamed of all their lives. College is the opportunity to expand their horizons, get acquainted with the opposite sex and have sex. It’s all about the beer, sex, and fun.

Jacob meets Pria in line while buying books for their first semester. It is love at first sight. He is intrigued with her dark beauty and proclaims they are going to get married, have a golden retriever named Max, and two children; one named Gabrielle.

That is the start of a beautiful star crossed love that enraptures both Jacob and Pria. Their short romance spirals out of their control. The world butts in and tears them apart.

Pria is forced to withdraw from school and return home to take care of her sick sister.

Jacob and Pria spend one week together in each others arms. They have an enchanted week that will forever touch their hearts. They will find magic in the stars shining brightly on their love with the promise of unicorns & rainbows in the future. The give their bodies and souls to one another. They make promises to keep their relationship alive once Pria leaves for home.

Jacob and Mathew are forced to leave school when they are almost exposed to the media. In a panic Jacob sets out to find Pria before he is forced home. The results will forever change his life and send him in a downward spiral for ten years.

This bright and shining boy will become a resentful, hateful man that no longer cares about himself, his family, or life in general.

Pria…

Pria has lived in the shadow of her sick sister all her life. She was forced into home schooling and seclusion because of her sister’s illness. When the opportunity to attend college presents itself, she is running as fast as she can. She wants to have a life that is her own and not overshadowed by illness, pending death, and a controlling mother.

College is more than the opportunity to get an education. It’s the opportunity to live life. A life of her own. She wants to experience everything she has missed out on. When she meets Jacob in line at the book store, she is almost afraid to open up and start a new friendship. Her mother is already starting in on her to return home.

Jacob is charming and has a way of drawing Pria out of her shell. He shows her the beauty of life, music, and romance. He steals her young heart. When her sister’s health begins to decline she is forced to return home to help with her care. This time it does not seem so bad because Jacob has promised he will be there for her and that their relationship doesn’t have to end because of distance.

Pria quickly learns that promises are made and promises are easily broken. Her young heart will be shattered by this. It will change her outlook for years to come. She will become her mother’s dream child. She will live someone elses dream. She will experience heartache, death, loss, pain, and still be tied down by her family’s chains. She dreams of escaping these chains one day but the only escape will be another death. Another loss.

In another heartbreaking day Pria will have to give up one thing she loves the most but will gain something else. She will make a friend that is very special. This friend will change her life. This friend will bring back the promise of hope and happiness. This friend will bring her back in the path of the Colthurst-Decker family once again. She will once again be a part of Jacob’s life. This time she is a different person. Jacob is a different man. Can they find that they love the new people they have become or was their young love rainbows & unicorns? Are they star crossed lovers or is their love written in the stars?

This book was an amazing journey. After I finished this book I had to go and buy the first two books in the series. The family dynamics in this series is astounding. The triplets themselves are intriguing. They have their own special way of communicating with each other. They have their own language. They are an integral part of each other. Watching these three grow and learn to become individuals on their own paths has been an incredible journey. Their famous parents are one of the most stable, loving, supportive, as well as protective role models that truly guided their children and taught them the true meaning of family. It was refreshing to see a stable home life / family life in an unusual environment. Their lives are very complicated and in many ways deceptive. They never took the the easy road and met the road blocks head on. How they handled their lives and family issues was admirable.

Claudia Burgoa is an extremely talented writer. She delivered an emotional story that will touch any reader that opens her books.

Uncharted can be read as a stand alone novel. I started out with this book but became so mesmerized by this family that I had to go back and read the first two books. It has been a powerful reading experience.

I can’t wait for Mathew’s book, titled Uncut.

The Unexpected Series has become one of my 2015 Favorite series.

This family! Love them so much. I love reading each of their stories. About the triplet life. Having two loving parents who just happen to be the same sex. And of course, how , and with whom they fall in love. This series is so good and so well written that I know this won't be my last time reading about them. So if your looking for a recommendation on if you should read this from the beginning, then the answer is YES! Yes you really should!

Jacob

As a rule, men don’t grow up believing in a happily ever after. We don’t believe in meeting the love of our lives; or the white picket fence, and 2.5 children. Every man thinks that those stupid dreams or fantasies are just nonexistent shit until it happens to them. We should have been forewarned.

I wish I was prepared for someone to appear in my life and change all my priorities. I suddenly wanted that fence and children. The part of meeting the love of my life became very real, but I wasn’t ready for suddenly losing it all, and my life plummeting into this shithole forever.

The heartbreak of losing your soulmate is one of the worst pains you will ever live with. I should campaign and warn the young people. Vaccinate against love because if you lose it, you could lose yourself for the rest of your life. The burden on your back will forever mark you and wither away your soul, darkening your days and the rest of your natural life.

This isn’t false advertisement or a dramatic display of one bitter soul.

Pria

I fought by my mother's side until her last breath, and tried to help my father until his last memories dissipated. My sister is the last one standing, but her life is a miracle that can end at any given moment. All my life I’ve never been alone, but always felt lonely.

Today, my options on how to live my life are endless, yet my heart and my best friend limit them. Stay in Seattle, close to the one person that will never let me inside his world.

The thug, as mom would've called him. A man with a bad boy attitude and a heart bigger than the ocean.

“My heart beats fast, as fast as he can strum his guitar when he’s playing a solo at a concert. I’m such a groupie. Expectantly, I watch him. My glance lands on his full, delineated lips and wait for him to say something.”

5 musical stars!!! Ugh Jacob, Jacob, Jacob…...I love him!

Pria and Jacob have a stormy past. They had a whirlwind love story, and then it all fell apart and left Jacob jaded. He didn’t love anymore and he didn’t want to love anyone ever again. He’s a player and that’s the way he wants to keep it. And then Pria shows back up in his life and throws his whole life through a loop!

To say that I loved this book would be a HUGE understatement. This book is beyond any words. And Jacob has been my favorite since I started reading this series. I honestly can’t even put any more words together, because I have none. This series, this book, these characters, Claudia... all make me so giddy!! Absolutely one of my all time favorite series!!

I cried for Jacob throughout this book. He will have you feel so so much. What he goes through and how his journey into living again is just so so amazing and heartfelt and will really just tug at you.

Jacob starts out as this sweet precious wonderful boy who has dreams and is wide eyed. He falls in love with a wonderful girl who has dreams but also feels like he does and that he is shadowed by others. They have this beautiful week together and after that they both in their own ways fall apart. Jacob tries to find her and has a crushing experience that buries him in guilt and has him wanting to walk away from everything and everyone. His family is why he stays with us. So bone crushingly sad is Jacob that you truly feel his pain.

The writing of Jacob’s pain is so real and heartfelt. You feel what he feels and live in the moments with him. I truly believe he never comes out until Pria comes back. And even than he has guilt and pain because of a promise he made a lifetime ago when he was a teenager trying to survive and for him it really was him trying to survive.

Jacob struggles with himself and his choices. Pria is what helps him come back and his family is so amazing and wonderful throughout. His brother is a goofball but a sweet goofball. AJ just as snarky and pushy and Mason is the protector. All hope that Jacob comes back and it is Pria who helps bring him alive again.

He starts to dream and write but still struggles with guilt and trying to keep himself loyal. When you read the promises he made your heart will shatter for this man who in so many ways is just a lost boy looking for someone to put him back together.

This is the amazing, emotionally powerful journey of Jacob and Pria but mainly Jacob. Of how they found each other and when fate steps in to have them walk different paths what happens to them. In a way each loses their dreams and become something else. The story of how once again fate intervenes and brings them together to help each other heal and how they become each others souls again. How together they are an amazing force that brings life and love to the other but they still need to walk alone before they can be together. They need to find themselves and their strength before they can be together again. It is the heartfelt and beautiful story of their love and how it saves them from themselves and saves their dreams and keeps hope alive. The book will draw you into this beautifully sad and romantic world that is jacob and pria and captivate you and your heart until the very end. Miss Burgoa has the power in her words to draw you into the book but it is her stories and the beauty of them that keep you reading and wanting more. They emotionally invest you into the characters and never let you go. You will cry, laugh, smile and experience the gamut of emotions as you hope these two truly heal and come together.

Oh JC. What are we going to do with you?

I’m moving ahead of myself.

I started Uncharted immediately after finishing Unsurprisingly Complicated. We are moving from AJ’s story into JCs, but we still have all of our characters that we have grown to love, the triplets’ parents, Mason, the triplets themselves, and now Pria.

I didn’t realize how messed up JC was becoming until Unsurprisingly Complicated. There were quite a few hints (or blaring neon signs) in the 2nd book of the series that things were not all hunky dory for him. I just had no clue how much had gone on in his life that had brought him to this point.

Then there is Pria, poor Pria with the weight of the world on her shoulders. This is another strong, easy to empathize with character in this series.

Claudia’s characters are so complexly developed, they have so many layers. Even when they are doing something stupid and you want to smack them across the head, you still are able to understand where this behavior is coming from. It’s not superficial, we have a deep understanding of our characters.

If you had asked me before I finished this book, which book in the series was my favorite I would have told you it was Unlike Any Other. Now that I’m done, I can’t decide. JC and Pria stole this little piece of my heart that I don’t want back. I loved their story so much.

I have to tell you too that in this book, I feel like we got even more of AJs spunky feisty funny personality than we had gotten in the previous books. Before, in her stories we were going through some horrible moments in her life and we didn’t get to see this side of her as much. She is that sister who says I can pick on my brothers and give them all the grief I want to, but I will tear you apart if you try to do the same thing, kind of like me and my 2 brothers. :) I loved seeing more of that.

I also still love this family so much. The way they band around the family member that is hurting (it’s about time after how we met them in book 1, ya know?).

Now I am waiting for Mattie’s story, the third of the triplets. The one who may take us more by surprise than any of the others. I just have this feeling that his story is going to be a roller coaster ride from the get go. I can’t wait.

If you haven’t not read Claudia Y. Burgoa’s books yet, you should. This woman will take your emotions out of you, wring them out a few times, and then give you your heart back whole and shining…eventually. :)

5 stars for JC and Pria who had my faith in them from the beginning!

Note: This ARC was provided by Rock Star Lit PR in exchange for an honest review.

By the time I finished reading the book, I felt myself flooded by mixed emotions. It felt like Jacob entered his own personal brand of hell and stayed there for more years than he should have. The guilt and all those promises that were made were weighing him down and the abuse he was putting his mind, heart, and body through was almost like a self-flagellation of sorts. After everything Jacob went through, I couldn't help but ask myself, "All that for what? Was it even worth it?" And, at the end of the day, I guess you could say that true love is worth the pain and sacrifice and if two people are really meant to be together, then that very same true love will find a way. It may be sappy but if you truly believe then that's all that matters.

My curiosity is definitely piqued with as far Matthew's upcoming story is concerned, mainly because of who captured his attention, and vice-versa, in this third book. I was wracking my brain, trying to recall if there was any mention of his preferences when it came to people he dated. I think I know who he's going to be partnered with in the next book, but even if I'm wrong, I'm too addicted to the Unexpected series and will be devouring each book that comes out. While I am recommending Uncharted, I would like to suggest that you read the series in order because it does make for a better reading experience and explains a lot of what goes on here with the always entertaining Colthurst-Decker family. This gets five out of five stars. ♥

A copy of this title was received in exchange for an honest review.

To start, I love the cover. It fits in so well with the story.

Cypriana and Jacob meet in college and fall in love very quickly. But fate and life have other ideas. The rest of this story is their journey through life and, hopefully, back to one another. Cypriana is the typical do-gooder. Whereas Jacob is the alpha, push life to it's limits type. Their journey is sad, twisted, heartbreaking and sweet. I did find it a long drawn out and I had a little difficulty following the characters. The best way for me to explain what I mean is to take an excerpt from the book itself "There are always these types of discussions between them that have no tip or finish." I think that dynamic between the characters also bleeds a little bit into the storyline making it a little difficult to connect with the characters. But that is just a very small part of the whole book. I loved the writing and the characters and think that each couple needs to have his/her own book as well. What do you say Claudia? Could this possibly be a series? :)

This is a stand alone and does not have any cliffhanger.

Oh my god! This story was amazing and emotional.

Pria and Jacob meet as college students. They fall in love during one blissful week together before Pria has to return home to help care for her sick sister. What follows is a series of mishaps that completely diverts the course of true love, and they end up losing one another for many years, until a coincidence brings Pria back into Jacob’s life. However, Jacob is no longer the cheesy, romantic guy that Pria remembers. He’s broken and soulless. Pria has had her fair share of heartbreak, too, but she’s also a commanding and capable woman.

This story was angsty and emotional but, ultimately, rewarding and wonderfully life-affirming. The Colthurst-Decker clan are so tight-knit and I love Jacob’s relationship with his fellow triplet siblings. I love the thread of familial warmth that’s woven all through this story, and how Jacob’s family adopt Pria and her sister into their lives. Love and loyalty are big themes in this story, as well as second chances.

Such a wonderful read – made me laugh, sigh and cry but I finished it with a big smile on my face! Thoroughly recommend!

I can't say enough how much I love this series. All the characters are so amazing and there are some twists woven in that really throw you and make you fall even harder for the story.

While I figured from the first 2 books something was off with Jacob, I would have never guessed one so young would go through so much.

Uncharted was an agonizingly beautiful story and a great installment to this series that I think everyone should read.

Claudia Burgoa can do no wrong when she writes stories! Her work is phenomenal and Uncharted is no exception! Though I love all of her books, JC and Pria's story is by far one of my favorites! If you haven't met the Deckers yet, you're missing out! This is one of the best series I've read! It won't disappoint! Grab your copy today and fall in love with the Decker clan like myself and many other have!

The ever so great Jacob.... His story gives more of an insight to him. Full of emotions for the reader, at least for me it was. This was a great book and so far my favorite! This author has been sucked in on her books! The writing and the plots of each of her books never disappoint!

The story of AJ and Pria is promising but I have a little problem with the flow of the story; there are part that I feel so confuse and there are part that is good.
This is my first read from the author and although this book is part of a series, it can be read as a stand alone.
I still look forward into reading any books from the author.

Claudia did it again! Every book in the series is fantastic but as the book progress they just keep getting better and better. Pria & JC's story is told beautifully and flawless over a 10 year span... I can not recommend these books enough - Happy to have found this jem of an author!

Ok so I'm loving this series now. This was Jacob & Pria/ Anas book. The first part was a hard slog and I started skipping ... The frustration was setting in, but as I've learned with this series the backstory is always needed. Time for Matthews book now ❤️

When Pria Walker and Jacob Colthurst-Decker meet in college, the chemistry between the two of them is undeniable and it's like they're meant to be. They share a wonderful romantic week together, enjoy themselves and focus solely on the here and now. In other words, they allow themselves to forget, just for once, all the obligations and burdens that they have to face. And unfortunately, the wake-up call comes earlier than expected, forcing Pria to leave college to return to her family.

Due to unexpected circumstances, Jacob and Pria don't meet again until several years later, when time changed both of them and their dreams of a future together and what they thought was meant to be are long gone and forgotten... But somewhere, the lingering feeling of belonging is still apparent between them.

What I loved about this book:

The very real characters
The roller-coaster like storyline: couldn't put this book down!
The colourful side-characters

What I felt needed improvement:

The cover of the book is not accurate
Maybe less focus on the side-characters?

I received  Uncharted as an ARC from Netgalley, and while I had read Claudia Burgoa books before, this was my first book in the  Unexpected  series - and it was #3. I don't know whether it was a bad thing not having read the previous books in the series, but it wasn't something that bothered me or kept me from really understanding the main story - so that's a plus.

However, a lot of passages in  Uncharted  referenced to stories and characters from the earlier books in the series, and sometimes that messed with my head. I did not know whether or not to focus on these details and it turns out most of them were not really relevant to the main story, but might be of interest if you are looking at reading the next books in the series.

To be honest, I started this read with a bad feeling - as in: either this could go terribly wrong, or end up to be the greatest thing ever. And I was actually a bit put-off by the cheesy beginning. Jacob had a bad case of insta-love when he saw Pria for the first time and really gave way to his inner cheesy romantic. And the stuff he says are no creepy pick-up lines he uses to get into her pants: no, he actually means it!
"It's written in the stars. You and I are it. Destined to be together - forever."

"You mean more to me than words can speak, more than the notes in my guitar can express, and more than what the sun is t0 Earth."

After Pria and Jacob's magical days spent together, the whole story turn into a total mess: a mess of emotions, and a mess of events - one bad event succeeding another. Pria has to go back to her family to care for her sister, and Jacob loses her phone number. By trying to find Pria, Jacob got badly injured, and took the life of two people in a road accident. He has a hard time dealing with all the guilt that's on hist chest, and still mourns the loss of Pria. And in his desperation, he gets attached to someone else who, unfortunately isn't about to stop his suffering.
"This shouldn't be me. I'm a guy. Why do I give a shit about a girl who I barely know and who didn't wait for me?"

And in the meantime, Pria is going through difficult phases of her own. Her fiancé dumped her the day of her mother's funeral, her father's condition is getting worse, and her sister still has a fatal disease that constantly needs looking after...

When Pria and Jacob meet several years later, they feel completely changed and don't recognise each other anymore as they both have been through a lot. The romantic guy turned into some hardened despicable manwhoring version of himself, and smiling but demure Pria has become a closed-off and shattered shell of herself. I found it very difficult to witness this transformation as a reader. I especially mourned Jacob and hated what he had become: careless, reckless and making alcohol his best friend to avoid the suicidal thoughts.
"I've had to hunt him down and take him away before he makes a scene in a public place three different times now. I've picked him up from random bars five other times."

Still, I really loved the characters because they felt human and real, especially in their actions and weaknesses/flaws. I loved how strong Pria was despite all the pain she felt, and I was amazed at what a loving and devoted character Jacob was, even if his loyalty might have been misplaced at times. I also very much enjoyed the fact that the booked allowed the reader to witness their evolution through time - even though it was a painful evolution which certainly took its toll and its time.

Needless to say, even after all those years and all those changes, there's still some kind of spark hidden between the two. But for personal reasons, both are intent on fighting it, which makes the story extremely interesting. Yet, they succeed only in fighting off the emotions, and still give in to the physical.
"I'm only offering sex, Pria. That kid you hung out with died years ago. There's a catch if we do this. No promises, no expectations, no overnight stays, and no tender words."

The whole book was absolutely heartbreaking, gut-wrenching and full of angst. There are a lot of negative and depressing things happening, and a lot of them stem from a bad case of "wrong place, wrong time". Don't expect  Uncharted to be some kind of rosy read: it is heavy and will not leave you unaffected. That's not a bad thing though, and only goes to show that this read and the writing is full of emotion. This story is also a very good dissertation on guilt and on (sometimes misplaced) sense of loyalty and/or responsibility. Still, some parts in this book were funny and endearing - thank god, because the main characters deserve some lightheartedness.

I was totally hooked and wanted to know what life had in store for the two of them, so I couldn't put the read down. It was addictive. So many things happen that change the course of the story that there is really not one dull moment: up until the end.  Uncharted  really goes to show that even if things are destined to be, it doesn't always come the easy way, and that you have to deal with a whole lot of unexpected stuff.

Now as you can tell, I really loved this book, and I recommend you give it a try if you love rollercoaster angsty rides just as much as I do! I am not entirely sure I will give all the other books in the series a go, but I sure did like the sidecharacters, and wouldn't be opposed to reading about AJ's story!

By the way, there's something I'd like to critize - which I rarely do - and it's the cover of the book. I would assume that this represents Jacob, and it if does, then that guy on the cover bears no resemblance to the Jacob described in  Uncharted , who is blonde with shoulder length-hair... Major goof which should be corrected, IMHO!

Uncharted is full of angst and put me through the wringer for almost the entire read. I am emotionally exhausted from all the highs and lows of Jacob Decker's life.

I was fooled in the beginning of the story when I met the sweet guy, Jacob Decker, who is full of dreams and aspiration. He met Pria and was smitten with her on first sight. I even swooned over his horrible pickup lines. They have a wonderful romance for a week before a series of unfortunate events torn them apart.

One final thought, yet another amazing read by amazing author.

OMG! Uncharted was an amazing read. I was drawn in immediately with Pria and Jacob meeting as 17&18 year old college students. They have an amazing time together that is cut short when Pria has to leave college for family obligations. They lose track of each other. Fast forward 10 years and much heartache for both of them. Can they overcome everything?

This book has a fabulous cast of characters. Each and every one draws you in. I loved reading about Jacob and his brother Matthew and sister AJ. They are a set of triplets. Their parents are gay dads. Highly famous in the movie and Music Industry. They hide their lifestyle from the general public. The triplets are in the music business as well.

You definitely have to read Uncharted. Claudia Burgoa knocked this one out of the park!

Genre: New Adult, Romance
When I started reading this I was soo disappointed – the characters were just 17 and 18....and I was expecting them to be in their early twenties at least. I’ve read a few with teens as leads but it’s rare they work for me, just seem too exaggerated and this started this way, with storm in a teacup dramas and Jacob’s chat-ups being really juvenile seeming. I hate too the way their parents were introduced – the “we’ve got two dads” bit and then a couple of pages later ( I was still only at 4%!) in a conversation with his brother, Jacob quotes his dad Chris saying something like “ I can’t get my husband to stop playing the Beatles” when talking to one of the triplets. When I talk about my husband to my kids I’ll call him Dad or by his name, but somehow it always seems that if people are GLBTQIA they have to get called Husband or Wife on every possible occasion. It just seems odd to me, not realistic but maybe that’s me out of step – who knows? Anyway that was it – the first third annoyed me, I almost gave up but thankfully didn’t as there was then a gap of a few years before we followed them again and that part covered several years during which much happened to both Jacob and Pria. Drama after Drama after Drama, and I do love those. Really tragic plots!! Nora, she was a great introduction – I do love someone to dislike and I was wary of her right from the first. Poor Jacob was ripe for the taking and he fell in neatly to her plans, and her effect on him lasted so long. I did feel that what happened in the beginning to separate Jacob and Pria was a bit thin, I could see exactly how it happened and that was real, but the way Jacob bore grudges years later when it was really his fault they lost contact seemed irritating. Still, that was needed, I just felt it could have been done a bit better, seemed unfair to Pria. I really liked the way so much was kept back and came out later in the story, so that just when i though that line wrapped up there was even more revealed...the last third was excellent, and really a five star read for me. Shame about the beginning...
Along with the issues I’ve mentioned I also felt things like Pria sister’s illness wasn’t very well done, she’s at death’s door when we first meet her and then after having told us she’s a record survivor at 26, we see her ten years on living a very different life, freer but there’s no operation, no medical breakthrough explanation given and it just invalidates all the sacrifice Pria made before. You can’t just mess about with CF, it isn’t a condition that gets better, and given she was in hospital with poor lung function when we first met her I just needed some kind of reference as to why things had changed. A transplant, a new medicine, something like that. Overall though, having dragged myself through the first third I’m glad I continued. The dramas were first rate for me, I love all that angst and the way it lasted – not one of those reads where its tears and heartbreak and then two pages later all over...I need to wallow and this book let me. It didn’t really matter to me that some of it was exaggerated, there was enough substance to justify what happened. The incident with Jacob and the police for example, towards the end. Could have been left out, but fitted in well, and provided another angst fix for me. I hadn’t read the first two books, and I think that would have helped. When I looked this up I assumed the stories were connected via family, but each would be a separate read, and this is true to a degree but there’s so much from earlier brought in this book that it would help to read the first two.
Stars: hmnn, hard to rate. I really didn’t like the first third but loved the third, and enjoyed very much the middle. A Four I think.
