That ending!
This book starts off right where the first installment ended. Sadie is in a dangerous game of cat and mouse with a sadistic killer and the UNSUB has stepped up his game in trying to get her attention. Colton is still keeping secrets and now Sadie realized she doesn't really know him at all. Could he be the threat to her?
We do find out Colton's secret near the end and I have to be honest, I already knew. It was kind of obvious by the time he told Sadie what happened. I was shocked, though, when I started figuring it out. There are still so many questions I want answered. I hope the next book will be out soon!
With Visions of Red is such an intriguing erotic thriller and I didn't want to put it down once I started. The sexual chemistry between Sadie and Colton was amazing but what made it even greater was the mystery of the secrets that they both have. Sadie is also dealing with being stalked by the UNSUB and also trying to protect Colton from her teammates. So much is going on and I need my answers like right this second!

The story goes on from where it was stopped in the first instalment. The story is still a suspense, thriller with erotic elements without being the focus of the story. The plot is moving fast and there are twists, surprises and secrets. Ms. Wolfe has written an amazing thriller that keeps me on edge! I cannot stop reading! I cannot stop guessing who may be the killer and changing my mind constantly. The story is still said by three POV’s (Sadie’s, Colton’s and UNSUB’s) and it is really nicely done. Especially the POV of UNSUB is totally crazy.
Sadie is also suspicious of everyone as she has learnt to distrust everyone due to her past. I love how she doubts Colton and how she opens up to him. It’s just beautiful. I also love her way of acting and reacting. She is not the usual girl and she shouldn’t be with everything that she has been through.
Colton becomes more clear to me. He comes closer with Sadie and he is sincere to her. He wants to serve her and be there for her. Actually he is kind of obsessed with her but in a crazy way, it makes sense to me and it doesn’t disturb me.
UNSUB is a huge mystery for me. I cannot see who he is. It’s like he is everywhere I look and at the same moment nowhere. He is obsessed with Sadie but I don’t know yet why. He is totally freaking me out and I’ve missed to read about someone so evil.
The interactions among Sadie and Colton are intense, really intense. Although the focus of the book is still in the mystery and thriller side and not the erotic side, there are a couple of intimate moments that left me speechless. The interactions of Sadie and UNSUB are chilling. I have constantly the feeling that I miss something from this puzzle and I love it! (Not normal, I know)
The end of the book was a huge cliffhanger again! I loved it! I am content that some answers were given but still I am not even close to understand and uncover everything! I start immediately with the last part of this series.

This book is much less burdened (at least for my taste... * blush* ) with BDSM. It's still there, but much less than in the previous book and I appreciated it! :)
I understand that BDSM is very important for the story and the reasoning of both the good and the bad guys, so it doesn't bother me so much when that is the main reason of the story!
The focal point here is still the chase of the sadistic, psycopathic killer who enjoys torturing women. And what a sick, sick person he is!
Here we discover more of the backstories of both Sadie and Colton and it was explained/shown to us little bit by little bit! Just to wet our appetite for more! :)
I has a little complaint: I Could not get clearly if Quinn didn't know what happened to Sadie. It is clouded: sometime the way Sadie thinks it seems that he didn't know, but sometimes it seems that he does... If he did know, then I couldn't understand why Sadie hides her suspect about the UNSUB...
Anyhow, a great mystery, even with some inconsistences in the investigation process! I enjoy the POV changes - it gives you insight to all the protagonists! :)
On to the next one!

Who is the UNSUB?!?!? Gah!!!!
In this second in the installment to the series, I did not trust ANYONE! Ok, that's a lie. I didn't trust any male character. Every time a male character interacted with Sadie I thought, "OOH OOH, HE'S THE UNSUB!!!" I'm not kidding, everyone was a suspect in my mind, even Colton.
As the murders begin to escalate, they show an obvious calling to Sadie, and it frustrated me that she didn't reveal her connections sooner. Adding to the creepy death scenes, I loved getting the UNSUB's POV (this was in the first book as well). It is vague enough so that you can't figure out who it is, but I liked getting a glimpse into his mind and how delusional he was with his Sadie obsession.
This book will not give you answers as to who the UNSUB may be. But you will find out what secret Colton was hiding about the girl he and his brother once loved. I was not only surprised by what he did, but how Sadie reacted to this news. But then again, she isn't quite normal.
While I challenged Sadie's connection to the Lair, it seems Colton may be just what she needs to survive the man she's up against.
On to the next one . . .

I have mix feeling about this book. Not sure what to think of it. There's a serial killer obsessed with Sadie but she's also dealing with her own issues but both intertwine together. I'm not sure, just mix feeling about this book.

With Visions of Red, Part 2, continues to be an exhilarating page turner! This is a high octane thriller, that keeps the reader on their toes every step of the way. As criminal profiler Sadie Bonds continues to work the case of a sadistic serial killer, she painstakingly exams all of the evidence, and we as readers feel like we are right there with her looking at all of the clues. Time is running out as the serial killer continues to commit gruesome murders, and draws closer to Sadie.
The danger is palpable, and goosebumps crawled up my skin as the killer sent messages to Sadie, and it was obvious that he was watching her closely. Now, he is targeting those she is close to. The killer knows things that he shouldn't. Is there a leak in the department, or is the killer someone from the inside? One thing is certain, time is ticking, and the sand in the hourglass is about to run out...
With Visions of Red is one of those stories that really makes you think. Like a complex puzzle, I was determined to put the pieces together. However, this story is anything but predictable. Right when you think one person is guilty, you change your mind, because really the killer could be anyone. It could be Sadie's partner, Detective Quinn, rookie Detective Carson, the police captain, Wexler, Colton (her lover), Colton's brother, Julian, or Colton's roommate, Jefferson. The possibilities are endless.
Trisha's writing is brilliant. It is beautiful, and her words hypnotize the reader. She paints a picture in the readers mind so vivid, that scene after scene unfolds like a movie reel in your head. All of the characters have a bit of mystery to them. Colton has his secrets, and Sadie has hers. Yet, as we learn more about these characters, we begin to get a clearer picture of who they are, what makes them tick, and we learn about the skeleton's in their closet; which is something they all seem to have. This makes for a very intriguing and entertaining cast of characters.
Now lets discuss the sexy, enigmatic, passionate, and nonconventional, Colton Reed. This man is sex on a stick. Sadie can't stay away, and as a reader I don't want her to. When these two are in the same vicinity as one another, lust, and passion overtake all of their senses. Sadie and Colton steam up the kindle screen, and like a match thrown on kindling with a bit of gasoline, all I could see was the blazing inferno all around them. They continue to practice their erotic rope play, and are obsessed with one another. However, we also begin to see trust and a deeper emotional connection develop between them as well. They begin to confide in one another, and for better or worse, Sadie has decided to take a leap of faith where Colton is concerned.
We are left with a climatic ending, and a to be continued. Who is the killer? We still don't know, but all will be revealed in the third and final book. Until then, I will be counting down the days until I get to finish this addicting page-turner!

You always worry when there is more than one book in a series. Will it be as good? Will it live up to my expectations? Well, I have to tell you, With Visions of Red Book 2, exceeded my expectations.
When we last left Sadie, she was filled with strength and determination to face her fears. In Book 2, Sadie is working harder than ever to discover who the UNSUB is. With more murders happening, Sadie finds herself on edge more than ever, trying to escape the bonds her fear has over her. Only Colton can bring her a sense of calm. But, Colton has some serious secrets of his own. When all is revealed will Sadie still be by Colton’s side?
With Visions of Red, Book 2 picks up right where book 1 leaves off. I am again, sucked into the story. I am desperate for the truth. I need to know who the UNSUB is. Why is he seeking out Sadie? Is there a connection to the two of them? It seems for every answer we get, there is always more questions. “The rabbit hole I’ve tumbled down becomes darker, deeper, pulling me into the hollowness. I can’t find purchase along the dirty walls as I reach and claw. There is only down.” The journey that Trisha Wolfe takes you on is mind-blowing. It feels so real. It is like you are looking through a window, watching the story happen, instead of sitting in your home reading it.
There is so much tension between Colton and Sadie in Book 2. Colton is hiding a very damaging secret. A secret that threatens to ruin everything. He needs to tell Sadie the truth. But his fear has him holding back. Sadie still hasn’t clued Colton in on her disturbing past. She knows she has to, but once again, fear is playing a major part in both of their lives. “But there’s a deep, dark fear that levels them all. Fear of loss. The climbing panic that clutches you whole and won’t let you drag in a breath the higher it escalates. That all-consuming fear.”
“Our relationship operates on a different level of rules and trust. We’re not blind in the dark; we seek it out. We crave it.” Colton and Sadie’s relationship will be tested in many ways in this book. They say the truth will set you free, but in Colton and Sadie’s case, it’s trust. If they can both learn to trust each other, than they can both be free. There is a scene towards the end with Sadie and Colton, that completely blows my mind. I’m not going to go in to the details, but it’s something you need to experience for yourself. However, I will say this, this scene: It’s dark, it is erotic, it is intense. It is beautiful in it’s own way. It has to happen for you to see, for you to understand the depth of the love and connection between the two of them. “Break these bonds with me. Break them and bind me to you.” It really shows you just how intense their bond is. Days later, I am still thinking about it.
The ending…Does it end with a cliffhanger? It does and it doesn’t. I had a feeling something bad was going to happen and the way the end was delivered….Let’s just say, it had me begging and screaming for more. I can not wait to see how it all comes together.
With Visions of Red, Book 2 is an amazing follow up to Book 1. I love this story because I never know what’s going to happen next. I could guess, but I won’t even try. I am really enjoying watching how this story will unravel. I still don’t have a clear answer as to who the UNSUB is. I have my suspects narrowed down, one sticks out more than the others and man do I want to be right. The UNSUB, does not disappoint. He is twisted. He is creepy. He scares me, but at the same time, he intrigues me. And the fact that he could be anyone…..
With Visions of Red takes you on one exciting ride. The writing is smart. The story fascinating. The characters have amazing chemistry and are completely intriguing. This book has left me spellbound, desperate for answers and anxious for the truth. I can not wait to see how this story will wrap up and to finally find out who the UNSUB is.

I wanted to read Visions of Red because I have adored everything Trisha has written even things from when I beta read some of her stuff not published. She writes characters that are easy to love and sizzling romances that make me want to swoon. I will admit that the whole mystery and murder part of it is not something that I would have chosen to read without her name on it, but she totally swept me off my feet and it was a story that I did not want to put down. I loved the first and connected so much with Sadie. I was left wanting more and excited to find out more about the mystery from the 1st book.
It picks up right where we left off, and Sadie has been targeted by the UNSUB. She of course, has to suspect Colton, but she doesn't really believe or want to believe it was him. Colton longs for more with the taste of submission and steam that he had with Sadie, and he understands that he had to be considered for the string of murders, and the texts and targeting of Sadie.
The pacing is amazing, and still gives us some hardcore sexy scenes, and they manage to also develop the characters and deepen the trust between the two. Its a give and take and I loved it. Getting to know more about the characters and what makes them tick is great, and I feel even closer to both of them. Both have some pretty dark things in their past, but it helps to shape them and know what they don't want the rest of their lives to be like.
I would have to say that my only complaint is a big one-- I WANT MORE. Once I got started I couldn't stop. It is a wild and twisted ride that is dark and gritty, and I don't know what it says about me that I loved every second and want more.
And oh the UNSUB. We get glimpses into his dark and twisted mind, and how closely he is really trailing and obsessing over Sadie. He really starts to get personal and has her fearing for those closest to her.
Oh the ending. Trisha has to be trying to kill us. I have some theories, but I am not so good at guessing with the thriller type reads, but we shall see. There is one set-up but it does seem like he is the too obvious choice. I absolutely can't wait to read the third!
Bottom Line: Sexy and dark thriller that kept me guessing and yearning for more.

This second installment was every bit as suspenseful as its predecessor. With the UNSUB silent for the moment, with the exception of text messages, new details revealed about Sadie and Colton, questionable behavior from characters, and an addition to the cast, the question of the identity of the UNSUB is every bit as muddled - at least for me - as it was.
I thrilled at learning a little more about Sadie and as these details where revealed I realized I didn't know her as well as I thought. The revelations about Colton were heartbreaking but I so appreciated getting some clarity about this enigma of a man.
Sadie and Colton make great strides in deepening their bond. The alternating POV once again added so much depth to the characters. Getting glimpses into their thinking enabled me to understand where they were coming from - and where they were headed - in relation to each other.
The tension created with the addition of Detective Carson to the task force along with Detective Quinn's odd behavior have me twisted in knots over what is going on and what's coming next. The UNSUB is getting brazen - well more so - in his actions and I'm worried for Sadie and Colton. As for who he is? Well, I have a few theories. We'll see if my theories pan out. I kinda feel like I might be off-base.

4 'INTRIGUING' STARS
With Visions of Red, Two kept me on the edge of my seat. In this book we learn of the UNSUB's and Colton's connection and I must say I didn't see it coming. It's like we're so close to finding out the UNSUB's real identity but yet, so far.
The only problem I had with this book is the overly poetic dialogues between our main characters. Because, hell, who the fuck speaks like that in real life?
Book 3 cannot come fast enough!

This was tense! Sadie annoyed me a bit here though, she contradicted herself by wanting to separate her personal life with the cases when there's clearly a conflict of interest. Colton is a POI and Sadie easily succumbed to her attraction to him. I love how the plot continues to thicken, now more than Severn I'm curious who the killers are. ARE, there's two of them!

I’ve been on edge waiting for the sequel in the Broken Bonds series, and now that I’ve read it, it certainly didn’t disappoint! Trisha Wolfe has continued to blow me away with her thrilling but sexy story and I just can’t get enough of this world or the characters!
Book Two begins a week after the conclusion of the first book, and Sadie is continuing to work with Quinn on the case. She’s being cautious, because the threat is beginning to become personal. Colton wants Sadie more than ever, but respects her distance for the moment. He is also on edge as the case that she is working on is becoming all too familiar…
I loved seeing the chemistry and passion continue to build between Colton and Sadie. They continue to explore their connection and learn to trust one another, with secrets and their bodies. The Shibari scene was sizzling and intense… you just HAVE to read it!
I love the depth that the secondary characters bring to the storyline too. Quinn is quite protective of Sadie, wanting to keep her out of harm’s way. Carson pushes Sadie and at times makes her uncomfortable. Colton’s brother Julian seems a little guarded, and his roommate Jonathon has no filter.

The second installment in Trisha Wolfe's Broken Bonds series is a dark thriller with an expertly crafted mystery. Criminal profiler, Sadie Bonds, and the ACPD are still on the trail of the escalating serial killer. Things become even more complicated and dangerous as those close to Sadie become both suspects and targets. Will she be able to uncover the unsub's identity before it's too late? Can she keep herself and those she loves safe?
I cannot get enough of this series, these characters, or this writing. I love the strong and damaged characters Wolfe has created. It's so easy to fall in love with Sadie, Colton, and a few of the other characters. My feelings for them are making me freak out now because I don't know who the unsub is. I love these people! I don't want any of them to be the "bad guy" and I don't want any of them to get hurt either. I am fully invested in them and this story.
Throughout the series we are offered a glimpse into the killer's mind. The inclusion of the unsub's pov is brilliant and it brings a new dimension to the story.
With more of Wolfe's superb and eloquent prose and gripping storyline, With Visions of Red: Book Two, is another must read novel!

After the way the first book ended I devoured part 2 and was ready to strangle the author with how she left this one hanging. This story and all the characters just grips you by the hairs and doesnt let go.
In the first book we know most of Sadie's horrific past and how that made her become a profiler in the hopes of making sure what happened to her doesnt happen to other women. But there is an unsub out there committing heinous murders and its become clear Sadie has become his target.
In this installment in the series we finally find out Colton's secret. And that's all I'm going to say on that.
The investigation into who's killing the women really kicks up a notch bringing with it some surprising revelations along with consequences about them.
This is at the core a hunt for a killer but its also a unique love story between a woman that survived a serial killer that now craves the darker side of sex and a man due to his own past needs the release of tying a woman up with rope. These two are very emotionally scared but have the most explosive sex together and really are perfect for each other.
The cliffhanger at the end of this about killed me but I'm learning to like a little pain with my reading and will gladly suffer until the next book.

not as strong as the first book. the romance feels a bit insta-lovey. the only thing keeping me interested is the hunt for the killer. this isn't a bad 3 stars, it's just not as good as i want it to be. but i will still continue reading because i need to know what is going onnn!!

Continuing from book one, you're immediately thrown back into the suspense of who the UNSUB is. It's definitely one that's going to keep you on the edge of your seat as you turn the pages. Sadie and Colton really do steam up the pages, but that's not the focus of the story and that's what leaves you needing more. Their relationship, the UNSUB making contact, and also, the unpredictability is what has my quickly downloading the third book to find out all the secrets that Trisha hid so well.

I was completely enveloped in the minds of Sadie and Colton. This is where my mind goes crazy and I am on the brink of figuring out this rubix cube of hypnotic terror!!!
The reader never knows what is going to hit them, as they walk a tightrope, through the crime scenes, and the killer that has all the answers. Your mind is invaded, corrupted, bedazzled, titilated, and completely off balance. Just who is the killer? Who knows all the secrets? Are they voyeuristic, watching her every move? The questions are endless.
Believe me readers, Ms. Wolfe is a master story teller, the way her killer is a master manipulator. There are no easy answers to figuring out this puzzle. The fear will invade your bones. Your mind will be swirling in the vortex of the tumultuous countdown, with the sadistic, interwoven, finely crafted, double life of this profiler and her serial killer.

After reading book one, I patiently waited until I could read book two, and I wasn’t disappointed. I was able to read this story in two sitting, I just couldn't put it down! Trisha Wolfe really knows how to write an amazing story! She was able to imagine a dark and twisted world that was extremely enjoyable to read. I know if I write too much I will give the whole story away, so I will keep this brief.
Book two in the With Vision of Red Series started up right where the first book left off. Sadie is still looking for the UNSUB and still spending time with Colton. I love both Colton and Sadie; they are both really interesting characters that have their own stories to share with each other. I was very surprised with what Colton has been keeping to himself.
I love all the twists and turns! Every time I think I know who the UNSUB is something else changes my mind! I also love how Trisha added his/her POV to the story, its so interesting being in his/ her head for a little bit.

So this is the second instalment in the Broken Bonds series by Trisha Wolfe. This instalment was definitely full of intrigue and suspense. The relationship between Colton and Sadie definitely become stronger and more intense. I am loving these two together, their bond undoubtedly becoming unbreakable and she is learning to trust him. How Colton builds that trust is a thing of hot n' steamy beauty.
The UNSUB is certainly something I can not figure out. I've been wracking my brain trying to figure it out...I've made a list of suspects, so I do have my theories, but who knows if I'm right or not?! I guess I won't find out until Broken Bonds #3.

Dit is deel twee en ik ben nog steeds van mening dat wat ik over deel een zei van “niet het beste geschreven boek, maar wel vermakelijk” nog steeds klopt. Ook: ik dacht vrij snel te weten wie de moordenaar was, maar ik ben nu helemaal confused met alle nieuwe ontwikkelingen in het boek. Ik- whut? Snel doorlezen ✌🏻!

I am hooked.. there is no better way to say this.. i am obsessed. The tension the angst the fear all the emotions the characters feel i do as well. Beautifully written and the attention to detail is astounding. Running to the next book now

The serial killer in this series is BOLD and SICK. I am pretty certain I know who it is, but Trisha is tricky and leaves you on a cliffhanger again. The series really could be a 3 part episode of Criminal Minds. The romance is dark though and I did skip over some parts, but it doesn’t take away from the story. Overall I enjoyed it and will jump straight into the next one.
