I honestly don’t know how this author does it, but every time I start one of her books I get completely sucked in. This one had everything I love about her books, chemistry, tension, drama and, of course, plenty of steam.

Yes there was plenty of steam, but also enough emotion and drama to make the story more than just that. I really liked the characters and the way everything unfolded without being too predictable.

But what I loved the most was the family dynamics and that we get to see other MCs from previous books.. it’s like watching your favorite TV Show that just introduced 2 new incredibly sexy characters..

Also, I wanted to start taking Tango lessons right after I finished this 😂

Highly recommend read! Very solid 5 stars.

On paper this should not be my type of book as it is super steamy…… Harper's writing is Blisstering…. Also it has the whole forbidden angle emphasised in all marketing….. BUT Bliss does this all so well and I am a sucker for a well written book.
Within minutes I am berating myself for not starting the book as soon as I got it……. All sides are reasonable….. All my objections have left the chat!
Just as I am thinking the longing has to go somewhere soon….. it does! Aaaaaand then, decent behaviour from all which allows me to support the mains….. which is just as well as I still have loads of the book to go!
I need connection and emotional intimacy to get the most out of intimate scenes. Bliss excels at that and this book is no exception. There are several consecutive chapters demonstrating her talent, and more after that.
There is a line in the book, “I want you, but I can’t choose you” that sums up the plot. We then see the want but also the choice made, then unmade, and we very much see the ramifications. I think what I found so compelling about this was, we saw the cost, we saw good people being hurt, seeing their loved ones hurt…. There was no solution where good people were not hurt. The forbidden aspect of this book I think is not the dad’s girlfriend but putting yourself first… I love a book that has me thinking! (Conclusion….. Balance in all things.) It would also appear I love steamy, forbidden and messy books! Bliss said she wanted to make you root for two women whose happiness could break someone else’s heart…. I rooted! My only other thought….. while it was lovely so many other characters from other novels either had walk on parts in this or were name checked in some way, I found I got distracted by their back story mainly trying to remember about their starring book.

I love the intensity of the desire between these two women.
They quickly realize they want each other—and they dance around that fact. Literally.
They dance the tango! It’s hot! And yet, that’s not what they were supposed to be doing; after all, Jen only went there to confront the new woman dating her father—a woman she’d previously spotted on a dating app.
No one is supposed to find out what she’s doing instead.
But Clancy—that wonderful person, an incredibly hot woman and a dancer of such grace that Jen completely loses her head—is the one who changes everything.
And Clancy? She seems to be grappling with similar issues; that’s why she steers clear of Jen’s father—partly to ease her own guilty conscience. It was just a kiss... but what a kiss!
Okay, I won’t give anything else away.
You have to read the book!!
I love all the books Harper Bliss writes, but I’m a huge fan of steamy scenes where the desire practically leaps off the page and you can feel it!
I get that feeling in spades here, and I absolutely adore it!
Thank you so much, Harper Bliss, for the arc and an fantastic hot romance !

This was read as an ARC from the author.

Having entered into the world of Harper’s Blissverse in the past, getting to read this was an amazing gift.

The story in my opinion is one of her best. I don’t know how it’s possible to best some of her previous books, but in my opinion, five stars is too few!

If you are a fan of books that transport you, this is it. There is family drama, family love, forbidden love, healing, and a happy ending.

If you’re are a fan of spice, there is a multi Chapter love scene that was one of a kind. I loved hearing the story from each character’s perspective at times. I wish there was a sequel to this story as I didn’t want it to end.

Also, it was fun to see the interplay of previous characters from other books that joined the party.

I can’t recommend this book strongly enough!

The story of Clancy and Jen was very unique. I love that a sappic book makes you question everything. The love triangle of sorts between Jen, Clancy and Jen's Dad, Eric, was very different trope than I am used to. The way Harper Bliss wrote it was brilliant. I felt the sadness for Eric. Jen was so sad and tortured at the same time. When you gwt hit by the love bug that bad, you have to choose the women you live even if it sends your family into a tale spin. I think Clancy and Jen were as respectful as they could be. I was thrilled with the happy ending. As usually, Harper Bliss writes so well, you feel like you are part of the story. Definitely recommend this book.

Falling for your dad’s girlfriend is definitely not your standard sapphic romance formula, and I was totally here for it!

Jen wants to hate Clancy when her father brings her to Sunday family brunch. I mean, she’s Jen’s age, after all. But Clancy is also smoking hot, and when Jen shows up at Clancy’s studio on a recon mission disguised as wanting dance lessons, the entire dynamic between them shifts.

The chemistry between these two women is hands-down my favorite part of the story. They’re irresistibly drawn to each other despite all the complicated circumstances surrounding how they met. And this book is super steamy, with every scene perfectly placed to keep the tension building.

Jen’s family is amazing! They’ve all played a role in Bliss’s previous books, and it was so wonderful being back in their orbit again. Their closeness is put to the test by Jen and Clancy’s relationship, and things definitely get rocky along the way. But underneath all the drama, tension, and hurt is the deep love they have for one another—and that really shines through.

If you love sapphic romance with undeniable chemistry, complicated circumstances, and plenty of heat, this one is definitely worth picking up!

I was so happy to read another great addition in the Blissverse, not only get a chance to get to know Jen and Clancy and their story, but also to get a bit more about previous MCs like Mimi, Jen’s mom and her partner Nora Levine and of course my all-time favourite couple Kate and Stella from A family Affair. The whole falling for your dad’s much younger hot girlfriend very forbidden so of course something I was all in to read about. The struggle is real when you fall for someone, cannot resist them, but at the same so impossible since if you pursue that will hurt someone else that you love.

When the secret relationship starts, soon obvious so much more than a casual hook-up, it’s just an impossible situation when they fall for each other. How can they ever tell anyone about the relationship without Jen losing her family. If this is real, it should be worth fighting for regardless of the risk involved, in the end it’s just love.

I received a free ARC from the author and leave an honest review voluntarily.

If you like Harper Bliss books, this'll go down a treat (especially if you've ever wanted higher spice levels in them)! Every Time We Touch is far spicier than her other sapphic romance books (in both quantity and levels): but, for me, the relationship-escalation/build phase felt a tad rushed… it went 0-60 to the “I love you”s a little bit too fast. It could have done with ~20-50% more page count (a bit like how I felt with her previous book Love Me Like You Shouldn't, which I also read an ARC of).

TL;DR - I just wanted more time with Clancy and Jen (especially in the sneaking around stage! Gimme angst!!)

Overall, a solid 4/5. Would recommend to fans of Harper Bliss novels!

A heartfelt story that pulls you in completely

This book is great, a forbidden love… Harper’s specialty! 😉🔥 And this one starts spicy, intriguing, and with just enough of a hint that you know things are about to get very complicated. The best part? Harper gives us little clues about what’s coming without making the story predictable, and I absolutely loved that.

I was enjoying this book so much from the very beginning that it was easy to forget that their love was supposed to be forbidden. The story is simply that good. There’s so much depth and emotion woven into the characters and their relationship, and their connection feels incredibly real.

And oh gosh… these two are sexy! 🔥 Their pull toward each other is so strong, the chemistry practically melts the pages. 😍

Of course, there’s drama, this is a forbidden love story, after all! But I really loved the way Harper handled it. The drama felt heartfelt and meaningful without becoming overwhelmingly heavy. It mattered to the story, to the characters, and to their journey, but there was still a lightness that made everything so enjoyable to read.

The character development and emotional growth were wonderful, and watching everything unfold was such a satisfying experience. And that ending? ❤️ Beautiful. I absolutely loved the epilogue!

This is a sexy, heartfelt, beautifully developed story filled with emotion, chemistry, complicated feelings, and a love that pulls you in completely.

Another wonderful book from Harper. I loved it and highly recommend it!

I'm not the biggest reader of super steamy books these days but there's just something about any release from Harper Bliss that has the ability to suck me in, chew me up and spit me out again, leaving me with the biggest book hangover ever and craving more. Every Time We Touch is no exception.

I absolutely loved the way the connection between Jennifer St James and Clancy Estevez develops from Jen's suspicions about Clancy's relationship with Jen's father through to the two women being unable to resist each other over the course of a few dance lessons. And the drama that this causes amonst the St James family. Oh the messy drama! Quite understandable drama though given the circumstances. Harper Bliss does a wonderful job of navigating the reader through the ups and downs and all the difficult, messy conversations that need to take place if Jen and Clancy are going to have any chance of a happy ever after without Jen having to lose her family in the process. As the blurb on Harper's website so adequately sums it up, Every Time We Touch is "sexy, scandalous, and impossible to put down".

I am grateful to the author for providing me with an ARC copy of Every Time We Touch and am leaving this review voluntarily. I will definitely be purchasing the audio copy once it is released.

Forbidden desires, taboo love, and family drama - it’s another fantastic book by Harper Bliss, giving everything we’ve come to expect from her books: putting us right into a situation that looks totally off-limits and making us go crazy about it.

If you’ve read the blurb for Every Time We Touch, you already know you’re in for a wild ride. Here it goes: Jen has no other plans than to confront Clancy, her father's beautiful new girlfriend, but finds herself completely captivated by her instead. Instant attraction, based on tango lessons, lingering glances and enough angst to keep turning pages all through the night.
The great thing about this book is the way in which Bliss manages the forbidden-romance angle. In theory, getting involved with your dad’s new girlfriend sounds like a surefire path to disaster. Somehow, though, Bliss manages to portray the romance between Jen and Clancy with such passion that it's impossible not to root for them, no matter what happens.
If you love storylines full of hot chemistry, forbidden love, and delicious trouble, this is the book for you!

Harper Bliss does it again!!!! Wow!
The Blissverse continues with Clancy and Jen’s story. A beauty of a story. A connection that is as much a surprise as it is the cause for concern. The pull between the two main characters is impossible for them to resist, try as they might. Jen faces the dilemma, is the reward / longing for Clancy and having a relationship with her worth the risk of possibly losing her family?
This book takes us on the journey as Jen and Clancy have the hard conversations, family drama, upheaval, and deal with the endless questions, as they are drawn more to each other every time they are in the same room. A love story at its heart, what are Clancy and Jen willing to do for their love?
Every Time We Touch is yet another Harper Bliss gem!

I received an ARC of this book, and this is my honest unbiased review.

After all the hype and build up for this romantic, scandalous ? story - it was kinda a let down for me.
Yes it was hot and spicy. About 70% of the book is pure sex. The other 30% is about why they should not be having sex. Both MC's have a full time job, but never seem to be at work. We never see Clancy giving dance lessons, except with Jen. Jen talks about her app business, but we never know what she actually does all day at work.
OK - Jen feels bad about 'stealing' her fathers girlfriend, but sorry - he may have been in love with her (or thinks he was), but Clancy def was not.
Sorry, but I'm maybe just over these steamy hot romance novels.

Whew! What a steamy story about falling in love with an “off-limits” woman, a father’s girlfriend! Jen takes some dance lessons from her father’s girlfriend and ends up being her own girlfriend. Talk about a tough family situation to be in. Even though Jen’s family are pretty tight, this just may break them. But alas, the St James family is resilient and as the saying goes, “this too shall pass.” I really enjoyed how Harper incorporated characters from her other books. It makes it nice to revisit them as they have become “old friends” to me. Needless to say this is another knockout book from Harper Bliss!

This is my honest review of a complimentary advanced copy.

Every Time We Touch is quintessential Harper Bliss: flawed, relatable characters, a forbidden romance, and plenty of heart. I read my ARC in one day and am already on my third reread.

Jennifer and Clancy had incredible chemistry, with serious sexual tension. Their first kiss felt delightfully earned, and their private dance lessons had me holding my breath. Like all the Blissverse novels, Every Time We Touch feels like a living, breathing world, with three-dimensional characters and a supporting cast that feels fully realized.

This story definitely had plenty of steam but also a wealth of emotion and drama that elevated it beyond mere physical attraction.

I also thoroughly enjoyed revisiting characters from previous stories and appreciated how everything unfolded in a way that felt real and unpredictable.

The family dynamics were particularly captivating.

The MC's palpable intensity and desire created a sizzling chemistry and the tango ......– it was absolutely scorching! 🥵

If you like a blend of steam, emotion and some family drama, then I highly recommend this book.

I really enjoyed this book, as usual for a Harper Bliss story. This author knows how to take very difficult situations and make a great story out of them. I usually try to avoid stories that will potentially have a lot of angst, but Harper Bliss knows how to make it work so well, so I’m always willing to read her books. The spice is always so good because it just fits so well with the emotions that are happening. She writes with such depth in all areas, that her books are a delight to read.

Blimey Harper could you get anymore forbidden than your Dads girlfriend. Once I started I couldn't put this story down. Jen and Clancy were seriously hot together, especially in the scenes where it started as a dance lesson. No wonder 70 year old Eric didn't cut the mustard long term. Really enjoyed catching up with characters from other Harper stories and the St James family is just so special in their own disruptive way.

Another fabulous book about forbidden love from Ms Bliss. She really is the best at these books. This one involves Jen, who is Mimi St Jame’s daughter, who is curious to know more about Clancy, who is the same age as her and dating her father. When they meet away from the family there is attraction, but its a no no. This is a great read and would highly recommend.

A Sensual and passionate read if ever I've read one. Clancy is in a relationship with Jen’s dad neither of these two should be flirting with each other. However, their attraction for one another is like the tango that Clancy is teaching Jen. As the passion of the dance and music is reaching a crescendo, so is that attraction! Can Jen risk her family for Clancy?

“ I use to this forgiveness was one enormous thing. It’s much small than that” this line sums up this amazing story. The complexity of relationships when one person has more to loose. The power of love and forgiveness. All the retuning characters from previous books. And of course Harper’s ability to write a sizzling love scene. This one is a must read.

Great book for those who enjoy reading alternating dual POV (which I do), sapphics (Duh!), and dirty dancing (or really sexy at least). The dancing was so good, I almost signed us up for lessons!

However, I did discover that I have a new squick aversion. Who knew? That's not on HB though, they are an excellent author & I truly enjoyed the opportunity to read this ARC!

Every Time We Touch is a delightful read. Harper loves to go after forbidden romance tropes and this one hits that nail on the head, though, in my honest opinion, I'm not sure anything can top A Family Affair in terms of forbidden.

But, despite that, the chemistry between Jen, daughter of Mimi St. James who we all met in The Love We Make, and Clancy, the dance teacher who starts out by dating Jen’s father (divorced from Mimi, obviously) is off the charts.

They both feel it. They both know they shouldn't act on it, yet Jen keeps throwing herself in front of the flame, perhaps hoping to be burned.

And don't worry! Everything will work out in the end but getting to the end is anything but an easy ride!

This is another good read from Harper Bliss and I got my copy direct from her Author Store rather than waiting for Amazon.
