With characters that are psychotic enough to make one wary of marital infidelity much less contemplate an open marriage; Flip is short but perfectly dark & erotic, with a mad dash of thrills.
You need to read it to understand.

I usually don't rate short stories over 4 stars- never an indication of the author's ability but sometimes stories are too short where I don't form an emotional connection. This story was different. Every word added to the plot and although short, I thought it perfect. I got to know the characters but everything was so surrounded in mystery I also had the chance to speculate on the story subjectively- one awesome piece of this story- I feel every reader will interpret the events in their own way. Every reading experience can be different.
I HIGHLY recommend this especially to thriller or dark erotica readers. You won't be disappointed!

Wow I finished this short story last night after not wanting to put it down and had to take a day to still continue to wrap my mind around it. Ho-Lee-Shit if you like them dark this is an awesome short read and you must read it !
Vince and Jill thought they had the perfect marriage until they are both kidnapped by another couple and forced to play in their sick and twisted game.
This story was mind fuck central Alaska Angelini nailed it out of the park giving us villains I loved to hate. It was both hot and twisted at the same time and I seriously couldn’t put it down wanting to see where the hell this ride was going to take me. The ending left me both satisfied and wanting more of both couples and my imagination running wild with possibilities. Can’t Wait to see if she expands on this story line.

Several days later and I am still feeling a little brain damaged by this short story. I can't stop thinking, "What the hell did I just read?" What the actual....
In addition to being dazed by the darkness of this book, I really truly don't understand what was going on. I was so lost on the rules of 'the game'. I didn't completely buy into the fact that they had this perfect marriage prior to 'The Flip' and I wasn't sure how 1 night could change everythng they had built their marriage on and built. But this is a short story and some of the emotional depth & back story is always lost. Still, I was drawn in, on the edge of my seat, horrified and excited. All stuff I love to feel when reading.
I am a fan of Alaksa Angelini (and AA Dark), so it's no surprise. She tends to shock and alarm me and I love that about her writing.

I will be honest that I wasn't quite sure what was happening while reading this and yet it kept me interested.
What happens when an "open marriage" turns into so much more........
It was twisted. Erotic. Maybe even borderline Psychotic.
If the author's intentions were to arouse you in a weird - not in the norm - way. Then she gets 5 stars for that. I rate it overall a 4!
This was one totally wild , erotic, crazy, mind F*k Game!

I just finished Flip and holy crap was this a hot read. It's not what I thought it would be but I wouldn't have taken it any other way. Vince and Jill have an open marriage not caring what each other do....or don't they? Someone is about to put them to the test and trust me it will have you begging for more!!

Flip is a great short, hot read with a little psycho thrown into it. This story will leave you panting for more once you read the final page. What happens when a husband and wife end up with a couple that seem like they might be off their rocker and won't take no for an answer? Well Alaska visits this scenario and adds a twist to it that will have you squirming in your seats and wondering what's wrong with you for liking it!

Holy crap!
What a story! Off the charts tale of one truly sick deranged couple with the wildest kink. The crazy mind places the author must go to in order to think of such unbelievable sexual fantasies. I know my mind could never compete, but I'm glad hers does.

WOW!Amazing!! Ok so if you've read any of the other reviews you'll know that this is a definite Love / Hate story! i mean i'm a big mouth & say things to people about things that are none of my business. In my head & heart i think i'm helping. And try. People will always do what they wish to. W/we cannot change their minds. That said. This guy, John & his wife take it upon themselves to teach people a lesson. Mostly, that they really don't want to live the way they are. And that they were going to teach them they felt different. i'm angry about the attitude of John & wife. Self righteous Bastards!! i want to take the single tail to him!!!!

This is an extremely quick, short story - but it packs a heck of a punch. Vince and Jill have a great marriage. They love each other and are happy living with an open marriage. Then they're kidnapped by another couple who cause them to rethink this and realize just how protective and possessive they are of each other.
It's a twisted little mind screw book that will leave you with your mouth hanging open wondering WTF just happened. It also ends at a place where there could possibly be more about this couple in the future.

It's not that I don't like dark reads, trust me, I do! But this one just didn't do it for me. It felt more like a thriller than erotica in any way. So I guess if I think of it in that way, it was actually pretty good. If I think about it any sort of erotic way, I cringe. I just didn't find it sexy or scintillating at all.
