Too much jumping around in the story. Needs more of everything (character development, background, plot, etc). Way too short. I almost did not read book 3 based on this one. I am a glutton for punishment. It felt like a punishment.

I may be a little generous by rating this 3 stars but I did like the premise of the story although I thought it could have been much better. Everything about this trilogy could be summed up by saying it needs more. . . more character development, more world-building, more details about every facet of the story, and more words. This self-published "trilogy" could be better described as one novel published in three separate editions. And even then, it didn't have enough content to fully develop the characters, the setting, and the story.
I read all three just to see if/how the good guys won. Besides, as I said,it didn't take a whole lot reading to accomplish this. I love trying new authors and I have a special respect for indies but, I probably won't read any more of this author's books.

Course of the Worlds

The story line is disjointed. The characters are not well developed nor well used. I found myself not caring what happened to them and it appeared neither did the author. I struggled through book 2 and just could not force myself to go further. Not worth my time!

Better

This is much better than book 1. Still confusing and asking us to accept perhaps to much strange science, yet it was exciting and easy to read. Good to see the change.
