Sunset Dreams #2

Choosing to Dream

Rate this book
Jenna Morris and Jacob Walker have finally given in to the flames of passion licking at their heels. But they're only allowed one, blissful week together before the responsibilities of Jen's café and Jake's new film wrench the new lovers from each other's arms.
Struggling to keep insecurities at bay whilst involved in a long distance relationship with one of Hollywood’s most eligible bachelors is tough enough. Dealing with Bethany Phillips, ex-supermodel turned actress and Jake’s new costar is almost unbearable.
They say love can move mountains, but can it bridge the gap that fame, jealously, and thousands of miles between them has caused?

I was born and raised in San Francisco, CA, and have a husband and two children. Music is an addiction. I can often be found in the car, singing along at the top of my lungs to whatever is playing. I work full time, and I split my spare time between family, reading, blogging, and writing. I’m a habitual quoter. Lines from films and TV shows constantly pop into my head—my kids are the only ones that really get it. I’m an only child, and so of course I married a man who is one of ten children. Other than English, I speak Spanish, Moroccan, and a little French. I love to travel, but don’t do enough of it. Reading has been a passion for most of my life and I now love writing. I’m klutz, and in my own mind, I’m hilarious.

5+++ STARS!
It was after 2 in the morning when I finished this book. I honestly just couldn't stop reading and I don't regret it at all!
Choosing to Dream is such a perfect continuation to Jake and Jenna's beginning in Sweet Dreams! They were fantastic!

I LOVED Choosing to Dream!! Omg I just LOVED it so much!! Jake is one of my favorites! I love his personality, his humility, his confidence in his love for Jenna, yet he still has an insecurity that makes it so real and makes him completely adorable!

Jennifer Senhaji writes REAL characters. They are flawed in ways that a reader can relate and I think that is what makes me love them so much. Jake knows what he wants and how to get it, but he still worries about rejection and what his lifestyle and career will do to the two of them.

Jenna... I love her and her strength and her logic. I love her impenetrable love for Jake and that she never stoops to a level beneath HER even when things seem impossible. She has her flaws and insecurities. When she is apart from Jake, she suffers as I believe a lot of women suffer being away from the man they love so fiercely.
I was the one hurting so deeply whenever the distance became too long. That is how genuinely I felt this story!

As we discovered in Sweet Dreams, Jake and Jenna have a lot of obstacles in their way. Both of them realize that loving each other comes with the need to make some important decisions.

I've said it once and I'll say it a hundred times. Jennifer Senhaji is the QUEEN of sexual tension!! The chemistry between Jake and Jenna is palpable and jumps right off the pages! If you remember those spicy scenes in Sweet Dreams... the ones that took my breath away... well you get plenty of those in Choosing to Dream, but it is different. Almost BETTER because the love between these two characters is EPIC.
Needless to say, those parts are incredibly steamy!

From the very first words of Sweet Dreams, I was pulled into this world and I don't want to crawl out. The writing is beautiful and realistic. This isn't your typical Hollywood Romance. This one will make you smile more than it will make you want to throw your kindle against the wall.

Choosing to Dream by Jennifer Senhaji took my breath away! A fantastic continuation of Jake and Jenna's beautiful and epic love story. It will stay with you long after reading the final pages.

5+++ HUGE Dreamy stars for Jake and Jenna!

ARC provided in exchange for an honest review, BUT I totally pre-ordered the book before I ever got the ARC :)

This was an incredible book that I really enjoyed reading. I loved that Ms. Senhaji wrote "Choosing to Dream" in first person POV. It made me feel like I was a participant in the story rather than a spectator from the sidelines, and I feel that the first person POV helped create realistic, in-depth characters that I was rooting for from the beginning. I loved the theme of how when life offers us a chance at happiness that we sometimes let our fears and doubts get in the way and risk losing that happiness. Ms. Senhaji weaves a wonderful story of two people who overcome those fears and doubts (sometimes a little slower than I would have liked), and find love and happiness with each other.

The only drawback I had with the book, is when I read the first sentence and discovered that I was only going to have half the story with this book - If I wanted to know Jenna and Jake’s whole story I was going to have to read the first book in Ms. Senhaji’s "Sunset Dreams Series", "Sweet Dreams." But I had no problem with that, "Sweet Dreams" was just as fabulous as "Choosing to Dream." I would highly recommend both – just remember to start with "Sweet Dreams."

Amazing job, Jennifer Senhaji!! I look forward to reading more from you in the future

Choosing to dream is a story that will speak to the dreamers that fantasize about having a relationship with a famous gorgeous film star. Jenna is a caring but hard working woman who is bowled away by Jacob, an incredibly hot actor.

Like most women, I've wondered what it would be like to fall in love with a famous man. The attraction of fame is far greater in the mind then reality probably is. Jennifer Senhaji writes a great portrayal of the jealousy. Most women are insecure. It's a sad but true fact. Would many of us be able to handle the idea of our gorgeous man having to do a kissing scene in a film? Or watch as they get hounded by lots of women?

I enjoyed the easy writing style and fell in love with the character of Jake. He was endearing and encouraged Jenna to chase her dream. Something that is so important in relationships.

There were hot scenes that were...hot. Nothing more needs to be said on that score.

All in all, I enjoyed this true love romance. I would happily fall in love with a famous person if they were like Jake. The couple manage to overcome the challenges they are faced with, which is good, because I'm a sucker for a happily ever after.

Great continuation of Jenna and Jake! This books picks up where we left off in Sweet Dreams. What a sweet and spicy story!
I loved reading the continuing journey of love and growth of Jenna and Jake. Most books end with the hero and heroine finally getting together, but we never see what happens the morning after. How do they make it work? Where will they live? Will they get married? I need to know more!!
I love that Ms. Senhaji continues on and answers so many of those questions. And can I just say, Jake is my new book boyfriend! What a big sexy teddy bear. Yum!
I highly recommend this book to anyone who has the I-wish-I-could-date-a-movie-star fantasy, and who wants to get to see more after the I-love-yous.

I was given a copy in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed the second installment to the Sunset Dreams Series. I was hooked on Jakes and Jenna’s story from the first book (which you have to read btw). I loved the relationship between the two and the steamy scenes as well because really who doesn’t like steamy scenes. The relationship dynamics were realistic as well as the challenges their relationship faced. I am all for doing what your heart says and I was quite satisfied with all that I was reading. I was rooting for Jenna and Jake to the very end and I can’t wait until the next book comes out. Keep it up Jennifer Senhaji, I’ll be not so patiently waiting for the next one.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I loved that we continued with the main characters and their relationship after their HEA in the previous novel. It's always great to see how they evolve! I can't wait for a third book in the series.
