Spietato.
Nota dell’
First book by Clara Dunn for me, and it won’t be the last… The way she described the tension between Cady and Artem made my heart race. I love forbidden romances, and being his brother’s girl is one of my favorite tropes. He’s the brother she should have chosen… the one closer to the secrets she’s trying to get, the one who’d definitely make her scream… the one who would fight the world for her. WOW!
There’s something about two people who absolutely should stay away from each other but just can’t stop pushing each other’s buttons, and these two had that in spades.
Cady is an Irish mafia princess sent by her father to get close to the Volkov Bratva and gather information. She’s smart, resourceful, and knows how to handle herself. Nothing about her feels forced. She doesn’t resort to overdone seduction. She knows she’s attractive and she knows how to use it when she needs to. And honestly, Misha’s smile almost worked on her… until she saw Artem. 😏
Artem, on the other hand, sees through her almost immediately. He knows she’s hiding something, and he keeps reminding her that she chose the wrong brother. Their banter, arguments, and that constant push and pull were definitely my favorite part of the book. The chemistry between them was SO good, and I loved watching Artem slowly go from suspicious and hostile to completely protective of Cady.
Misha was charming but the "wrong brother". I hated Cady’s father, but I loved her brothers, and I’m already looking forward to their stories.
Plenty of mafia drama, secrets, danger, possessiveness, and heat. This was a really fun read. I just felt like something was missing for me, maybe some of the events felt a little rushed, but I still really enjoyed it. Recommended.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Cady and Artem have a fun cat and mouse mafia vibe in this book! I loved that she is dating Artem's brother so there's a forbidden element to their attraction. Though her relationship with his brother is more spying than anything. It builds the tension slowly while letting an emotional connection form for a generally detached hero. I enjoyed Cady was intelligent and had strong instincts. Her desire to be free and valuable for more than a marriage pawn felt true to her character and her Irish heritage. This mafia romance felt like it was different from others in a good way and it was an easy escape for me.
The Bratva Betrayal is connected to The Volkov Trilogy.
Cady enters this household with a plan to bring them down. She uses the dumb brother, Misha, in order to accomplish her task. However, his brother, Artem, is not dumb and knows she is up to something nefarious. These two have a lot of banter and intense moments together.
In the Bratva Betrayal, Artem is known as the cold and ruthless enforcer of the Bratva. He makes problems disappear. As soon as his Pakhan tells him something, he does it with no hesitation. He is also always cleaning up his younger brother’s messes who never realizes that what he does is bad for the family. Artem has been suspecting Cady, a woman his brother met a few weeks ago, who is from a rival family. His brother promises that she’s not there to attack them or spy on them. They just get along fine and he’s gonna keep going out with her. One night, he catches her in his office on his laptop and is convinced she was sent to spy on his family. She doesn’t even seem phased by it and she tells him she likes his brother. Artem is not convinced. He starts keeping a close eye on her and starts to get to know her. He thinks she puts on a façade when all she really wants is to be accepted. He starts to desire her, but he would never cross the line even though she could be the enemy. She is still his brother‘s girlfriend, and he will not do that to him.
Cady was sent by her father to find information on the Brava. She’s been really good at playing Artem’s brother but not Artem. She’s actually scared of him, but she refused to show him. She’s also very attracted to him and the more time she sees him, the more she wants him. She can’t let him know what she’s doing because she know he would probably kill her without a second thought. All she wants is her father’s approval, so she will do anything to get it. She knows Artem is on to her but rather than exposing her, he gets closer. He wants to have proof of what she’s doing, but she knows he wants her. Especially when he tells her she chose the wrong brother. He also tells her what they would have had if she had chosen him. If she wanted to get close to the Bratva’s secrets she went the wrong way about it. It’s only a matter of time before they cross the line and that tension between them snaps.
Clara Dunn had me on the edge of my seat. I was rooting for them since the beginning. I kept saying she chose the wrong person. That he didn’t even care about her but all she wanted was those secrets. I felt bad for Cady because she did feel guilty at one point and even wanted Artem but her family always came first. I felt bad for Artem because even though he knew his brother didn’t deserve her, he stayed away from her the way he wanted her. I felt bad that he questioned not exposing her just so no one would hurt her. I loved their chemistry and I loved their banter. I also really loved her brothers. This was definitely an emotional roller coaster. It was filled with drama, heat, danger, suspense, humor, secrets, betrayals, and shocking twists. I am so excited for the next book.
🔥 She Definitely Chose the Wrong Brother 🔥 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 Stars | 🌶️🌶️ 2 Chili Peppers
There is just something about a forbidden romance where two people absolutely should stay away from each other but cannot stop pushing each other's buttons, and Cady and Artem had me hooked! Add in the fact that she's dating his brother while secretly gathering information on the Bratva, and I knew this was going to be messy in the best possible way. 👀🔥
Cady was such a strong FMC. As an Irish mafia princess, she's spent her life trying to prove that she's just as capable and valuable as her brothers, rather than simply being someone her father can use as a pawn. She's smart, resourceful, feisty, and knows how to play the game. I loved that she could hold her own against Artem instead of shrinking beneath his intensity.
And Artem... that man saw straight through her almost immediately. 😂 He's the ruthless Bratva enforcer who fixes everyone else's problems, and from the moment he catches Cady somewhere she definitely shouldn't be, he knows she's hiding something. The suspicion, arguments, banter, and constant push and pull between them were SO GOOD. Every interaction felt like a game of who was going to crack first.
But my favorite part was watching Artem go from suspicious of Cady to fiercely protective of her. He might be possessive and dangerous, but he also recognizes how strong and capable she is. That respect made his protective side hit even harder. And the whole you chose the wrong brother energy? YES. She absolutely did. 😏
The chemistry builds deliciously slowly, and once these two finally stop pretending there isn't something between them, whew! 🔥 Between the forbidden attraction, mafia secrets, family expectations, betrayal, danger, and Artem's touch-her-and-die energy, I flew through this one.
Cady and Artem were such a fun couple to root for, and I'm already intrigued by her brothers and where this world might go next. If you love a strong mafia heroine and a ruthless enforcer who realizes the woman he shouldn't want is exactly the woman he wants to protect, definitely add this one to your list!
Thank you to Clara Dunn and Booksprout for the gifted advanced reader copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
A quick, mildly spicy read. A decent book with lots of potential. Typically Clara Dunn hits it out of the park for me: A decent amount of spice (for you regular people), with a wonderful story that always feels complete.
However, this time I felt like there was a lot of build up for very little reward. Don’t get me wrong, the banter is this book was off the charts! One of the best enemies to lovers banter that I’ve read in a while!
Unfortunately, I felt that there wasn’t a true HEA, sure you get a glimpse of one in the epilogue. But, I felt like the relationship was very forced and rushed. I love an enemies to lovers where I can actually FEEL the love once they get together. I did not get that in this book. Perhaps if it was around 400 pages, like her other books I’ve read, we could have gotten more of that.
I loved the characters and the premise of the story, I was having a blast reading and kept telling my husband how much I loved the characters and story so far. Once I got to the end, I honestly felt confused. I said “this is it? This is how it’s ending? I need more, this doesn’t feel finished. I wanted more for them (the characters).”.
Definitely my favorite characters from Clara, but not my favorite story from her.
*Disclaimer: I am a smutty princess so my smut ratings do not typically match “normal” smut ratings. That being said, for a “normal” person this book is probably a 1.5-2/5 on the spice scale 💖
Everyone thinks they have control. Artem is the Volkov enforcer and the right hand man of Benedekt Volkov. His father is a hard man who uses Artem to do the violent, hard stuff. Artem is his hand of judgement in the organization. Misha is the soft playboy who has been with Cady (Caitlin) Gallagher. She's an Irish mafia princess with 2 brothers who love her and her father who doesn't. To him she has her uses. But she's beginning to draw the line and he doesn't like that a bit. To him she's a chess piece to be moved and used as he sees fit. Her brothers are Rian, the careful, observing brother. The quiet one and probably the most dangerous of the two because of that. The younger brother, Killian is the reckless, hot headed brother who will fight for her if he was to. Misha is a moron and Cady knows that; her father should have aimed her at Artem instead to get intel. But Cady and her father realize that he is the more dangerous one and would catch her right away. Oh, well. He does catch her spying pretty early and just keeps watching. Add to that there is finally some spicy times between them because he just can't resist taking her. Things get really dangerous for Cady when Misha finally gets it that she really doesn't want to marry him and doesn't even really like him. Artem knows even more and more that his brother is a moron and presents several dangerous problems. Great ending with problems taken care of in a surprising way. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Artem and Cady 5 Stars What was supposed to be Cady and Misha in a relationship to begin with turns out that Misha's brother Artem was the one she should of picked to be with. Cady was sent to be a spy on the Volkov Bravata to get intel on who they were involved with and to get the information on how they used there territories to moves their supplies. But on her first night at Misha's penthouse Artem caught Cady on Misha's computer and everything change from there between the two of them. Artem started to pay more attention to her and see what she was up to and it didn't that long to find out that his brother was in debt with someone and that Cady's father set it to give Misha the 5 million dollars as a dowry for his daughter. Once Artem realized it he was into deep with Cady to let her go. Misha goes to Cady's apartment drunk and with someone else in front of her and that's where things go wrong for Misha because he ends up F***ing the girl and telling Cady that he is not going to change once there married and she tells him there is no marriage anymore so he in urns slaps her. She kicks him out and Artem shows up after and see's what happened to her, he then gos after his brother and tells him to leave the city before her brother's find out and kill him. They end up in an arragement after Artem speaks with her Father but it is not about marriage its about a relationship where there are in one.

Give me a strong FMC, a protective Bratva MMC, and enough tension to make me wonder who is going to crack first. 👀
📚 This was such a cute, tension-filled read! The chemistry between Cady and Artem was definitely one of my favorite parts. There was just enough push and pull between them to keep me invested.
📚 I LOVE a strong FMC, and Cady really came through. She wasn’t just strong because the story told me she was—she actually had the personality and backbone to hold her own.
📚 The Bratva aspect was also a lot of fun. Give me danger, secrets, betrayal, and a little double-crossing and I’m in.
📚 I especially loved the way Artem respected Cady. Watching that respect come through toward the end really made a difference for me. There is something about a protective MMC who recognizes the strength of his woman instead of trying to completely overpower her that just works.
📚 The tension and chemistry kept this moving for me, and I really enjoyed watching their relationship develop. It had that sweet spot of attraction, danger, and uncertainty that kept me wanting to see what would happen next.
Overall, this was a fun Bratva romance with great chemistry, a strong FMC, a protective MMC, and plenty of tension. Cady and Artem were an easy couple to root for, and I especially loved the respect Artem showed her by the end.
A cute, spicy, tension-filled read that definitely worked for me. 🖤

I received an ARC from the writer. Thanks a lot Clara.
I love strong female characters, so I liked Cady from the beginning. To show her father that she is not weaker than her brothers, she seduce a member of a rival family, and try to find out about their actions through him.Misha is her target, a playboy with whom a woman like her can easily cope in her cheating. But she didn't plan on his older brother, Artem, who follows her every step and doubts in her love from the start.
Aretem is an enforcer, who cares about the family, and he cares for his brother. He is the one who always jumps in and fixes the Misha mess. And this time he doesn't like Misha's new girlfriend at all, or he just convinces himself of it. She's smart, cheeky, and above all, she chose the wrong brother. Because, he is the one who knows the secrets which she wants to discover. "You choose the wrong brother." 😎 I love this man. 🫣 He tried in every way to keep distance between them, even though sparks would be fly in every conversation between them, after all, she was his brother's girlfriend, and he knew where he belongs to, not next to her.
4⭐ Because - I wanted a few more of their conversations and scenes. And, I wanted the book to last a little longer, It was a little short for me.🙈 🙈🙈 Recommendation from me for all Clara books.
Cady Gallagher is an Irish Mob Princess. She’s in her late twenties and she’s on a mission to infiltrate the Volkov/Makarov Bratva. How is she going to do that? By sleeping with the enemy. She figures they Misha is the easy target. His a playboy. Always on the prowl. Thinking with the wrong parts. Or, not thinking at all really. Cady’s dad is Colin Gallagher. He’s been trying to get leverage to use to gain more control. Can Cady find what she needs to give him what he wants?
Artem Makarov is Misha’s older brother. His been saving his butt since they were kids and his done covering for him. Artem is Benedikt Volkov’s right hand man and his enforcer. The Russian Mafia. He knows the second he catches Cady on Misha’s laptop at 3am, that she’s up to no good. But there’s something more to it. He can’t keep his eyes off her. Thinking about how Misha doesn’t deserve her. When push comes to shove, Artem shows up and protects her like she deserves.
I have loved every book of this series and I think this might be the best one yet. It’s not all that dark but the tension between Cady and Artem is next level. The protective brothers. The brothers girlfriend. It all just works and works well. I can’t wait to see what’s next!
I received this book as an ARC and am leaving an honest review.
Cady is dating the brother of Bratva enforcer Artem—but not for the reasons anyone thinks. Her father has sent her in to spy, and when Artem catches on, he immediately suspects she’s hiding something.
Cady and Artem both know they shouldn’t have feelings for each other, and they try to ignore the attraction growing between them. But when Cady is being forced into an arranged marriage with Artem’s brother, things change. Neither of them wants to see that marriage happen, and suddenly those feelings they’ve been trying to deny become a lot harder to ignore.
I really loved Cady and Artem’s chemistry and watching all that tension build between them. Cady is completely against the arranged marriage, and Artem finds a way to help her avoid it—while still getting exactly what he wants…HER. 😏
The forbidden attraction, Bratva danger, tension, and possessive energy had me hooked. I loved watching these two finally stop fighting what was happening between them!
📚 ARC REVIEW I received an advance copy of The Bratva Betrayal in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Cady, the Irish mafia princess is dating Misha who is part of the Russian bratva. Misha is known for being a notorious playboy & yet he still keeps using Cady. When she’s busted for snooping in Misha’s laptop by Artem, the Volkov’s enforcer, he makes it his mission to find out what info she’s looking for so he spends most of his time with her, keeping her away from his family’s business. Things get more interesting when Misha’s clueless to Cady & Artem flirting with the awareness they have an attraction which grows.
I liked how this story has 2 mafia groups who are enemies but they realize they need to cooperate & help each other from another major enemy that’s out to destroy both of them. Cady’s stuck in this mess & is treated like a bargaining chip, not as a person with feelings & a voice to decide what she wants for her future. It was easy reading, keeping me glued to the pages & needing to finish this book in one sitting. Spending more time with the enemy proves to be a game changer resulting with a HEA with the better-matched brother.

4.25⭐️ 2.5🌶️ ARC REVIEW: Bratva Betrayal 📖 📖 by Clara Dunn✨
🖤Morally gray MMC 🖤”Mine” energy 🖤Protective obsession 🖤Feisty Irish Mob Princess x 🖤Brody Russian enforcer 🖤Touch her and ☠️ vibes
An Irish princess vs Russian enforcer and the wrong boyfriend who is the brother she is hiding behind? Yes please! Cady aka Lisichka is a feisty FMC and has been told she is only useful when she produces info for her family unlike her brothers who are valued always. Artem is the enforcer always fixing things for his family and never complains. Misha has never had to do anything and lived in Artems shadow. The tension and banter between Artem and Cady is fantastic and hot. The spice is a slow burn but once it hits 🥵🔥 it’s perfect. All possessive “mine” energy.
“You’ll never be a pawn for someone else’s gain. You’re just… mine.”
“arguing with Artem about safety is like arguing with a wall with opinions.”
This was a quick, very enjoyable read.
I received an ARC copy from The Author. Thank you, Clara, for giving me the opportunity to read this novel and share my honest review.
The Bratva Betrayal is an enemies to lovers romance that is a standalone that follows the dangerous course taken by Irish Mafia princess Caitlin Gallagher who is currently dating Misha Volkov and just got caught on his laptop by brother Artem the Volkov enforcer. She was sent to infiltrate the Volkov family and steal secrets, but she also isn’t a fool and manages to talk her way out of the laptop incident which Artem doesn’t believe was innocent and is just waiting for the right moment to present itself before pouncing. Neither expected the chemistry that began to flame between them, making the game turn much more complicated. Enjoyed the story as tensions and intrigue mount with drama, emotion, Mafia dynamics, family dynamics, passion, and surprises. A totally engaging read that stays immersive up until the very exciting conclusion.

This book is a standalone novel, but set in the world of the Volkovs (from the Volkov Trilogy). You do not have to have read that series to follow along in this book!!
I enjoyed Cady's story!! There's a bit of a love triangle between 2 brothers - Artem & Misha... Cady starts out together with Misha... but Artem keeps on hanging around & making comments about how she should have chosen him instead...
I like how their story played out. The book is fast paced. I like all the characters - Cady's family is Irish and the MMCs are part of the Bratva.
The book is told in a dual 1st person POV, between Cady & Artem.
Spice level: 3/5
*Dark Mafia/Bratva Romance *romantic suspense *love triangle *she's part of the Irish Mafia *the MMCs are brothers *the MMCs are part of the Bratva *forced proximity *enemies to lovers *age gap *possessive/protective Alpha MMC
Thank you to the author (Clara Dunn) & Booksprout for the ARC. All opinions are my own.
I really enjoyed this book and the writing. I loved both characters, especially their back-and-forth banter and chemistry. I was a little wary at first because of the situation Cady found herself in, without giving any spoilers, but I thought it was handled really well.
Artem was definitely the star of the book for me. Sexy, lethal and just completely irresistible. I really loved his character and the dynamic between him and Cady.
My only criticism, and I think it’s actually a good one, is that it finished too soon. I’m hoping we’ll hear more from them in the next book because I wasn’t quite ready to say goodbye to them yet.
Overall, I really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it. I’ll be reading the other books in this series and will definitely be checking out more of Clara Dunn’s books.
Sexy, dangerous and full of chemistry.
⭐ 5/5.

Cady is a the daughter of an Irish the Irish mafia Gallagher family. Her father is using her as a pawn to obtain information on the Russian Volkov family To obtain this information she is dating Misha Makarov playboy brother to enforcer Artem. It doesn’t take long for Artem to realize what Cady is doing and they start a contentious relationship where they push each other to the limit while trying to ignore their obvious attraction for each other. Artem sticks to her like glue and she responds by defying him at every turn Then Cadys father demands she marry Misha and she realizes she’s done being pushed, controlled and treated like she doesn’t matter. Artem is the only one who has ever considered what she actually wants. Artem and Cady each have unresolved issues to deal with and it’s fun to see how things are resolved. Lots of romance, intrigue and suspense. Great ending,.

5 Stars for The Bratva Betrayal by ( new for me ) author Clara Dunn
I really enjoyed this read ! From the cover and book blurb to the amazing characters!
I will admit that at first Artem was not the most likable character but you can tell he is going to fall hard for Cady Gallagher his brother’s ( for now) girlfriend.
Cady is gorgeous , polished and poised - secretly helping the Gallagher family to discover something they can use on the Volkov Bratva.
Artem knows she is deceiving his brother catching her on his laptop - but what exactly is she up to ?
Fast paced enemies to lovers storyline- great chemistry! Loved this read ! I will definitely check out more of this authors work !

The Bratva Betrayal Spice: 🌶🌶🌶🌶 Chemistry:💣💣💣💣 Humor: 😂😂 Plot: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Cady is an Irish Mafia princess helping her family infiltrate the Russian mafia through Misha, the brother of their right hand man, Artem. Artem quickly sees through her games and falls before he knows whats hit him.
This slow burn has plenty of chemistry to make the wait worth it. I loved the twists, definitely wasn't expecting the ways Artem pushed Cady's buttons, but absolutely loved it. This book slightly strayed from how this storyline would play out in other books, and that was a good thing as it fit the characters better.
Overall, a great read, and I look forward to Killian's story.

G Artem Volkov is of the Russian Bratva. Benedikt Volkov’s enforcer. And he’s on to Cady Gallagher the Irish mob princess dating his brother. But get complicated because he’s very into her. Cady is dating Misha Makarov. Brother to Artem Volkov. Sleeping with Misha to steal intel from the bratva. It’s to save my family from ruin, and possibly, his from death. But she never took in to account feelings developing for Artem. And falling for him. This is a jump right in story line, wonderfully written. With characters who are so real and likable it enriches the story.

She meets her match when it comes to Artem. Cady and Artems chemistry is so good . It's a good storyline and the characters are matched well.

Misha goes to far and is exiled from the city. Artem has been keeping Cady safe even when she was seeing Misha and falls for her himself. This is a great book!.

Artem and Cady took a moment to warm to. Artem is an Enforcer and brutal. He knows Cady is acting suspicious but the Enforcer in him isn't letting her get away with anything.
Cady is with Artem's brother initially. But the attraction is spicy and sparks fly between the two. Especially when Cady provokes him.
So well done i loved the intensity in this. It was well written. I loved it all and I highly recommend this book!.

I was lucky enough to receive an arc copy of the book and oh boy was I not disappointed. I love mafia romance especially enemies to lovers and this ticked all my boxes. The yearning!!! Oh man oh man is artem book boyfriend material. Cady being with his brother and the fact that their love was forbidden!!!! I ate it up! Cady is such a strong fmc and she’s no pushover. I loved watching them navigate their relationship and the trials it took to get to the point where they could freely be together.
'This story features an age-gap romance, forced proximity, forbidden attraction, a possessive Bratva enforcer, an Irish mafia princess, touch-her-and-die energy, and a brother’s-girlfriend twist.'
The characters were very complex and compelling and complicated and absolutely perfect together. Plot was intriguing and intense and well paced. World building was excellent and expertly drawn. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend!

I really enjoyed this book. I liked how the author gave Cady an I won't back down from anybody attitude. The back and forth between Cady and Artem was great! It was nice to see how somebody that doesn't do relationships slowly starts to come to the realization that he wants to with her. I thought this book had a really good storyline. I read it as a standalone without reading the first book, but will definitely be going back and reading that one! I also can't wait to read the next book when it comes out!.

Once I got into this book I really loved it. I will admit the first 2 chapters I struggled with a little bit on getting into them but once I did I flew through this book.
Cady is the only daughter to the Irish Mob boss Colin Gallagher. Just like any daughter is a mafia/mob family Cady is seen as a bargaining chip and she does everything she can to be useful so shes not seen as only that.
Artem had me giggling to myself because man oh man is he stubborn.
I really enjoyed this book and look forward to who is next in the line up!
Cady and Artem were not supposed to be because she was "dating" his brother. But when Artem catches her snooping his brother computer he knows she is up to something. He is determined to find out what. The banter between these two is entertaining especially because it is more like a intimate intense attraction they are both fighting.
Nit to mention his brother is a complete wimp and sleeps with anything. He is helpless and looks for his brother to clean up his messes. Artem is broody dangerous but can't seem to keep distance from Cady. Enjoyable read.
