An excellent addition to the Xarc’n Warriors series! Nellie is hauling produce from their compound in Florida to New Franklin, where they will exchange it for things they need. Plus, she will get to see her sister again. But half way there their shuttle is attacked and shot down by the New Earth Militia. Fortunately she is rescues by a lone Xarc’n warrior before the New Militia gets there to take her captive.

Var’n is from the third contingent of Xarc’n warriors that disobeyed orders and came to earth in the hopes of finding a mate. He has been in hiding for six years, afraid if he is found he will be sent back to fight on another planet. When he goes to the shuttle that he saw explode, looking for survivors, he finds Nellie unconscious. He takes her back to his hideout to save her. But as soon as he touches her he starts to purr, indicating that she could be his mate. He is excited about this, Nellie, not so much! She has spent the years since the scounge came to earth avoiding any kind of emotional involvement, having lost all of her friends and family, except her sister. But he promises to help her get to New Franklin to her sister so she is stuck with him.

This is a great book full of emotion, love, and danger. As usual Lynnea does an excellent job of telling their story, never loosing you interest. Don’t miss it!

When you think the series may be hitting an end this amazing author breaths life right back into our favourite world. When I saw that Lynnea had put out a new book in this series I was sooo excited! This book surpasses any expectations I even had for it. You can't help but absolutely love Var'n he is everything you would want in a mate. Gentle, protective, and puts his mate first. Nellie has always held herself separate from the people she was surrounded with as she found she kept losing people in her life and was trying to guard herself. There is just something about this purring purple gentle warrior that slowly makes her heart melt. I absolutely loved everything about this read. The introduction to new Hunters, and the possibility of more stories. I loved how this one doesn't have all the electronics working so Var'n has to old school with his translator as his isn't working and this couple have to try and communicate the old school way. I love how Lynnea writes these scenes as this new couple get to know one another. This is the perfect halloween theme cinnamon roll romance. You won't regret getting this read!! Be aware that once you start you won't be able to put this book down until you are done!!!!

When the trading shuttle transporting goods to New Franklin is attacked by the NEM and split in two, Nellie survives and is found by a Xarc'n warrior, Var'n, who helps her find her way back to the shuttle to try and find her friends who had been on the shuttle, despite his translator not working properly causing issues with understanding her. When the mate bond is activated Nellie isn't happy. She has lost too many people she loves in the bugpocalypse and has built a wall around her heart, not wanting to go through losing someone she loves again.

When the NEM attack them again, she realizes what she has done and what she is missing out on, but it may be too late for her and Var'n.

I love reading about the Xarc'n warriors and their attempts to find human female mates. This novella combines that with the eccentricities of Halloween and the need to carry on despite the dangers that surround them. Spicy and full of drama, this is perfect for a quick read.

More connections.
I have really enjoyed each of the interconnected stories in this series. It is wonderful to see a bit of backstory and context shared in each novel so that reading previous ones are not required (although it does make reading about previous characters and situations much more enjoyable!) Nellie and Var’n were wonderful characters, each embodying individual concerns about what finding and committing to a partner in this dangerous “bugpocalypse” world could mean. I’m always a bit amazed seeing alien biology, and traditions blended with human ones! That, and having the event take place during Halloween with all the costumes and carved pumpkin traditions just added to the smile worthy moments.
I read an ARC and voluntarily and sharing my honest review.

Time to come in out of the cold..

The danger is real in this latest in the Xarc’n warriors series!! Nellie and her team are doing a supply run from Florida on the way to New Franklin when her shuttle is literally split in two after being shot down. Var’n rescues her and the race is on to find her teammates all while she battles with her feelings. I love how devoted Var’n is it’s always wonderful to be back with the New Franklin gang. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

I love all of Lynnea Lee's books and this one is no exception! Forced proximity leading to an awkward mating bond, the female character absolutely not wanting any emotional attachments, in a semi-post apocalyptical world (semi because the bugs and some humans are still causing problems)

There was a natural arc for this female character to come around to the mate bond, and of course I always sympathize with the males. Tragic back stories but still holding onto hope for their future.

I'm planning on starting this series all over again!

ARC review

Another book in the wider series by Lynnea Lee.

A short novella, which you can read without having read all the books. Explanation is given to bring you up to speed.

She isn't looking for a relationship but to see her sister and do the trade delivery.
He came to earth like all other hunters looking for a mate...

One destroyed ship changes it all

Book quote:
“No,” I rumbled, my voice low. “That was not a thank you. That was a promise. And when we find your friends. There will be more kisses.” She chuckled. “Deal.”

Hunter's Harvest by Lynnea Lee is a fun Halloween romp. Nellie isn't ready for love, but she finds it any way when the transport she's in is shot down and she's found by a Xarc'n warrior. Var'n has been hiding for six years, but finds an injured human woman at a crash site and knows she's destined to be his. Once they are rescued and taken to another human settlement, Nellie is reunited with her sister and the mating bond glues Nellie and Var'n together, and the happily ever after begins.

“Hunter’s Harvest” by Lynnea Lee

-This is a spicy Halloween romance filled with danger, warmth, and hope. I received a free copy and am voluntarily sharing my honest thoughts.
Var’n’s gentle, protective nature makes him a lovable mate for Nellie, who fears losing those she loves. Their struggles with a faulty translator add humor and sweetness as he slowly wins her guarded heart.
A quick, heartfelt read with action, familiar faces, and a nice happy ending.

Cute, short, and steamy Xarc’n warriors novella from the always entertaining Lynnea Lee. This story focuses on Var’n and human Nellie.

It’s not necessary to have read the prior books in the series to enjoy this book, but it wouldn’t hurt either. There’s plenty of action and danger, and of course, fated mates doing what fated mates do.

I was generously furnished an advance reader copy from the author, and I’m sharing my honest review.
