Fantastic resource for all the foundations of running a reading workshop. If you are fortunate enough to get a Reading Units of Study kit, I highly recommend that you NOT skip this book!

Intense. I have 23 pages of notes. Need to figure out the new game plan before school starts.

It gives a greater understanding into the reader’s workshop but it’s way too wordy. I feel like the book could be half the length if she took out all the unnecessary wording and lengthy explanations. As a guide it should be concise and to the point so that I can implement quickly instead of spending days sorting through info and fodder.
