An RM. WW. II. Military Aviation Action Adventure (MB)
RM. had penned a World War II aviation action adventure title "Mosquito Bites" . Our intrepid air warrior after many weeks in physical training after his incurred during his last engagement in the Mariannas is assigned the the Royal Fleet Air Arm to evaluate the British Aircraft built by the US. He finishes his assignment and request permission to fly a Spitfire and Hawker. Afterwards he flies the Mosquito. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS
In book 2 of the Watson Saga David is sent to California to recover his strength doing rehabilitation. There he is surprised to find Rachel. As his strength builds, he is declared fit for duty and his temporary orders arrive sending him to England. I like authors style of writing with David's thoughts becoming part of the story. Again looking forward to reading book 3.
Characters were ok, but the series read like a high school beginning writing class project. The action parts were pretty good, but the dialog is lacking. I read all 3 books in the series in one sitting, they could have been combined into one book and maybe it would have been more enjoyable. I have read several other books by this author there were much better. I wonder if anyone proof reads these books before they are published.
A Mosquito Bite is a great story about a truly wonderful airplane flown by the British in World War two. Many believe one of the greatest achievements by the British aircraft manufacturers. Add in the personal touch of a Navy Nurse and it is a home run. Cannot wait for book two!!!
A TOUCHING & INTERESTING STORY TO INTRODUCE A NEW SERIES ON WWII AIR WARFARE & THE HEROES WHO FIGHT IT & MORE.
A Surprising Story in more Ways Than One. From Action in The Pacific, to Medical Angel's that give care to The Hero, to a developing Romance in San Diego, to a tour of British War Planes in England, to The Mosquito's Bite. Excellent Read. Nice change of pace too.
This a fun filled read. From pilot training to the actual combat narrative. Throw in a little love story then a test pilot ingood Ol England testing thier aircraft and then to end it with the Lt. Shooting down 2 German ME-109. Awesome read.
Quite a change of emphasis and a welcome one at that. Spoiled by small omissions of joining words and seemingly put together by a machine since spelling errors occur like sale for sail.
These 2 books both really made me mad just as I settled into a good read they were over. WTH both moved fast and were never dull always felt like something more was going to happen but never felt let down
This book was a real page turner. I really enjoyed the story and found the lack of direction to the pilot as just the thing that a headquarters would do. It just needs more complaining by HQ to make it more realistic. Great book.
Very interesting story about an injured navy pilot that returns to flying but I'm an unusual way. Evaluating Royal Navy planes with a surprising ending.
This is more a love story, and not as good as the other two books in the series, as for the title: The Mosquito is only mentioned seemingly as an afterthought.
I have now read two of the installments; my only complaint is that I wish they were longer. I really enjoy the character development, interactions, backstories, etc. now, on to book three.
