How do you choose? How do you keep from hurting the ones you love when you know your heart belongs with both of them? Seven years ago Arie Riley married Easton Levi, current heart-throb of the NASCAR Cup series. She made a commitment to him. She gave her heart and soul to another. Her love is heavy. Consuming. And it’s inherently tied to two people. Arie thought she had made her mind up. She chose that Darlington-determined boy that wouldn’t let her forget he was more than just a Midwestern-wheeler searching for the spotlight. When Arie is offered a job with the World Racing Group, she thinks this is her chance for independence. Only she’s not prepared for that dusty feeling clinging to her skin when her life starts spinning out of control. So why is she suddenly finding comfort in the country-boy crush, Rager Sweet, who stole her heart ten years ago? In the public eye, the glory is high, and defeat, it’s low. When Arie least expects it, she’s left with her wild-hearted ways and the decisions she’s made.

Shey gives us another brilliant Riley family book!! It is full of emotion, brutal honesty, love, real problems and funny times.
She is able to bring these characters to life and make you feel like you are living with this family, or that you really want to be a part of them! :) This is Arie, Rager and Easton's book and it is everything great! It starts off in part of the last book, so your emotions are brought out again right away, and follows down for a couple years!
I loved the length, the racing words in the beginning of each chapter, and the different POV's. can't wait for more of this family!
I have NEVER like Arie!!! I am so disappointed in this book!!! The last book was amazing and this just fell so flat...a love triangle 6 years later.....
Again, these people are part of my family and their pains and their joys are my own. Never having my heart held by 2 very different people, I can't imagine the pain and the choices Arie goes through. Or Rager going for years knowing she belonged with him but belonged to another. And as much as I grew to not like Easton, his heart was involved too and broken right along with everyone else's.
Ahhh Rager and Arie I love their story reading about young love and how it grows to something that you can't ignore I cannot wait to hopefully read more about what's in store for them in the future!!
Reading about Arie and Rager and their hot passionate love just amazing bring fantasy to life with her words. I am blown away by the intensity of their love
Since I was recommended book one of this series, I have absolutely been a fan. Of the author, of her writing style, how her personal love of the racing world was woven through not only the core of each book and this incredible family of characters, but in every chapter introduction taking a racing term and relating them to certain aspects of each chapter. Each book in the series makes you fall harder and faster for this family of characters that completely come to life and feel as real as if you were a part of them. Arie's journey was an interesting one due to her situation, and damn if Rager's feelings don't wrap around you in the way that Jameson's did, way back when his introduction rocked my world. Out of the maaaannnnnyyyy series books I've read through the years, I don't think I've felt anxiety when thinking about the final book coming out, as I do with this one. Because I just can't imagine ever saying goodbye and never hearing from these hilariously dirty and fiercely loving people again. Each book pulls at me to go back to book 1 and read them all over again. Just might have to go full throttle on that one. Congrats Shey, on another addition to this family's journey that of course, at some point, had me bawling and out of control with feels.(When I hit up the song references while reading, towards the end, it was over for me lol!) Please get struck with the inspiration to never let the Riley family leave our beautiful book world by way of another hilarious story!
This book should be given more than 5 stars. Way more. I have loved this series since Happy Hour where Shey made me fall in love with Jameson & the rest of the Riley clan and made me laugh like never before. I have had an hate hate relationship with Arie since The Rookie and went into this story thinking it would not change. But I was so wrong. There still were times I wanted to throat punch & slap her but in the end she won me over. I am glad that I got to truly understand and get to know her. The Arie that Rager brings out in her is the Arie who deserves him and I know will love him the way he deserves to be loved.
Getting inside Rager's head was a dream come true and made me love him even more. And I could so relate to Abigale. I cried when he and Jameson had their talk. This book made me laugh so hard sometimes that my husband thought I was crazy. I was worried & angry about some of the things that were assumed in Fast Times but so glad that in Open Wheel we learned that everything is not always what it seems. This is by far one of the best books I have read and trust me I have read a a lot.
Would I recommend this book/series: yes and all future or past books by this author. Shey is now on my personal list of all-time favorite must-read authors. So please start reading this series. And if you stopped after a prior book please restart the series or pick up where you left off. You will not be disappointed.
Amazing!!! So for the first time EVER I put down a book I was reading to read another. So I have to apologise to Kaylea Cross but the Riley family has been with me longer and I can't say no to Jameson. Sorry I went right back to yours after :) Open Wheel was awesome! As always the Rileys and clan did not disappoint. It gave much awaited closure to something that has been building a long time Between Arie Easton and Rager, which I was on both sides of the fence for and was completely happy with the outcome. I smiled, yelled, cried and laughed my way through this book in one day obviously I couldn't put it down. This was yet another incredible book in the Racing On the Edge Series. I mean you know its good when my husband and my co-workers all know who Jameson Riley and his family are and their life stories right? Thanks Shey can't wait for more. P.S. Casten and Rosa kill me lol
This is Arie's second book in the series and I found that I loved it so much more than the first. This is a love triangle kind of story and at times that is complicated and messy. This book made me understand the 3 characters much more and while I didn't agree with some of their decisions I understood why they made the choices they did.
I found that Arie and Ragers relationship reminded me a lot of Jameson and Sway and it was perhaps the story that would have taken place had Sway married someone else originally. Rager and Aries story is a hot read with a guarantee to make you fall head over heals for the badass with blue eyes and black hair.
Another 5 star from Shey who continues to make us all fall in love with this legendary racing family.
Rager! Oh my gosh. This boy is a dream. And you get a whole book just about him. I love Shey. She made my day, my week, heck my year when she wrote this book. I was scared though, I will admit it. I mean look what she did in previous stories. She teased us mercilessly. But I was very happy with this and what happened. It was perfect. I need more Riley now please. Now I said!
This book was the perfect addition to the Racing on the Edge Series! Shey made me laugh out loud, cry, want to smack a character or 2, swoon, and fan myself from some steamy moments! I am so happy Arie got her HEA! :) I loved the storyline and the way the characters developed! Like I've said before, this is my most favorite series I have ever read and I can't get enough!
