Written as a documentary, whether real or fabricated is hard to say. Each story in the collection is incomplete with no ending. That makes the collection scary to the extent of the reader’s imagination. By providing partial and incomplete information, it lets the brain do its job of constructing, making sense of, and hypothesizing the whole story. An interesting read.
Finished reading this with so much fear… It felt just like a horror TV show adapted into a novel! But honestly, maybe it wasn’t even that scary—I’m just easily scared. I didn’t scan any of the QR codes in the book because I was worried I’d get cursed after watching the clips… Such a classic scare tactic, but it totally worked on me!"
As a fan of the Youtube channel, I really didn’t expect the book to turn out to be just an obnoxious retelling of the videos that totally sapped its material of any mystique. Absolutely unnecessary and disappointing to say the least.
