A new department of police which solves crimes using the technique of logical communication—a method that allows communication through walls, over long distances and simultaneously with a lot of people. It uses nothing but the person’s surroundings. And just as peculiar as the method, are the crimes they solve.
Vaibhav Mukim is 32 and works in an advertising agency. He wrote his first science fiction fantasy at the age of 24. Since then, every book has been a different adventure, he claims.
Platform: The book is about the story of Parker, Vettel and Pratt, the police officers of crime branch who are indulged in solving each case logically and with innovative way by reading the mind of others. These officers have highly sharp mind and ability to read the mental state of persons standing at front or residing far away. Officers solve the cases and reduce the crime by visualizing things in mind and taking action before happening. Also, story goes with Chimney, the only family of Parker.
Strength of the Book: Theme selection is very nice and drags the attention of readers. Narration is done is straight forward way without creating nonsense. Fragment in 28 chapters of mind catchy title having 6 sections, this book completely entertains the readers and does not let them be confused. Story telling style is really amazing and unique. Ending is also done in best possible way by solving mysteries and letting a wave of satisfaction over the face of readers. Dialogue writing is very clear and focused on point being described. Weakness of the book: Story goes so fast. Irrelevant chapters are also added. Much of persons are introduced which are useless and not required. After the first half of narration, story falls down and fabricates with unacceptable chapters. Proper justification is also not done with each character. Conclusion: Author Vaibhav Mukim has great ability to make unknown things familiar with his words. Story suits best to the title and cover page of the book. This book will surely be loved by persons who read some different kind of fiction stories but it will disappoint readers who die for literature, love and all. Vaibhav has played his role very well in the book and presented a concept which is out of universe. Reviewing Point: 3 out of 5 Review By: - Kamal Paneru
Preview: Completing a relay of science fiction I picked the second book by Vaibhav Mukim. since my last Sci-Fi read ‘LINE’ also by Vaibhav I have started to like this genre. I was appalled by the theory of how beautifully crafted a human psychi is. And here this Author has taken my though to another different level. This a neat little idea in a neat little book. The cover of the book aptly suggest the theme. And I really appreciate the idea of how Vaibhav subtly introduced his book in the blurb.
Review:
Book is probably a touch generous coming in at just over a hundred pages but don’t let that spoil your fun, what you have here is actually a twisted tale, intriguing in the telling and packs a punch other books only hope to imitate.
The Author tells the tale of three investigating officers who uncover crime by studying the brains of the accused. In literal sense by reading the psychi. Their knowledge and techniques knows no boundaries, their urge to decipher mind and the working of brains helps them nab crime before they are committed. This pre-empt art of analysing the mentality of the criminal is the actual protagonist in this tale.
The plot is new and untouched, the idea is un explored and hence the writing seems fresh and virgin.
With the advancement in the field of technology, the techniques are also evolving. With this book, the author shows the importance and relevance of ‘logical communication’ in solving the mysteries. The narration is lucid, the dialogs are short but precise. The cover of the book is apt. There are no major syntactical errors.
The blurb is interesting. But somewhere the reader loses the connection with the plot. Initially the story runs at a manageable pace but suddenly there is a switch in the scene as well as the characters, and that leaves the reader befuddled. The character sketch of all the characters is limited but that is fine as long as the plot is gripping.
However, the whole approach of logical communication and solving cases is inadmissible. If anybody thinks this kind of strategy will solve the cases then that person is probably living in a cloud-cuckoo land. Logical communication in ‘Logicops’ is equivalent to ability to read body gestures and predict what is going on in the other person’s head. I did not find the concept palatable.
Nonetheless, good effort by the author. Best wishes!
It was a while since I have accepted books for reviewing. This is the second book I have accepted to review, after Tat Tvam Asi by Pinky Acharya.
I have read quite a few books from Frog Books. From what I could guess, they are all self-published. That explains the quality of the book. The physical quality, I mean, The poor cover design for almost all the books from the publishers............................ (Read the whole review on my blog.)

Length of 100 pages, clears one thing that the story is going to be fast paced. Blurb says that the book will touch science fiction genre. Author has actually explored a pretty new arena for writing his book. The plot was excellent but left untouched for perfection. Some side stories to make the reader believe in this tale of fiction, would have created a great difference. The depth in characters was missing. Overall the book was a nice read but could have been much better. Kudos to the author to write on such a bold plot.
The author tried to make the plot dark but made it over complicated and out of the reach of a normal person. There was no fun at all reading this book.
