Seventeen-year-old Meg Flannigan is recovering from a broken heart.
The last thing she wants or needs is another relationship. Or so she thought.
Asher Davidson isn't like Meg's cheating ex-boyfriend. Ash is so sweet and patient with Meg. Maybe too patient. But he might be exactly what she needs to heal and discover herself again.
Find out how it all began in this prequel novella to Perfect For You.

Ashelyn Drake is a contemporary romance author. While it’s rare for her not to have either a book in hand or her fingers flying across a laptop, she also enjoys spending time with her family. She believes you are never too old to enjoy a good swing set and there’s never a bad time for some dark chocolate. She also writes speculative fiction as Kelly Hashway.
I was shocked how quick the book was but it was good.
*spoilers*
Ash was sweet I couldn't imagine a better person for meg.
He was * Opening doors for her *Not letting her pay on the date *Refusing a girl who flirted with him *Letting her choose the movie *And not forcing her into a relationship
I think meg is lucky to have a gentlemen like ash she needs someone like ash after the idiot she went out with.
I love ashs and megs friends they are both private and funny I can't wait to read prefect for you.
Meg is still healing from her breakup when Asher Davidson swoops in. He's an all-around perfect guy. I fell for him a little bit when he tells Meg when he first started falling for her. This is a YA story all about mixed signals and high school love.
Side Note: I don't think I'll read Perfect For You because I don't like love triangles and would rather believe that Meg and Ash have a cute, happy relationship without another guy suddenly getting into the mix.

Review
Falling For You is the companion novella (a prequel if you will) to Perfect for You by Ashelyn Drake. It’s a Young Adult Romance told from the point of view of Meg, the female protagonist.
I haven’t read the original novel that this prequels, so I have no background on the characters and what takes place for them in the future. I only had this one to go on and honestly, I’m rather happy that I picked them up this way because I’m getting to see how they came to be before jumping in and seeing how they end up.
This book feeds the YA beast in me. I am always on the lookout for YA books that are cute, sweet, funny and can hold my attention and this little novella does that and more. I was hooked almost instantly, both with Meg and the boy that she eventually allows herself to fall for, Ash.
How cute are these two seriously? Between Ash wanting to give her time because she doesn’t exactly make a habit of dating or even hanging out with the guys at her school, so keeping things awkward and Meg freaking out in typical young girl fashion trying to see what the truth is behind his mixed signals, I was in heaven.
I remember being this awkward. Sure my experiences weren’t exactly like this, but the way they both act sure was. It was such a refreshingly real and adorable story. The only thing I hated about this was that it was over far too soon.
Thankfully, I’ve got a full length book for these two to jump into. Which I’m gonna end this review and go do now because awww, I need more of this adorable couple in my life.
Ashelyn Drake is a new author to me, but if her writing style remains in other books the way it does here, she’s gonna have another fan girl to add to the list, because the pacing, the style of writing and how she needed to nail these characters for their ages spot on, was perfection.
So much for love for this little gem. I think any YA fan would love this!
I really enjoyed this prequel novella to Perfect For You, which I already read. Anytime I read a series, I get that cozy feeling getting reacquainted with particular characters and situations. Meg, Grayson, and Ash are wonderful characters. This YA read is short, sweet, and romantic.
Since I found You by Ashelyn Drake is a full lenghth, standalone romance novel. Meet Alex Wilkes, he´s a reporter with the local newspaper. Whitney Stillwater is a highschool teacher. Her heart belongs to the art. When Alex investigates and writes a article about a mural, he meets Whitney and he´s smitten. He can´t get her out of his head. She´s the secret "guerilla " painter who paints walls all over the town. Both have crazy chemistry. But then Alex makes a grave mistake and Whitney doesn´t know if she has a future with him at all. He would do everything to get her back. And bam, he oversteps again. Since I Found You is written in a dual POV. I started reading and was captivated. I like the writing, the characters and the story. I give 4,5 stars. Thank you, Ashelyn Drake !
Highschool heartbreak sucks, and we all know it. But with the help of her best friend Grayson, and her soon-to-be-more-than-friend Ash, Meg might just find herself healing, moving on, and finding herself again after Derrick cheated on her. Every girl needs a best friend that's willing to rearrange someone's face for them. Grayson is certainly that friend for Meg. Ash finds out as much when Grayson threatens him, which is comical to read.
This story is less than 50 pages, but it was a refreshing little read that's been in my Kindle library for 4 years waiting for me to pick it up.
If you're looking for a feel-good little YA romance, this is certainly the story for you.
Thought it was a such a sweet short story, loved Ash!! Im already about to start the rest of their story 😁 I would say the transition between thoughts for Meg could be a little smoother, but overall I’m excited to read the next and am a new fan 😁
The life of a teenage girl can be filled with uncertainties, especially when it concerns boys. Meg has already had one boy prove that he could not be trusted, so she is wary of getting into another relationship. But sometimes the heart overrules the mind. I thoroughly enjoyed this story of young adult romance. Ashelyn Drake makes every single moment come across as very realistic for this age group, as the characters face situations that are constantly believable and often emotional. FALLING FOR YOU is a charmingly delightful story of budding love. I do wish this book was longer. It still a great book!
I have been wanting to dig into Perfect for You for a while now. I'm glad that I ran across this free novella before purchasing it. I liked Meg and Ash as characters. I loved the friendship between Meg and Grey.
I just purchased Perfect for You and look forward to digging in to it. I hope I enjoy it just as much as this little look into Meg's life.
How fun to see how Meg and Asher first got together in Ashelyn Drake's FALLING FOR YOU. A sweet read whether or not you've read PERFECT FOR YOU (this novella is a prequel to that one). I was kind of a Noah fan, but this may just put me on team Asher.
Though it was (and felt) very short, it was cute. However, the story felt kind of flat and I must say I expected more to happen. The writing was ok-to-good. :) All in all, a good read for a rainy Sunday.
This book was so great I liked the confusion of like does he like me does he not situation and this was such a good book I loved it and I have nothing bad to say about it such a good book
