Frontier Ghosts: A Coogan Mystery

by Michael Cardwell

When a ghost from the past refuses to stay buried, U.S. Marshal Danny Coogan is pulled into a case that doesn’t make sense, and that someone powerful doesn’t want solved.
What begins as a routine eviction turns darker with every step. Missing persons with no trail. Bodies surfacing where they shouldn’t. And secrets buried long enough that some people have built their lives on keeping them that way.
But this is no ghost story.
As Danny digs deeper, he begins to see the hand of a powerful enemy from his past, someone with the reach to stop investigations, silence witnesses, and make the truth disappear. Someone who knows exactly what Danny is capable of and has no intention of letting him uncover what happened years ago.
With the body count rising and the past closing in, Danny must navigate deadly terrain, old betrayals, and an enemy who always seems one step ahead. It turns out the most dangerous ghosts aren’t the ones haunting the land.
They’re the ones still breathing—and they remember Danny Coogan.
