He's (NOT) The One

Not yet published
Expected 1 Dec 26
Alex Reyes, a washed-up pop star, joins the queer dating show The One to resurrect his career. He’s planning to fake a perfect love story for the cameras—until he’s undone by the only contestant who refuses to follow the plans.

Jaime Ford, a cynical bartender, is cast as the season’s villain. He sees straight through Alex’s performance and twists it to his advantage. After all—he’s just there for the paycheck.

When their staged connection (a flashy on-camera romance) turns into real chemistry, they must decide whether real love is worth getting in the way of everything they want from the outside world.

HE’S (NOT) THE ONE is a sharp, joyful, reality-TV romcom with enemies-to-lovers crackle and high-heat chemistry.

Danny grew up like most queer people—forged in fire while dressing in drag at the age of five.

He hails from a cave in the tundra of the Rocky Mountains, where he spent years learning lessons from authors like Stephen King and Augusten Burroughs.

He loves summer nights. He hates mashed potatoes. His favorite date is April 25th because it’s not too hot, not too cold, and all you need is a light jacket.

His books are sharp, funny, dark, and promise naked people.

He hopes his mom will never read them.

Oh my goodness!!! This was such a good read. I loved the snark, the banter, the cuteness. It was loaded with everything I love about a romcom. The side characters were great too. The plot twists were unreal and I can’t decide who I loved more out of Alex and Jaime. Great read

Genuinely loved every moment of this! I did not want to put it down once I started and ended up finishing within 24hrs. It was spicy, funny, dramatic and everything in between!
