I have the omnibus, but decided to log it as two separate volumes since it's like 700 pages in total, so I deserve that xD
note to self: read what mangas are about before preordering them, because I doubt I would have done so for this one. xD Author says it's a parody, but I don't think it is?

I shall keep it short and sweet until I have more time to write: Adorably quirky and I am so glad I bought this! I suppose I could have read it online (I will have to in order to see what happens next as there isn't currently a volume 2 printed) for free but I did so want to be able to own it. I definitely recommend looking into it

This comic is weird and funny and just silly. It was actually a lot funnier than I thought, I really enjoyed it and it made me laugh out loud a few times!

a reluctant romance blossoms between hiro—the obnoxious popular kid who has girls fawning over him at every turn—and his classmate, takashi, who couldn’t care less.

DNF. the beginning was really cute and had me laughing out loud, i loved the dynamic between the two boys right up until the part where they start experimenting with bdsm.
i assumed this was just a wholesome crack comedy about this obnoxious kid falling for his classmate—but it’s like i jumped into a completely different subgenre not even a quarter way through. why is this set in high school if it centers around s&m? not even trying to be prudish, but the characters could’ve easily been aged up into university and it escapes me why the author chose not to do that. it doesn’t help that it’s not even executed well, shown by the lack of explicit consent—which is quite literally the most important part of bdsm.
to make matters worse, i was reading on webtoon—an app predominantly used by minors—and it seems irresponsible to be showing high schoolers taking part in kink spaces made for adults on an app with impressionable young teens. there’s a difference between having a story where they happen to have sex (because that’s a normal thing teenagers do) and centering the story around minors exploring kink. which is unsafe and just.. gross.
