Rachel Vincent’s spellbinding Soul Screamers series
As a teen banshee, Kaylee’s blood-curdling screams are a death knell for others. Yet she never expected to see her own name at the top of a reaper’s list. The last thing Kaylee needs right now is to be skipping school, breaking her dad's ironclad curfew and putting her too-hot-to-be-real boyfriend's loyalty to the test. It’s time for Kaylee to kick some serious Netherworld butt…or die trying!

A resident of Oklahoma, Rachel Vincent has a BA in English and an overactive imagination, and consistently finds the latter to be more practical. She shares her workspace with two black cats (Kaci and Nyx) and her # 1 fan. Rachel is older than she looks-seriously-and younger than she feels, but remains convinced that for every day she spends writing, one more day will be added to her lifespan.
The first fantasy series I have read (except for Harry Potter) . IT's a lot better than Shadowshaper. IT's gripping and thrilling that I can't put it down.
Loved the twists and turns in this series, couldn't wait to pick it back up when I had to pause to go adult lol Loved coming back to regular characters and getting to know them throughout
I have listened to the audio version of this series, narrated by Amanda Ronconi, several times and my rating climbed each time. I know... Why read a book more than once, let alone several times? It was all that was available to me at the time. Nevertheless, I started my rating at a reserved three simply because I didn’t like the subject of the series. But my overall opinion grew higher as I really considered the prose, completeness of plot through to the end, and the amazing work of the narrator. I would not have enjoyed this series so much had I read them rather than listened to Amanda Ronconi! I give both the author and the narrator five stars and I thank them both!
