Jen's missing and the girls decide to look for her during a freak blizzard. A blizzard because...it's Lumberjanes! :) and what the junk! Just how crazy is it that April had parkas, plural, in her bags?
while the girls are camping in the woods a snowstorm hits and they lose jen. she gets picked up by abigail, who is very suspicious. the girls are taken back to camp by Rosie only to leave to find jen, with the help of the boys camp..
My six-year-old picked this out at the local comic shop. I read it aloud with him and his younger sister and we all loved it. Clearly aimed at older kids, but it was easy to play down the scary elements a bit. We're going to have to get some of the collections so we can catch up on the story thus far.
The plot thickens! I'm dying to find out the mystery of the Lumberjanes. I'm also loving how this issue and the last explore jealousy amd friendships gone bad.
The girls are out camping when a freak snowstorm hits. Jen gets separated from the group and is surrounded by wild creatures of some sort. Rosie shows up to help the girls. Jen is rescued by a mysterious woman who hunts magical creatures. The girls of course go out to rescue Jen and end up meeting some of the scouting lads. Meanwhile Rosie meets up with the weird lady and so Rosie goes off to rescue Jen from Abigail’s clutches.
Decent issue, fun, magical creatures and trouble of course. The art is pretty consistant and the story is always fun. Not really sure where this story line is going to go but it seems ok right now. I wish there had been more focus on the girls but you can’t do that all the time I suppose. Not my favorite story line so far but I’m sure it will improve.

Guess who's back? Barney's back, tell your friends. And then there is a new character named Abigail who I'm just imagining speaks like Nicole Kidman when she tries to be creepy.
I was totally into the mysterious snow bunny until she turned out to be a trophy hunter...including unicorns in her collection. Gross! Probably highly likely a total psycho.
