Noel Thistleborn had thought his life had ended when he lost his mate and daughter. Left with nothing but a broken heart he accepted the job as the king’s assistant to give his life new meaning. When King Kylen insisted Noel attend the dragon shifter ball he had no idea his life was about to change.
Hartmut was tired of watching his best friend cuddle with his two mates. He wasn’t greedy he’d take a single partner. In fact his greatest worry was having to deal with a fae double mating.
When the pair meets Noel doesn’t exactly greet the dragon shifter with open arms. Still traumatized by his loss, Noel is hesitant to put his heart out there again. However Hart wins him over and the pair agrees to dinner.
An old enemy comes forward and Noel will need the strength of his dragon mate to help him through.
Amber Kell has made a career out of daydreaming. It has been a lifelong habit she practices diligently as shown by her complete lack of focus on anything not related to her fantasy world building.
When she told her husband what she wanted to do with her life he told her to go have fun.
During those seconds she isn't writing she remembers she has children who humor her with games of 'what if' and let her drag them to foreign lands to gather inspiration. Her youngest confided in her that he wants to write because he longs for a website and an author name—two things apparently necessary to be a proper writer.
Despite her husband's insistence she doesn't drink enough to be a true literary genius she continues to spin stories of people falling happily in love and staying that way.
She is thwarted during the day by a traffic jam of cats on the stairway and a puppy who insists on walks, but she bravely perseveres..
I love reading this series. Noel Thistleborn had thought his life had ended when he lost his mate and daughter in a fire ten years ago. When King Kylen insisted Noel attend the dragon shifter ball he had no idea his life was about to change. Hart was tired of watching his best friend with his mates he wants one of his own. Noel doesn't want another mate and it breaks Hart's Heart when Noel tells him he doesn't want another mate. Noel finds that his daughter is still alive and he goes after her. This book was well written like the rest of the books in this series. The epilogue in this book was really good and I really want to read that story. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series and I want to know what is going on with Anthony and Silver and Anthony's power.
Another book that continues this great story line! For me these books always leave me wanting more! So I can't wait for number 15. It had a very interesting introduction in this book at the end.
I think I like this series more now when we are in the fae world as the whole Anthony and Silver saga is not as prevalent. They still made an appearance to the end but they’re not hijacking the story as in some of the previous books.
I keep saying I want these books to be longer and this one is no exception. This one had the best storyline that would have benefited greatly from being extended and more time taken to work through the plot.
I really liked Noel and felt for him for his past. It was nice to see he was honest with himself at least and knew when he had made a mistake and tried to make it better for Hart. He also understood and accepted that his first mate had his faults but still loved him anyway
Hart was a treasure and a lovely character to read. I felt for him with his disappointment at the beginning but he never gave up and gave Noel space when he needed it.
I want to know what happened to all the kids at the end maybe that will come out in the next books
Noel needs his family and magic. Mating Hart works.
The separation of the two kingdoms and the dragons has created a lot of unrest. As Noel mates with Hart, they discuss their pasts and hopes for the future. A visitor from the Light Fae Kingdom to the Dark Fae Castle hints of problems to Noel.
Noel discusses the situation with Hart before they go to the King on how to find his daughter who probably is still alive but under someone's control. The King and escorts visit the Light Fae side of the unified countries and they discover who still wants to be King and is controlling many secrets, including many children to collect their magic. Noel recognizes his daughter's smell. After the visit ends he sneaks back to find his daughter, but gets caught.
The next visit is not as friendly after Noel helps his daughter escape and brings warnings to the dragons and the King.
I'm so glad that Noel and Hart found each other. The fae realm is full of excitement but also much grief. Their relationship was solid and their story had a happy ending, which I require with my stories. :) Anthony is still having issues and Silver is suffering. Not the best ending to this story for them. Compelling read.
Noel (my daddy's name) and Hart, fae and dragon shifter, may have an unusual mating, but they find their way and save the day!!! This series has been bringing a smile to my face for years... not sure what I will do if it ever actually comes to an end. 🤔
Once again I'm taken outside my mind to a world not of my own making. Mrs. Kell has a way of sucking her readers into her world and making them never want to leave. Although this story focuses on Noel, his mating, and the baggage that comes along with it, we start to get closer to how Anthony will fare with his god powers being unleashed upon him. Kylen is finding more and more causes for concern in the fae kingdoms and he's getting all his ducks in a row. I am in love with this series from the very beginning. I am anxiously awaiting the next installment. My one-click finger is ready...
Needing Noel was an amazing story. From his pain at losing one of his mates, as he is Fae he has two and their daughter, to him finding his second mate, Hart a dragon shifter. Rocky at first, Hart and Noel's mating is soon a solid union filled with love, respect and some kick ass magic. Being able to see some characters from previous books is always great. This is a great addition to the series and I look forward, as usual, to reading more and discovering more characters to root on and fall in love with.
I think this one was my favourite of series, since it was actually centred on the title character and his new mate. The ease with which Noel's daughter accepted her father and subsequent stepfather was a bit out of step, but her bloodthirsty nature made up for it. I wasn't a fan of Rjaegar, but Hartmut was quite endearing. In spite of the editing and format issues I had with the books, having a cliff hanger drives me crazy. Hopefully the author will pick up where she left off and completed the situation with the mutant weres and the combined fae kingdom.

Amber Kell has done it again. Brilliant. Noel is skittish and wants nothing to do with his second nature, that is until they actually met. Hartmut "Hart" is a dragon shifter looking desperately for his mate after his best friend settled down with a Raven and a Wolf shifter. Their meeting isn't as smooth as Hart hoped and being left behind after 1 day certainly what he planned but Noel needs to rescue someone from his past to show him to get on with his future.
I been waiting for this book and I loved it. Noel had so much loss when his mate and child died. Noel found out that he had a second mate who was Hart a dragon. These two went through so many issues during their relationship and finding out that Noel's daughter was still alive. I would recommend this book to anyone who asked. Erin
Love these books - great novellas ~ sexy, entertaining and fun!
It appears there will eventually be A-Z and there is plenty of room for it to go even beyond that. It is very entertaining with interesting characters and unique twists in each story. They do need to be read in order - each group of MC's have their own story but there is an overlaying back story that grows throughout each book.
Great addition to the series. Noel and Hart are perfect for each other. And finding Sansha for Noel was such a great thing. This series is full of fun and laughter, with a tiny bit of angst. I really like it!
I really loved this book. It was interesting and really sweet read. The characters were really likable and lovely. It was a nice easy read which flowed smoothly. I did think at times it was a little rushed but otherwise it was a really enjoyable read!
This is a great edition to this ever growing series. There is some violence and sexual content. This is well written story especially the scenes about family drama. I haven't read a book from her I haven't liked.
I wished this book didn't seem so rushed. There are some spelling and grammar issues as well. I do enjoy reading Amber Kell's stories. I just don't think this is one of her better works.
Was an ok quick read, feel it wasn't like the others I couldn't connect with this one, but looking forward to more of the moon pack boys. 3.5 Stars this could of been a add on to series like Declan's book. All in all a great series.
A very easy and simple read. I felt really disconnected from the characters. There wasn't anything in the story or characters that really grabbed my attention.
