HeavenScribe #3

Heavenscribe: Part Three

Rate this book
Inspiring, magical, and deeply moving—award-winning author Christine Nolfi sweeps you into an unforgettable journey in Heavenscribe: Part 3.

This is Part 3 of the Heavenscribe serial mystery, a spiritual tale that unfolds over multiple books. From Heavenscribe: Part One:

Zobie Marsh hides the fearsome talent of prophecy. Young, poor and grieving the loss of her beloved Black Gram, she leaves home suddenly to avoid the advances of her mother’s latest boyfriend. Her decision to travel to South Carolina sets in motion Heavenscribe, a spiritual transformation devised by angels to aid a dying world.

Bel Petersen seems to have it all: ample means, a loving marriage and a rewarding family life. But she’s suffered through a year of unexpected deaths, and near-constant nightmares that portend the downfall of civilization. Now she’s visiting Health Presbyterian daily as Milly battles a relentless bone cancer sure to end their decades-long friendship in a matter of weeks.

One evening as Bel unlocks her car in the hospital’s parking lot, four ambulances stream toward the Emergency entrance. There’s been a horrific traffic accident. She’s shocked to discover one of the victims didn’t make it into an ambulance—and he’s bleeding out in a high school student’s car. Bel sends the student running to the hospital for help, and tends to the grievously injured man.

His dying words will lead her to Zobie, and reveal the spiritual awakening they must undertake together. If they fail, The Dimming will consume every human soul on the planet.

Q& A with the Author

What was the inspiration behind Heavenscribe?

Although most adults won’t readily discuss angels, telepathy or metaphysical subjects, many of us harbor private stories that don’t quite line up with everyday reality. An intuition or a dream that proves astonishingly accurate. Or a gut feeling that urges you to go left instead of right on the street, ensuring you bump into a friend you haven’t seen in years. Heavenscribe explores the mystical life underpinning the practical world, an alternate world that enriches our lives with a sense of wonder.

Why are you releasing Heavenscribe in sections?

The story touches on politics, religion, family life, metaphysical subjects, and the overarching spiritual journey of civilization as a whole—too much material for one book! I wanted to give readers a story brimming with inspiration and miracles, but in a grounded, practical setting. This is one reason why the natural world plays a key role—there’s nothing more wondrous than the pretty blue planet we inhabit. Trying to compress the rich plot into 400 pages would’ve meant leaving out many of the more inspirational elements.

In Heavenscribe, Part Two, Bel learned of her own supernatural gifts. Will she become as powerful as Zobie?

Unlike Zobie, who has known of her psychic gifts since childhood, Bel is ill prepared to accept her surprising talents. She’s a proud homemaker with a rich family life, and she struggles to understand why an ordinary woman would come into possession of such powers. Of course, Bel is anything but ordinary. Her goodness provides the key to unlocking Heavenscribe, as does a memory from long ago that shaped her notions of religion and spirituality.

What can readers expect in Heavenscribe, Part Four?

Readers will meet the third Primary in a surprising way as world events draw closer to the women’s lives.

Readers, you’ll best enjoy Heavenscribe by reading the series in order. This is a serialized story spanning hundreds of pages.

I just love books about angels! They are just so magical and intriguing. This one is no exception. Christine Nolfi is so creative with her characters and they work so well together. This book is very well written. The book is both spiritual and suspenseful that it will grab you from the very beginning and leave you wanting more. I didn't think it possible but each book in the series gets better and better. The book is so suspenseful that it has me wanting to read part four of the series. I highly recommend this book to everyone who wants to take a magical spiritual journey. Awesome Job Christine!

In "Heavenscribe: Part Three," we begin to learn many things about this mysterious and wonderful world that is slowly unfolding for Zobie and Bel. Bel in particular, finds out many things that she keeps close to her chest for now. However, she does share her secret, as well as Zobie's true purpose for being with her, to Parrish, who immediately rose in my estimation with his ability to cope with and support Bel in light of what are such fantastical revelations.

Part Three is a story of relationships unfolding and we get to see Zobie as she draws closer to Milly, who takes on the role of confidant to the confused and seeking young prophetess. Zobie also draws closer to Ford and Gwynn and becomes embroiled in their affairs.

Many of the secondary characters we got to know briefly also make return appearances and it's a real pleasure to see more of the comical Galanta, who is becoming more and more of a favorite each time she enters the scene. And Dahlia, the peculiar next door neighbor, is not all that she appears to be. I'm very intrigued to see what's going to happen with her character.

All in all, this a complex, multi-layered story of magic, mystery and at its core, family. And family is at the forefront when this episode ends, as all the episodes do, on a breathtaking note. The only downside to the utter enjoyment of reading this series is the wait until the next episode.

Heavenscribe is such a magical series! In part three, we meet the Earth Mother but the search continues for the third primary. I have always been drawn to stories with angels so I'm loving this book.

We got to know Bel and Zobie and their special talents even more. I love the metaphysical, spiritual aspect of the story. The author writes with such feeling that draws you into the lives of the characters.

This is a suspense filled story that I can't wait to read part four. I highly recommend this series to those looking for a fascinating read!

(For clarification sake, please note that I am in the process of closing out my other account under the name Nichole Blake and am starting this new account. Therefore, this review is identical).

Amazing writer! Heavenscribe has been an intriguing ride through the cosmos, and, while I don't agree theologically, this author has woven a beautiful story with remarkable talent. I have yet to read a book by this author that I don't like, and these three parts of Heavenscribe are no exception! Zobie Marsh is a very mature 17 year old who has risen above the ranks of her mother's drunken lifestyle with guidance from her grandmother. She is clairvoyant. With three weeks left in high school with a 4.2 GPA, she declines graduation on a whim to get out of where she is, driving to Charleston and meeting up with Bel who takes Zobie under her wing. Bel, too, has unnatural power she was unaware of until Zobie appears. Together, they must somehow find the third person that will until a power to save the darkness of this Earth. I can't wait to find out what happens next! Hurry Christine Nolfi! And thank you for sharing your talent of writing!

Ohhhhhhhh nooooooooooooo! Christine Nolfi you can't end it that way, that just isn't right! Now, in all seriousness, that is all that I will give away. This part of the series is sure to leave your heat racing. I was unsure about the series when I read HeavenScribe: Part One but I have become totally wrapped up in the characters and their journey through this new world. I am looking forward to the upcoming parts of HeavenScribe and I hope that they come quickly.

All three parts of the Heavenscribe series so far have been quick reads. That's not to say that they were light reads. Christine touches us deeply through her characters, making it impossible not to be affected personally. We are all guilty of taking things for granted and if nothing else remains, hopefully we will take a moment to truly appreciate those that truly matter – life, love, faith, nature, peace and joy.

I can't say enough good things about this! The characters come more and more to life with each installment. Zobie and Bel have a great chemistry. As each woman works to develop their powers, we find out not only more about Heavenscribe, but their roles in it. I'm really looking forward to the next installment and meeting the third Primary.

Another wonderful installment in the continuing story. There was more building to the coming fight, but not many big plot points happening. It definitely left me wanting the next part. Hopefully it will be coming soon.

Great series!

The only reason I gave this book only 4 stars is the abrupt ending. If I have to wait long for 4, it's going to make me cranky. That's how good these book are!
You are bound with each character, they are so real. The story is written very well and you don't want to leave it. I have been ill and have read all 3 in a couple of days. They could be longer! Only a good author can write so well the the world you live in disappears and you are in the world of the book.

This is an awesome series though I would like to read it all at once. Metaphysical subjects appeal to me Zobie has had visions all her life and had help from angels to.In part three Zobie's visions have stopped and she is concerned that her last one of the death of Bel's grandson will come true.I love the principles set out in these books. This is a very spiritual series and can't wait for part 4.

Good for those who like supernatural

I've enjoyed the 1st three books in this series. The characters are believeable, the story line interesting. I'm frustrated that I don't know if the next part is written yet or available to read. I don't like getting to the end of each book and it's a cliff hanger till I can get the next one. I would prefer it was all in one book. I hope the next one is available soon, or I'll loose interest and move on. I would like to know how it ends.
