Okay, so it might not be typical but O'Ryan's lovelife is knocked to the bottom of the priority list when a madman shows up wielding a knife. O'Ryan has to meet his demands, or everyone she cares about will be toast, including the one she really loves . The easy answer is to call the police, but when her boyfriend's parents turn up dead , she realizes the man wasn't kidding when he said not to involve law enforcement. She has to beat him at his own game because giving into his demands will make O'Ryan a criminal too.

Spanish and English review below. Reseña en español e ingles debajo.

I received a copy from the author for an honest review.

I decided to not read the blurb but I checked how many stars people gave it in Goodreads and Amazon.
This book hast an abrupt begining bc a few pages later you start reading problems appear. I liked the way the book is written. The story, wow. I didn't expect most of what happened. Because of how the story went and the way the book was written I didn't want to stop reading. The suspense feeling being all the time alert. This has an important morality meaning because ,yes we have the main problem, but also we have the problem 'crossing-that-thin-line-between-being-a-criminal-or-not' and thats a big problem too.
The characters were definitely remarkable. They aren't much older than me but the way they ended thinking, the experiences they went through, the answers they find and the way they protect each other is remarkable.
Stuff I didn't expect happened and I liked the end but I definitely want to know more!
A great romantic,action,suspense,mystery,thriller story!

Make a difference

This was a quick, sharp thriller. There was not a dull moment in it. I read it in one sitting, in one day.

What's the greatest thing about O'Ryan as a protagonist is that you know she truly cares about those around her and would do anything to protect them. Sometimes to the extend where you feel that she's being consumed by it and is putting all blame on herself to the extreme, but the fact that she's coming from a good place is clear.

The plot wasn't what I expected, which was a big positive considering the surprise factor. It became overwhelming at times, flirting with the lines between realism and insanity, but that was the point. The romance did take a backseat but it was normal for that to happen if you think about the circumstances! The moments where we did get romantic scenes though (I won't spoil with who), they were super super sweet. :D

Overall, a fast-paced thriller with a genuinely good protagonist and great suspense.

This was a really interesting book from Lisa Terry that challenged a lot of the things I thought I knew about the evolution of human romantic sexuality, and explained a lot of things that go wrong in modern relationships. For content, I would give it 5 stars, but I found the writing style is great putting in a way I can't really describe. But do read it if you've ever thought about why human being find 'traditional' relationships so difficult and how we can solve our problem too.

TRICOLOR is definitely not your average New Adult book. I never quite knew where it was going and the characters and plot constantly surprised me--in the best way! There are some heart-wrenching moments in this, which Lisa expertly writes. The character development is great and you can feel the various levels of tension tug and pull at you throughout the book. Definitely pick this up! :)

(Full disclosure, I got to read this book before it was out because Lisa and I are critique partners :) )

Suspense at its best.

The plot was riveting and completely original, keeping my adrenaline pumping right until the last page. The characters are interesting and intense, yet still relatable. Definitely worth reading.

I hard a hard time at the beginning due to writing style, but I quickly got sucked in and thoroughly enjoyed this book until the ending which I felt was a bit abrupt.

3.5
I want to start off by saying that this book was not something I would typically think of reading, since the adult/thriller genre was always something I avoided for some reason. Because of this, I was actually very curious and excited to read this book, since I didn't know what to expect in the least.

I thought this book was very entertaining. The plot was engaging throughout and kept me fairly interested to see how everything would fall together in the end. I feel like the fact that it was quite short also contributed to the story, since it really didn't need anything beyond 200 pages.

That being said, I think this book's flaws lie mostly in the writing. I felt like the writing lacked something when it came to creating suspense and really making the reader feel for the characters. It would be a very intense scene, but I couldn't really bring myself to feel anxious or particularly inquisitive about whatever was happening. Almost like unsalted chips, if that makes any sense. I also found it hard to understand whenever the protagonist was trying to refer to something that happened in the past, before the point when the book starts. The references to past events always came in the dialogue and you'd have to assume some things happened since it wasn't made clear in the character's thoughts.

My favorite part of a book is always the characters, and how they feel and act about certain things tends to affect my overall opinion if a book. For this reason, I had to degrade a little. O'Ryan was a character I loved at the start of the book, but grew irritated by towards the end. I felt like she prioritized some of the wrong things. Peter, however, was the star in my opinion. I love a good, funny 9-year-old, and he was just that. I probably wouldn't have minded him narrating the book xD

I really did find this book enjoyable, but had some small issues with it that I thought would've made the book even better if fixed :) Similar review will hopefully be up on my blog : blowoutbooks.blogspot.com

I received a copy from the author for an honest review.

The story begins with the main female character O’Ryan (love the name) showering in a hospital and slightly scared of her surroundings.

This introduction was just the start of this action pack thriller. O’Ryan had family problems a father in Rehab after being discharged from the military and a mother who had given up living only for her pet.

As we continue in the book we meet the Moncrief brothers. Three brothers who have become like family to O’Ryan. The Moncrief boys have lost their parents 7 months ago after their plane disappeared. O’Ryan has a complicated relationship with the two older brothers Seth and Jamie.

One night whilst celebrating Jamie’s birthday the thrill begins when the family have two unexpected visitors. What follows is a fast pace thriller that you can not put down. (I read it in a matter of hours).

I have only awarded4 stars, as I was a little disappointed with the ending. PLEASE TELL ME THERE IS A PART TWO!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway a wonderful read that has lots of thrills and spills and one strong powerful female lead.

3,4 of 5 stars!

I just loved the plot twist when O'Ryan have to save Peter, Jamie and Sean. I kinda amazed since i thought the story is doesn't have too much suspense scene and more romance but iam wrong! this books is an quick read and keeping my adrenaline pumping until the last page.

However, I am not really through into the romance story in this books. I dislike infidelity between a lover.

This books is enjoyable to read if you want to read some romance suspense novel.. I hope i can read more another romance suspense in the future :D

I received a copy from the author in exchange of an honest review.

The conflict starts from the very start and there's no moment of calm until the very end of the story. There's so much thriller going on, but I think that's the problem because I can't really feel the climax of the story. Yes, it will give you an adrenaline rush, but don't expect too much because there's really no twist. It would be better if it had a twist. After I finish it I was like "huh, that's it?". I should really stop expecting too much from a story like this...

I was given this book for free in exchange for a review. I found the writing too distracting to actually pay attention to the story. Seemed a bit choppy and didn't have the feeling of being sucked into the world.
