This 16th book in the Quillhaven Magical Cozy mytery series has you gasping and turning pages. It is unputdownable and you feel that you just can't stop reading. Finally we have the wedding of our beloved witch Annie Hart and Caleb Rivers. Since Caleb owns the Mystic Mornings Café he wants to bake the wedding cake that best signifies who Annie is and for him, it has to be perfect. So, he is doing trial and error with one of Annie's familiars, Leo as Caleb's taste testers. Caleb wanted to try one more cake before going home when a package arrived with a cookbook from a very famous author with a strange jar of magical sugar. So Caleb makes the best cake and uses a little magic sugar, but there was a warning that said, If the groom bakes the wedding cake, the bell will claim him. Just as he uses some of the magical sugar, he disappears. What is this? A curse? So Annie along with both her Siamese familiars, Leo and Luna along with some magical friends, have to solve this in time for the wedding. But something unusual is attached to this curse that is attached to Annie and century-old wedding, where there's a vanished groom, a grieving bride, and a gold bell with loads of secrets that has never been questioned for generations. Can they save Caleb in time for Annie and he to get married? This is a fantastic book in a fantastic series that I highly recommend. I received an ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

Wedding Bell Clues By Tessa Silver

📖 A Long-Awaited Wedding, a wedding cake curse, and Plenty of Chaos!

💖 Tessa Silver has crafted a wonderful blend of cozy mystery and romance in her latest Quillhaven installment. While the much-anticipated wedding takes center stage, the journey to the altar is understandably bumpier than expected. The magic of this book is the captivating journey to finding the solutions. The plot delivers exactly what Quillhaven fans love most: a classic "magic gone wrong" puzzle.

🔮 What I loved most was seeing so many familiar town characters from previous books jump right in to help sort through clues connected to a long-ago curse that threatens to derail the festivities. It gave the wedding countdown so much extra depth and tension, and kept the pages turning!!

🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛ As always, the standout comedic relief goes to Annie and Caleb’s two Siamese cat familiars. Their antics had me genuinely laughing out loud multiple times—they completely steal every scene they’re in.

🥰 All of Tessa's books are able to read as stand alones, but this one is even more enjoyable because I feel like I know all the characters. If you love cozy mysteries filled with quirky town dynamics, clever sleuthing, found family, and a dash of the supernatural, this is an absolute must-read. It's so nice to know there will be a HEA ending - a wonderful fantasy escape from today's anxious world. This is a nicely paced book... great characters, full of hope and new beginnings, which would be great for all ages!

Annie and Caleb are getting married in a week and Caleb wants to bake the perfect cake to show his love for Annie. He’s tested several recipes but can’t find quite what he’s looking for. When a cookbook arrives along with a small container of magic sugar, Caleb finds what he feels will be the perfect cake recipe. However, soon Caleb and Annie’s cat, Leo, mysteriously disappear. Annie fears Caleb got cold feet and left rather than go through with the wedding. Her friends tell her otherwise. Turns out there was a magical enchantment that happened 100 years ago and is happening again. It’s up to Annie, Leo’s sister, Luna, and her friends to find out what happened to Caleb and Leo, how to get them back, and how to end the magic enchantment once and for all.

A fun paranormal cozy mystery!

How I love this series set in the magical town of Quillhaven. I adore Leo and Luna, magical talking Siamese cats, and the bride to be, Annie Hart and groom Caleb Rivers. When the groom goes missing, Annie wonders if Caleb has changed his mind. With her magic, as well as all those in town with their special abilities, Annie soon knows without a doubt that Caleb is missing but not because he has cold feet. The search for Caleb will uncover decades old stories of other missing grooms and grieving brides-to-be. Annie, along with her friends, must find where Caleb has been taken and find a way to return him to her. I love this series! A review copy of this book was sent to me by the author. All of the above opinions are my own.

Annie Hart owns Spellbound Stories and is Quillhaven's favorite witch. Her wedding to Caleb Rivers, the love of her life, is a week away. Everything is planned and the flowers are ordered. Caleb is determined to create a wonderful wedding cake that blends his magic with Annie's. Then he receives a mysterious cookbook at his shop, Mystic Mornings Café. There's also a warning with it that reads "If the groom bakes the cake, the bell will claim him." Annie and Luna are soon having to team up with their magical friends to solve a mystery. She learns things are tied to a century-old wedding, a groom who didn't show, and a gold bell ~ all surrounded by secrets that no one's questioned for generations. Caleb is standing directly in the path of an enchantment that is still active. To protect Caleb, and their future, Annie must uncover what really happened a hundred years ago before history repeats itself.

I've really enjoyed this series and this book's no exception. It was well-written and the characters were well-rounded. I was drawn into this tantalizing tale from the start and kept hooked until the finish. This is a small-town cozy mystery that was a quick, fun read. It had intrigue, magic, and romance as well as talking cats. There are strongs bonds of friendship throughout the story. I absolutely loved this book and truly hope there's more to come from the series. I highly recommend both book and series which I believe is best read in order so you'll get the most out of things.

If you’re looking for a light, clever mystery with heartfelt moments and a satisfying puzzle, this is an excellent pick.
Tessa Silver’s background as an ex‑detective shapes every page of Wedding Bell Clues, giving the novel a grounded sense of investigative realism while still maintaining the gentle tone readers expect from a cozy mystery. The story centers on a wedding that should have been picture‑perfect but instead becomes the backdrop for a baffling crime, prompting the protagonist to sift through a tangle of secrets, half‑truths, and suspiciously timed mishaps. Silver’s experience shows in the way she constructs clues: they’re never arbitrary, never overly convenient, and always tied to believable human behavior. This makes the mystery feel fair and engaging, inviting readers to solve it alongside the characters.
The novel’s greatest strength is its balance of warmth and tension. Silver populates the story with likable, well‑rounded characters—family members with complicated histories, friends who know more than they admit, and townspeople whose quirks add both humor and depth. The wedding setting provides a natural mix of joy, stress, and interpersonal drama, and Silver uses it to explore themes of trust, commitment, and the stories people hide even from those closest to them. The emotional stakes feel genuine without overshadowing the mystery itself.
Silver’s prose is clear, inviting, and quietly witty, making the book easy to sink into. Her detective background enriches the narrative with small procedural touches—attention to timelines, behavioral cues, and motive analysis—that elevate the puzzle without making it feel clinical. Readers who enjoy mysteries that reward careful reading will appreciate how the clues are layered: early hints gain new meaning as the story progresses, and the final reveal ties together the threads in a way that feels earned rather than forced.
The pacing is steady and satisfying. Silver avoids the common cozy‑mystery pitfall of rushing the ending; instead, she allows the investigation to unfold naturally, giving readers time to form their own theories. The climax delivers both surprise and clarity, and the resolution offers emotional closure for the characters as well as the mystery.
Overall, Wedding Bell Clues is a delightful blend of sharp detective insight and warm, character‑driven storytelling. Fans of cozy mysteries, wedding‑themed fiction, or amateur‑sleuth tales will find much to enjoy. Silver’s unique background as an ex‑detective gives her work a distinctive edge, making this novel feel both comforting and cleverly constructed.

It was so nostalgic going back to Annie and Caleb it felt so full circle. Annie and Caleb's love story introduced me to Quillhaven and magic and their wedding was like coming full circle. Its finally time for Annie Hart and Caleb Rivers to say I do. With just a week until the wedding Miranda the wedding coordinator has things under control except for one thing the wedding cake which magical baker and the groom himself Caleb is handling. A mysterious book shows up with the perfect wedding cake recipe and special ingredient but it also comes with a warning for the groom not to make the cake. Leo suggests they take this warning to Annie but Caleb doesnt want to burden her so he ignores the warning and starts following the recipe but something is not right and Leo and Caleb end up trapped in a mysterious kitchen with no windows. After Annie's initial fear that Caleb ran away she and her friends start investigating the disappearance of her fiance and Luna's brother. All is not as it seems with Annie's perfect wedding coordinator and a mistake from the past threatens to not only stop the wedding but to take Caleb and Leo away forever. It is so sweet to see so many familiar faces from past stories rally around Annie and Luna to save their loved ones. Caleb is determined to get back to Annie and Leo wants back to his sister and his home. Will the wedding of the century take place or will history be doomed to repeat itself. This is a story of honesty, love, and home. One of the best of Tessa's story. Thanks for taking us back home to Quillhaven!

The long-awaited wedding of Annie Hart and Caleb Rivers is finally just days away. Annie is busy with final fittings and wedding plans alongside her familiar Luna and Quillhaven's wedding planner, while Caleb is determined to create the perfect wedding cake, one that combines his chef magic with Annie's magical heritage. With Leo enthusiastically volunteering as chief taste tester, everything seems to be coming together perfectly.

When a mysterious cookbook arrives at Caleb's bakery, he discovers a recipe that seems ideal for their special day. But after beginning the cake, a hidden warning falls from the book, revealing a chilling connection to a wedding that took place a century ago. Unfortunately, by then, events have already been set in motion.

As strange magic begins to interfere with the wedding preparations, Annie must uncover the truth behind a hundred-year-old tragedy before history repeats itself. With only seven days left before her wedding, she races to solve the mystery and save the future she and Caleb have planned together.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The mystery was engaging, the magical elements were woven throughout the story perfectly, and it was wonderful to finally see Annie and Caleb's wedding take center stage after following their journey through the series. The familiar characters, the charming town of Quillhaven, and the involvement of Luna and Leo made this another enjoyable addition to a series I always look forward to reading.

Annie and Caleb . . .

Witch Annie Hart will be marrying Caleb Rivers in one week! Everything is moving along as planned, and Caleb will be creating a magical wedding cake to make it all special. When Ronan sees a package on Caleb River's doorstep, he calls out to Caleb and brings the package inside after almost stepping on it. Leo, one of the Siamese cat familiars, suggested it might be a wedding gift. Caleb took it to the kitchen to open it and removed a large hardcover book entitled "THE ENCHANTED WEDDING TABLE: Magical Cakes, Ceremonial Sweets & Timeless Traditions by Sabine Sterling". Also in the box was a small glass jar sealed with silver wax. Its label read: LUMINOUS VEIL SUGAR, Complimentary Recipe Sample. He still hadn't found who sent this presumed wedding gift. And either he had not seen the ominous warning or more likely tried to test it to see if it was real: "If the groom bakes the wedding cake, the bell will claim him" -- and suddenly he and Leo vanished!

With help from Luna, Leo's Siamese cat sister, Annie and her friends will need to find clues to an ancient wedding where the groom vanished, leaving behind a grieving bride and a gold bell. Annie worries that Caleb has already been pulled into a repetition of the wedding curse from the past. To protect him, she needs to find the truth of that ancient mystery! Can she take on the difficult task and investigate an incident from so long ago? Or will she be too late this time?

Resident Quillhaven witch, Annie Hart, and her magical baker partner Caleb Rivers, are only a week away from their much awaited wedding! Annie is reviewing final plans with her wedding planner, while Caleb is trying out wedding cake recipes to find the perfect combination to represent both of their magic. By the way, Leo (one of our favorite Siamese cat familiars) has graciously volunteered to taste test all of Caleb’s attempts! A mysterious package wrapped in brown paper appears on Caleb’s café’s doorstep and the cook book inside seems to have the perfect wedding cake recipe. Leo finds a warning message not to bake that cake, but Caleb tries it anyway with disastrous effects.
Now, where are Caleb and Leo? No one seems to know. Annie and Luna try everything to find them. Luna (Leo’s sister and the other of our favorite Siamese cat familiars) uses her special connection to Leo to gather some clues. Luna also shows us that Leo isn’t the only cat with some sass! The residents of Quillhaven also gather to support Annie and to help solve the mystery. Not everyone or everything is what they seem. Can they solve the mystery in time for the wedding? And, just what is that darn bell’s problem!
Another delightful Quillhaven’s mystery - I think each one gets even better than the last! I received an ARC of this book, but all opinions are my own.

Wedding bells and a nasty spell.

Annie's and Caleb's wedding day is rapidly approaching, and Caleb is determined to bake the perfect wedding cake. A mysterious cookbook appears at Mystic Mornings Cafe, and Caleb finds what he thinks is a recipe for the perfect wedding cake. Unfortunately, a spelled ingredient will activate a malicious spell and Caleb, along with Leo, will be transported into a magical kitchen. Meanwhile Annie along with their friends are investigating their disappearance and stumble upon the story of a vanished groom, and an ancestor of Annie's. In order to save Leo and Caleb, Annie they must find out what really happened to the groom that disappeared a hundred years ago.
I absolutely love all the characters in this book. They are so well written, realistic, and compelling with complex and quirky personalities that I couldn't put this book down. I especially adore Leo and Luna, Annie's Siamese cat familiars. Magic and mystery, witches and familiars, spells and plenty of twists and turns in the plot made it impossible to put this book down. This is a must-read addition to the Quillhaven Magical Cozy Mystery series, and I have loved this series from the first book. I highly recommend this book to any reader.

I received this book courtesy of Mrs. Silver and Booksprout for the purpose of a fair and honest review.

Overview: In seven days, Annie and Caleb are due to get married. They have a wedding planner, the location, and even the mayor seems to be in agreement not to speak for an hour before officiating the wedding. Even Leo has a job. He would claim that it is the most important job. He is quality control for the wedding cake that Caleb is baking. Caleb, however, has not found the perfect cake yet. Now, a special package has shown up at Mystic Mornings, and it has a promising cake recipe. Kind of. You see, when Caleb started the cake, he and Leo got pulled into an infinity kitchen. Can Annie and Quillhaven figure out what went wrong? Will the wedding take place? And who sent the book? Let's find out.

Dislikes: How can anyone, who knows the heartbreak of a loved one being left at the altar, be so obsessed with broken engagements? That is a cold person.

Like: The town of Quillhaven came together for Caleb and Annie.

Sam and Sarah took care of Mystic Mornings while Caleb was indisposed.

I loved Chloe's lie detector.

Conclusion: This was a fun book. If you are wanting to visit Quillhaven, then this book is for you. Enoy the read.

I received a copy for an honest review. Annie and Caleb are only one week away from their wedding day, so what could go wrong. Caleb is making the wedding cake and is not satisfied with the ones he has made so far and Leo is quite happy with the samples he is receiving. Caleb receives a package containing a famous bakers newest book and a jar of enchanted sugar. Of course, Caleb comes across what appears to be the perfect wedding cake recipe. Leo feels that he needs to let Annie know because he feels suspicious. Unfortunely, Caleb goes ahead to make it and mystery ensues. Caleb and Leo are transported to a kitchen that has no windows, a looping door and a wedding bell over the door. Caleb is urged to complete the wedding cake by a mysterious voice. At first, Annie thinks that Caleb has abandoned her but then realizes that he would not do that. We the help of all their friends they unravel things bit by bit. Will they be in time??? This story is unputdownable with so much happening and is throughly enjoyable. Highly, highly recommend.

It's a big week for the townspeople of Quillhaven.
Annie Hart, owner of Spellbound Stories and popular witch, and her beloved, Caleb Rivers owner of Mystic Mornings Café,are finally tying the knot in seven days.
No stress there!
However, Caleb’s plan to bake their magical wedding cake using a recipe from a mysterious cookbook that arrived on his doorstep causes things to be more stressful.
And when Caleb mysteriously disappears while making the cake, Annie and her magical friends pull out all the stops to find Caleb and make the wedding happen on time.
This is #16 in the Quillhaven Magical Cozy Mystery series and I have loved every one!
The characters are so wonderful that I wish I could move to Quillhaven!
Tessa Silver weaves magic and mystery together in such a way that is nice you start reading, you won't be able to stop.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves magical cozies.
Actually, if you have an opportunity, you should have the whole set! You really should!

I’m new to the Quillhaven Magical Cozy Mysteries but this standalone book was not hard to dive right into and for me to become enchanted with the fabulous Siamese siblings Luna and Leo, who could be very witty with their comments, helpful in the investigation and so endearing in their bond together which really helped tremendously in the rescue of Caleb and Leo. Annie and Caleb are getting married in a week but before that happens both Caleb and Leo go mysteriously missing. As the case gets investigated it points to a Blackwood lineage curse, an ancestral line of Annie’s, the disappearance of several grooms just before their weddings, the baking of a wedding cake and golden bells. I liked the closeness of this group of people, some with magical abilities and some without, but all working together to solve the case along with the help of Luna, Leo and Indi. The book has a whimsical, magical feel that makes it enjoyable to read and I plan to read many more in this series.

The 16th book in the Quillhaven Magical Cozy Mystery series begins on a very happy note. Annie Hart and Caleb Rivers' wedding is a week away. Caleb with Leo's help, plans the perfect cake. The recipe he settles upon comes from a hand delivered cookbook, along with jar of magic sugar. As he places the last touch, Caleb disappears.
The recipe is cursed. While investigating, Annie and Luna stumble upon an older mystery about another wedding, a tragic one.
I was of two minds reading this book. It's a good spot in the series for a new reader to start it. The characters who populated earlier books are reintroduced. And their relationships and situations are updated. Which led me to wonder if book 16 the series swan song. The author's afterword did not reassure me.
As always, the mystery totally engages the reader. I could hardly put the book down. Caleb and Leo are endangered.(And how dare you put LEO in danger, Miss Tessa). It's a lovely, quick read. I hope for more Quillhaven.

I just love this series.
Annie and Caleb are getting married in a week. Annie is working with wedding planner Miranda and getting everything done except the cake. Caleb is making the cake.
He receives a package at the bakery that includes a cook book with some magical ingredients. Looking through the book, he finds what seems like a perfect cake. As he starts to make the cake, a message falls out saying not to bake the cake but it’s too late, Caleb and Leo are whisked off to a windowless kitchen somewhere.
Annie and her friends now have to figure out the spell and how to reverse it.
This book has a lot of the previous characters helping Annie and Luna out.
This is mainly aster with the usual surprises, suspense and humour.
Leo and Luna have their normal large roll in the book.
This was a great book, and I loved every word.
It is a quick, easy, fun read.
I highly recommend this book and series,

Annie and Caleb are going to be married soon. All of the wedding arrangements have been made except for the cake. Since Caleb is owner of Mystic Mornings Café, he has decided to make the wedding cake. A special cake that will represent him and Annie.

A mysterious box arrives at the Café, containing a cookbook filled with unusual recipes and magical secrets. Curious, Caleb opens its pages and discovers the perfect cake recipe to bake. There is a specific warning attached to the cake. Strange magical happenings begin to occur and Caleb and Leo are swept away to a secret place. What unfolds next will keep you guessing, laughing, and pondering.

The banter between Luna and Leo, Siamese cats, will have you smiling.

This is my first book to read in the Quillhaven series. I enjoyed the magic, mystery, and romance woven throughout the book. Thank you to the author for my advance copy. This is my honest review.

"WEDDING BELL CLUES", the sixteenth installment in Tessa Silver’s  'A Quillhaven Magical Cozy Mystery' series, offers a delightful and engaging mystery filled with charm and depth. While this story  can be enjoyed as a standalone, experiencing the full arc of the series enhances the reading experience, as each installment builds upon previous events, new characters and compelling storylines.

Caleb is preparing the wedding cake for his and Annie's wedding when suddenly he vanishes along with Leo. As everyone tries to figure out what happened, they discover a similar incident happened a hundred years ago with another groom vanishing. Are they connected? In the meantime, Annie and Luna are trying to hold it together. Find out where Caleb and Leo went and why they disappeared.

Leo's and Luna's elegant and witty way of handling problems is not present this time. It's all worry and stress as they realize how much they miss each other.

I totally enjoyed this magical cozy mystery full of secrets and surprises and suspense. Absolutely love the plot, the diverse characters and of course Luna and Leo the talking Siamese cats. Annie and Caleb are finally getting married but a magical wedding cake recipe in a book that just showed up at Caleb’s shop and some magical sugar gets in the way of their wedding day. Caleb and Leo go missing and at first Annie thinks he left her but then realizes with the help of her friends that something else is going on. Caleb and Leo are stuck in a revolving kitchen and can’t get out no matter how hard they try. Annie along with her friends must try to solve this mystery and get Caleb and Leo back before an 100 year old history repeats itself. This book kept me on the edge of my seat until the end and I totally didn’t guess who was responsible. Very suspenseful and detailed book.

Well, it's Quillhaven and a planned wedding: say no more.
The wedding planner, Miranda, has everything under control: so professional. Everything will be perfect. Caleb hasn't quite sorted out the cake, but, again, it's all under control. Well, it is until Caleb receives a package: a book and a special sugar. A problem? Nah — surely not!
Anyway, you need a bride and groom for a wedding, so when Caleb and Leo disappear...?
Old grudges borne from half-understood legends, fighting for family justice meet true unconditional love and honesty.
Lovely watching Luna channel Leo! She is quite a mimic!
I didn't know the wedding music: so appropriate, but watching a video of it made me feel so cold!
Another warm hug woven with intrigue from Tessa as she takes on a roller coaster ride: will there, won't there be a wedding?

This was an enjoyable cozy, magical mystery book.
The Siamese siblings have a large part in the story, as they do in each episode. Their pithy commentary and bickering frequently brought smiles to my face and made me laugh out loud a number of times.
While the main characters in this book, Annie and Caleb, appear in the other books, it was great to revisit them as the main ones. The series starts with the magical mystery that brought them together. This time, they have to solve a more frustrating magical mystery in order to make it to their wedding ceremony.

No worries if you haven't read any of the previous books. The author intentionally writes each story in this series so that it can be read without having read any of the others. Reading previous stories just makes the current story's tapestry that much richer.

- Cozy mystery
- Witchy
- Small town

I have been loving this series and am so invested in all of the characters and residents of Quillhaven. It's finally time for Annie and Caleb's wedding. We have had the pleasure of seeing their relationship grow over the series, but even their wedding will have drama....

Caleb is excited to make the wedding cake, but has been struggling to find just the right recipe. So when a cookbook and magical sugar are delivered to his shop, he decides to try one of the recipes. However, there is an enchantment activated and Caleb and Leo are transported to a magical kitchen.

Now Annie and her friends have to follow the clues to rescue Caleb and Leo. Will they be able to find them in time for the wedding?

This book has lots of twists that I didn't see coming. What a compelling story!.

I was thrilled to be invited to the wedding of Annie and Caleb. I was very surprised to learn that this wedding almost did not happen! Luckily, Leo and Luna, the extremely bonded pair of cats were able to keep in touch with each other, mentally, and help out Annie and the crew who were looking for Leo and Caleb.
If you have never read one of the Quillhaven books by Tessa Silver, then I highly recommend you begin from the beginning, or at least close to the beginning, so that you can understand the beautiful magic of the town, and get to know the wonderful people who are the residents.
When you start reading the first book, you will be hooked on all the others, and with every book you read, you will not be able to put down that book.

Tessa Silver has taken us on another wonderful journey with the rest of the Quillhaven folks.
What an amazing story! So many twists and turns just to get Annie and Caleb to their wedding. And they did make it with great help from Leo and Luna as well as many others.
Funny how family history can get very muddy over time and cause lots of problems. Luckly the Quillhaven folks are always there for one another. And the sum of their skills is just what’s needed to solve the mystery.
Each story lets you see more of the primary characters. Which helps to round out all of the various towns folks.
That’s not really a spoiler since anyone who has been reading along knows we have to have a HEA ending. No cliffhanger ending here.

The Quillhaven cozies are always just what I'm looking for when I want a cozy mystery, so it's exciting when I get to read a new one. Wedding Bell Clues is a wonderful addition to the series. There are recurring characters from previous books, but you can easily jump into the series here. Just know that you'll probably want to go back and read the earlier books. I know that's what happened to me, and now I've read them all a few times. The characters are well developed, and I enjoyed the story. There's a sense of safety with it being a cozy, but the author does an excellent job of still keeping everything interesting. Highly recommended for cozy mystery fans who enjoy magic and animal familiars.
