Tropes: Friend of Father, Age-Gap, Hidden Identity, Stalking, Mental Health Representation, Interracial, Suspense
Silver Fox Healing Method by Odyssey Lenoir is her latest fast-paced novella featuring a well-seasoned gentleman and a self-assured younger woman. Both characters have some mental health challenges and personality issues which play out over the course of the story. They are enjoyably over the top!
For much of her life, Keyana has grappled with feelings of abandonment due to her father’s voluntary exit from her family. He is living his best life with a new wife and brand new kids. They have no relationship but that doesn’t stop Keyana from “stalking” his social media posts. While in this investigative mode, she stumbles over Maxwell, beautifully aged and her father’s good friend. In her thirsty perusal she inadvertently calls him and hastily apologizes and hangs up.
Maxwell is a dedicated bachelor, but he can’t resist the beauty who called him by mistake. Determined to know more about her he is intentional in his moves and makes a date with her. They both profess that they are only looking for a casual, no commitment interlude; however, their feelings and actions clearing state otherwise! Maxwell is possessive and territorial, while Keyana is strongly drawn to Maxwell’s passion and control! But what will happen when Maxwell discovers that his new obsession is secretly the daughter of one of his oldest friends? Will Keyana appreciate his methods of correction, or will their fiery connection implode/explode and leave them reeling from the fallout?!
Conclusion:
Ms. Lenoir has a smoking collection of age-gap, possessive/obsessive love stories (they are all entertaining and my favorite one is The Vigilante's Obsession). Silver Fox Healing Method was a fast, fun read with some honestly surprising moments. Maxwell’s sophisticated exterior hid an unexpectedly ruthless interior. He didn’t play about Keyana with anyone (not even WITH Keyana😊). Keyana also appeared to be tough, but she still had a world of hurt on the inside due to those feelings of rejection from her father, Maxwell’s love and care was just the healing she needed. Final words, Maxwell and Keyana made a cutely quirky couple, and I appreciated how Ms. Lenoir tied up their story with a comprehensive epilogue.
Favorite Lines:
Can I blame her for what she did? I was a casualty in a war I never should’ve been part of.
“You wanted someone who isn’t going to leave you, right?”
“Stop stalking me, Maxwell!” she groans. “You stalked me first,” I remind her.

It started as a revenge situationship/relationship. But it soon got serious on both sides as Maxwell let his thoughts on sharing be known. But how will it all end when truths comes out and others get involved. Good short read.

This was a quick and sexy novella! I liked the main characters and storyline! This was a fast paced read but it didn’t feel rushed! Sometimes you just want a quick but sexy story and this was it! Overall it was great read and I’m looking forward to reading more from this author!
