Okay, this book was SO much fun! 😍❄️
Roommates, forced proximity, a bisexual awakening, four years of yearning, hot snowboarders, and a bet that is basically guaranteed to blow up in their faces… YES PLEASE! 😂🔥

Nikola and Dallas had such a great dynamic. Nikola has been carrying this crush and attraction for YEARS, while Dallas is completely oblivious until suddenly he starts looking at his roommate in a very different way. Watching Dallas slowly realise that maybe Nikola isn't just his friend—and that those feelings he's been trying not to acknowledge might actually be something more—was EVERYTHING.

And that bet?! 😂 These two really thought they could make a no flirting, no kissing, no sleeping with anyone, and absolutely no self-love pact and somehow survive living together for an entire season. With all that built-up attraction between them, they never stood a chance!

The chemistry between Nikola and Dallas was 🔥🔥🔥, and the spice definitely delivered. There is SO much tension between these two, and when all that four-year yearning finally starts coming to a head… 🥵

Overall, this was a fun, spicy, feel-good MM romance with a fantastic friends-to-lovers/roommates setup, plenty of sexual tension, and two men who had me grinning at their antics.

Snowplowed by Nick Alamance is such a fun and spicy take on the best friends-to-lovers trope! Escaping to Craggy Mountain was the perfect distraction from the constant summer heat. I enjoyed every second of this one!

The story takes place at a remote ski lodge and follows Nikola, a ski lift engineer, and his roommate for the season, Dallas, a snowboard instructor and the lodge’s resident lothario. Dallas has known Nikola for four years, but he has no idea that Nik has had a crush on him for all four of those years. Tired of watching Dallas constantly flirt, and wanting to avoid him hooking up with anyone in their shared room, Nikola challenges him to a bet: no flirting, kissing, or sleeping with anyone at the resort, and absolutely no “self-love.” Whoever breaks first has to give the winner the ability to kick them out of their room whenever they want for the rest of the season. As Dallas enters the longest dry spell of his life, he starts seeing Nikola in a whole new light.

Watching Dallas fight for his life through this bet while coming to terms with his bisexuality was so much fun! Nikola and Dallas have such great chemistry, I couldn’t help but root for them to get their shit together and finally acknowledge their feelings. Their journey is definitely a steamy one, but the ending is so sweet.

If you enjoy roommates/friends-to-lovers romances with plenty of spice, you won’t want to miss this one!

This was a sweet and spicy friends to lovers book, with lots of pining and a fun ski resort setting. Dallas is a golden retriever himbo and Nik is grumpy but soft. I wish we got more background on the MCs and that they had deeper chats so we could believe their love more, especially since at the beginning it didn't seem that they were really friends, but overall it was an enjoyable read. It would have also been good to get the scene where Dallas has the chat with Mark towards the end. I'm curious about Rex and Teddy who made cameos in this, so I will definitely read their book too.

Okay first and foremost, I ADORED this book. Truly. I found myself wholly attached to both Nikola and Dallas alarmingly quick. The snow lodge workplace aesthetic was so warm and cuddly that I genuinely felt like I was enjoying a winter ski trip, versus the perpetual heat I’m actually subjected to.

You’ve got Nikola, classic grumpy secretly pining for his (begrudged) roommate who he’s been crushing on for years,
and then Dallas our lovable himbo playboy sunshine (who is perpetually oblivious 🤦🏻‍♀️).
So what is Nikola to do with a whole season of watching his crush getting it on with all the ladies? Make an abstinence bet. Obviously. And if this just happens to lead to a surprise bottom awakening?? Well that’s just a “risk” they’ll (obliviously) take.

The forced proximity for these two best friends is so much fun, and the subsequent slow burn? *chefs kiss* Don’t even get me STARTED on the spice. I felt like I needed to hide my screen…whilst sitting along on my couch.

Nick Alamance has such a beautiful way of bringing men together on the page, with well rounded “opposites attract” characters who somehow meld together perfectly! All the while being very low on the angst scale, which gives the reader a fun and very enjoyable read!!

I received an ARC copy of Snowplowed.

I really enjoyed this. It was nice and descriptive without feeling like too much. Just enough longing and burning that I kept turning the page. Had me kicking my feet, giggling at times, and also feeling like I might go bald from pulling out my hair at others. A very fun, cozy read. Perfect for the colder season. I liked how all the characters felt like they had purpose in relation to the progression of the story. Like it didn't feel like the author was like, "Ah well this person can just be... whatever for whatever." It didn't feel like lazy writing. And as far as I could see, there weren't many errors. Although I'm not a good judge for that. When I first started reading, I was watching for anything off but then I got sucked into the story and that's all I could see. If I did have anything to complain about, I would've liked to see Mark and Wesley's conversation and how he handled it. Actually, I would've liked to see Nik and Wesley's coming out in general.

But overall, I really had no major complaints. I'm rating this 4⭐s and adding it to my reread list for next year's cold months 💙

What an absolutely lovely friends to lovers story.

Im a sucker for a golden retriever mmc with some Himbo tendencies and Dallas did not disappoint. He was adorable from the get go and I loved how he accepted his attraction to another man immediately. No shame or embarrassment, just pure acceptance, lust and later love for his best friend.

I liked that Nikola, despite being the bigger and broader guy, was the more reserved of the two. Typically it’s the other way around so it was refreshing to have him be pining over someone else and apprehensive about their burgeoning relationship.

Their connection, built by a friendship first, was lovely and the spice was delicious. Although I was worried about Dallas’ health at one point and thought one more orgasm might just give him a heart attack—the poor guy needed a break!

Oh and I loved the Rex cameo!

As expected for Nicks writing, these characters were lovable and charming and you couldn’t help rooting for them. If/ when there’s another installment for this series I’ll be at the front of the queue to get my hands on it!

This is the first book I've read by this author and I've already downloaded another (exited to read about Rex and Teddy). This was a great book with idiots to lovers lol they were both oblivious in the cutest way. Duel single pov helped see how each person felt so I was yelling at my kindle to just communicate. It was low angst and drama and just a great comfort read. Dallas was such a playboy and just wanted to include his bestie Nik. Nik cant stand being included because he cant see Dallas with someone else. This leads to some fun encounters and chapters. With as cozy as this book felt the spice 🥵 was not expected but once it started 🤌💋 I look forward to more books by Nick Alamance.

I’m a sucker for friends to lovers and this definitely hit that mark. Nikola’s irritation in the beginning felt out of place, it didn’t seem like the stakes were high enough for such reactions from him. I was also surprised by Dallas’ seemingly sudden romantic interest in Nikola upon learning Nikola is gay. I wish that had been fleshed out more thoroughly. But eventually the chemistry started to build and everything seemed to fall into place. The chemistry in the spicy scenes was great and exciting. Pacing was good and made for a quick read. I’d recommend this book to anyone who loves a nice comfort read.

I knew I had to read this when I finished Belaytionship earlier this month and it did not disappoint!
The relationship between the two main characters is so sweet and the setting taking place at a snow resort was really fun. This book is sweet & spicy with yearning and pining that will make you swoon. My only note is I wish it was a bit longer, I wanted more!
I’m so grateful to have gotten the chance to read this early as an arc, I’ll definitely be reading upcoming works!

However I didn’t buy that they were “best friends” before becoming roommates, so all mentions of that fell pretty flat for me in the first parts of the book.
