Stranded, and without anyone who can understand what's coming out of his mouth, it's Groot vs. The Cosmos in a trek to get his best friend back! Featuring a special guest star who's really outta this world! Groot may look intimidating, but, trust us, he's all bark!
For a story set in the cold, dark recesses of space, I find these tidy, little issues very warm. I loves me some deep character development and here I am basking in it through the lens of a tree and raccoon.
One of the things I wondered when I saw the movie, is how someone as calm and gentle as Groot became friends with Rocket who is a very short-tempered creature with love for violence and guns. This is the issue that tells the story of their beginning. I really don't care if there are other origins to their starting cause I loved this one every much. It was harish, sad and sweet in the same time. The part where other Marvel heroes were in Groot shapes/appearance was really cute. For a character that doesn't say more than (I am Groot!) they really did an awesome job making this comic. You can understand him talking without translating anything.
Cute and funny, Groot #2 brings smiles and laughs. The first meeting between Rockey and Groot is brought to life in beautiful color. A little side trip dream full of Groots is good for a laugh.
I really liked where the story is going and the things that Groot gets himself into is funny. His way of doing things makes me smile and cheer him on.
When he encounters someone new he always wants to make friends with them and he shows that he is a loyal friend to Rocket by going after him but meets a lot of interesting people along the way.
